at first: strong. herbal, cologne-y, and a bit boozy. on: sweet, herbal, a bit biting, and boozy. there's a floral edge to this, too, along with some warm spiciness. let's just say that there's a lot going on. 1.5 hours later: a very, very pretty, sweet floral. lovely. i think gardenia works really well on me. 3 hours later: still sweet and floral. really gorgeous. 4.5 hours later: a soft, white, sweet floral. overall: this is totally not what i expected, but i adore this. i'm thrilled that the orange blossom didn't appear on my skin and that it ended up being such a beautiful floral. woo hoo!

at first: pine-y and dark. on: spicy, earthy, pine-y, and dark. very interesting and nice, in a supremely dark sort of way. 1 hour later: heavy, dark, earthy, and very sweet. 2 hours later: still sweet, but with an edge to it that reminds me of men's cologne. 3.5 hours later: the wood notes in this are going a bit odd on me, but it's still retaining some of that earthy sweetness. 5 hours later: earthy and woodsy. overall: this is really, really nice on me at first, but i'm not sure about the drydown. i do find it really comforting, though, so i'm going to hold onto my imp for a while.

at first: fresh, lovely verbene and a bit of bright ginger. on: wonderful. this has two of my favorite notes, ginger and verbena, and they're all i can smell right now. lovely. 1 hour later: still bright, but a bit powdery, too. pretty. 2.5 hours later: powdery and light. there's a bit of soapiness to this now, too. 5 hours later: powdery, bright, and a bit sweet. overall: for my gingery fix, i prefer sudha segara, so i think i'm going to pass on this one.

at first: sweet, with a hint of citrus. i smell the vanilla more than the cocoa. on: much more cocoa, but nicely balanced with the vanilla. this still has a nice fruitiness to it, too. 1.5 hours later: a pretty, soft scent, thanks to the sandalwood. it's still a bit sweet, but something (i think the fig leaf) is smelling sort of "off" on me. 3 hours later: generally fruity and sweet. 5.5 hours later: faintly and pleasingly sweet. overall: i'm not sure about this one yet, but i think i'm going to keep it around for a while.

at first: gorgeous. lots of white musk and tea, with a touch of something floral. on: wow. this is bright and citrussy, with just a hint of sweetness. very refreshing. 1 hour later: sweet, musky, and heavier than when first applied. this reminds me of dorian. 2 hours later: this has moved back to being refreshing. lovely, slightly sweet, musky tea. wonderful. 4 hours later: soft, sweet tea, with a bit of musk. still lovely. overall: this seems like a less sweet, more mature version of dorian. lovely, lovely stuff.

at first: odd. sweet, minty, citrussy, and a lot of other things all rolled into a slightly chaotic, very bright scent. on: mostly lemongrass and mint, with a hint of sugar care. lovely. 1 hour later: lots of mint and orange blossom. there's also a bit of sweetness to this. 2 hours later: the tea is coming out more now and it smells odd with the orange blossom. 4 hours later: powdery and soft, with an odd note from the orange blossom. overall: what is it with me and "blossom" scents? they always end up going wrong.

at first: herbal and a bit powdery. on: very soft and almost sweet. 2.5 hours later: this is turning to a sour wood scent on me. 6 hours later: powdery and vaguely sweet, but still mostly that sour, woodsy smell. overall: my skin just did bad things to this one.
-
at first: watery and bitter. very green. on: sweeter, but still green and very watery. 1 hour later: salty and water, but in a murky way. 2.5 hours later: still salty and a bit green, but in a decaying sort of way. i don't like this on me. 6 hours later: powdery and vaguely soapy. overall: this one just didn't work on me.
-
at first: floral and a tad incensy. on: lovely violet with frankincense. i can smell the ylang ylang, too, but it's not overwhelming. half an hour later: there's a sharpness to this, which i think is the violet. 2 hours later: a sweet floral. the sharpness has gone away, so i'm thrilled about that. 5.5 hours later: sweet ylang ylang and a hint of nice violet. overall: for whatever reason, bpal's violet just doesn't seem to like me.

at first: sweet. on: warm and sweet, with a bit of brightness from the sweet pea. very nice. half an hour later: beautiful. absolutely beautiful. the notes are blending together perfectly and the sandalwood is hovering over everything. 2 hours later: this smells like powdery wood on me now. boo. 5.5 hours later: mostly woodsy and powdery, with a tiny hint of sweetness. overall: unfortunately, this just didn't develop nicely on me.

A sea of salty tears drowning out Alice's light floral perfume. at first: floral, a bit salty, and very, very watery. on: interesting. still very wet and vaguely floral. 4.5 hours later: very soft, powdery, and floral. 7.5 hours later: a smooth, watery floral. overall: this is really nice, but not something that i would wear.

at first: gorgeous! fresh verbena and lavender. on: very, very bright. tons of verbena and herbal lavender, with a hint of white musk and something a bit sweet and fruity. 1.5 hours later: very powdery and sweet. i love white musk. there's an odd, almost sour, fruity note to this, which i think is the fig. hopefully, that will fade away. 3.5 hours later: soapy and powdery. 4.5 hours later: still powdery and a bit soapy. 5.5 hours later: sweet and powdery. overall: i liked this at first, but it developed oddly on me.

at first: mostly cedar and a bit of labdanum. on: a salty wood scent. 1 hour later: a sweet wood and rose scent. very nice. 4 hours later: a little sweet, a little sour, a little woodsy, and a little soapy. 5 hours later: this has a definite tartness. overall: this ended up being a lot more playful on me than i thought it would be. i'm glad the salty/sour scent went away.

at first: lots of vetiver. on: warmer than at first sniff. i think that there's a bit pf clove and patchouli, but i still mostly get vetiver. half an hour later: more patchouli now, but still with a bite of vetiver. the balsam is coming out more now. 1.5 hours later: earthy and sweet, but still with a bit of sharpness. the vetiver has definitely calmed down. woo hoo! 4.5 hours later: warm, earthy, and vaguely sweet. i can't believe how well the vetiver is behaving on me. 5.5 hours later: very, very dark and still earthy and sweet. overall: this is lovely. i didn't think i'd like it, but the vetiver retreated pretty early on. it's definitely not something i'd wear often, but i'm glad i got to try it.

at first: lots of neroli, with a bit of cinnamon and ginger. on: warm clove and a bit of musk. 1.5 hours later: woodsy. i can't really pick any notes out. 4 hours later: kind of spicy, but mostly powdery. overall: this is ok, but not for me.
-
at first: sort of sour-smelling. on: mostly pepper. 1.5 hours later: a bit sweet from the dragon's blood. there are other notes, but i haven't been able to pick them out. 4 hours later: soft. vaguely powdery. overall: this isn't really anything interesting on me.
-
at first: it's hard to catch the scent of this. it's a bit sweet and dark, but not at all heavy. on: very light and powdery. sweet. half an hour later: a sweet, fruity scent, with a lot of earthiness in the background. 2 hours later: warmer and still sweet. the amber is coming out more now. 3 hours later: sweet, deep, dark amber. 4 hours later: a bit powdery, but still a lovely amber. 8 hours later: still warm amber. overall: this just ended up as straight amber on me.
-
at first: a sweet, fruity floral. on: this is so beautiful. i think i'm in love. i'm having a hard time picking out the notes. i smell things that are sweet, vaguely fruity, floral, smooth, and powdery. half an hour later: very soft, sweet, and powdery. 2 hours later: soft and powdery. 3 hours later: vaguely soapy, but mostly soft and powdery. overall: i thought i would love this on me, and it do...at first. however, the dry down isn't that great on me. i'll probably give this one more try, possibly in a scent locket.
-
at first: sweet and vaguely fruity. definitely foody. on:wow...lots of vanilla and cake. wonderful. 2.5 hours later: this is more perfume-y now. i'm not sure if i like it. 4.5 hours later: soft and sweet. a bit powdery. overall: this just didn't develop well on me. i think i'll have to keep going to beaver moon for my foody fix.
-
at first: astringent lavender and something sweet. on: there's a lovely sweet note to this that almost veers toward foody. the lavender is still strong and medicinal, which i like. overall: i'm not sure how well this works, but it is definitely calming. it's a nice bedtime blend. i'm definitely going to keep using it.
-
at first: lots of aloe and green tea. on: the mint and lime are coming forward, but there's still a lovely base of aloe. 4 hours later: the faintest hint of a slightly minty tea. overall: this, not surprisingly, faded really fast on me. i think i wanted something brighter and mintier.
-
at first: this is white and powdery. actually, it's even beyond white and powdery. crazy. on: i just spilled a whole bunch of this on my arm and...woah. that's some strong stuff. 2.5 hours later: this is very soapy and white. 4 hours later: this is just overwhelming. overall: this oil is far too clean-smelling and...i don't know...white on me.
-
at first: sweet and smooth, with a hint of biting citrus. on: lovely. sweet, citrussy, and bright, but smooth, too. very lovely. 2.5 hours later: very, very sweet and smooth. sugary. 4 hours later: a little woodsy, but still sweet, too. overall: i just don't seem to be having luck with the asian-themed lunacies.
-
at first: i adore lotus, so i'm not sure exactly why i skipped this moon. smelling the decant i have, it's just generally floral. on: super-sweet lotus with a bit of pine. very interesting. 2.5 hours later: sweet, soft amber and a bit of lotus. 4 hours later: very soft and sweet. overall: i'm glad that i didn't get a bottle of this, since it doesn't really do much on me.
-
at first: sweet and tart. on: this smells like a really tart, sugary candy. half an hour later: still about the same. i'm really surprised by how tart this is. i was expecting something more floral fromt he description. 1.5 hours later: much softer. there's a heavier, almost creamy, sweet note to this now. the tartness is gone. overall: this was really interesting at first, but my skin turned it into something ordinary.
