Viola starts out with a burst of heavy, elegant flowers - I can pick out the rose and lilac - but the woods and resins are just as present. A touch of citrus (a look at the notes tells me it's mandarin) shows up a minute later and mingles with the other notes until the drydown
This is the feminine, elegant Viola before the shipwreck and Cesario. The woods and the flowers and the playful mandarin capture the layers and complexity of the character beautifully.
