    Treat #1

In the Bottle:This one is a fantastic glittering sugar high! It smells of strawberry/watermelon lemonade candy. On my skin: it is indeed reminiscent of Jolly Rancher candy- true to it's candy heart without additional florals jumping in. Drydown: Still wonderful, bright, happy candy! I took my Treat #1 on a test drive and was very well received. Ed to correct spelling- shouldn't have stayed for the after party at the Lightning hockey game last night!

    Shoggoth

In the Bottle: Lime, maybe ginger scent with a light floral hiding. Wet on Skin: Still lime and now more floral- maybe a creamier scent beginning. That may be the green coconut. It is wonderful! On the Drydown: A creamy lime coconut floral. I can smell what may be the wisteria and muguet. Not a large throw. The citrus note fades as citrus does- so I am hoping that the floral part stays with the coconut. And so far after several hours it seems to be hanging in there. I am well pleased. I adore this one and I need more. Yea! LushieJane

    Cockaigne

Caramel cakes with cinnamon. In the bottle: It is toffee/caramel sticky sweet cake. Very foody. I am surprised that I cannot smell more of the milky cake and less of the icing. Wet on skin: It is still very sticky sweet but I can find some spiciness lingering around. Reminds me of a little of Eat Me and Underpants, but not exactly. There is a buttery toffee here. As it dries on my skin: More spice! A cinnamon spiciness mixed with toffee and stickiness. I don't find a lot of boozy on me. I wanted it to be milky and spicy on me like it is on some other's skins. It is quite strong- and I apparently slathered myself. I want it to work for me - I love Misk U and Underpants sooo, and I wanted this to be in my scent wardrobe too- but alas, it may be too much for me to handle. It is wonderfully foody and rich toffee cakes for those who can.

    F5

I love F5! In the bottle it is lime and verbena with just a bit of mint. Wet on skin the lime is there, some mint, verbena and maybe some of the musk- but only the smallest touch of musk. It is fresh and green, almost aquatic to me. Not much mint. On the drydown the lime stays longer than citrus scents usually stay with me. It becomes more verbena scent, and the mint is gone on my skin. Maybe it is the verbena, or maybe the musk- but something is making me believe there is a bit of a floral note along with the green. Delightfully summery! It does remind me of a mojito in the bottle- less so on my skin since the mint dissapears on me. My husband does not think it smells of mojito, and he had just had three when he was sniffing my arm. I love Embalming Fluid, Shattered and I love F5. And it lasted for the night on me. LushieJane

    Tavern of Hell

I smell dark smokiness and dark ambergris in this one, both in the bottle and wet on my skin. I cannot detect florals at this point. I, like sarada, find the sharpness and damp wood in it right off. Yes, unexpected. There is a sharpness to it- it is not a sweet little girl floral, so don't be misled by the white gardenia, melissa, and orange blossom- they hover in the background and speak meekly from the dark smoky corner as it dries. As the potion settles, more of the corners are visible, but it is still not some happy little floral. I still smell ambergis, wood, maybe smoke, with some small dusky flowers that are dying on the table of the dim tavern. I don't know that it works on my skin- but I wish it would because it is sooo different and unexpected. I know it's fantastic on someone. LushieJane

    Harvest Moon 2006

In bottle:Fresh apples and pomegranates, maybe a greenery hovering around the edges. Wet on skin: Still lovely apples, lush juicy fruit along with more of an herb... Drydown: More of the spiciness comes out- a fresh spice. Walking through an orchard- where the fruit and earth/wood/greenery is all mixed up. Slightly similar to the 2005 Harvest Moon- this one is fresher in it's autumnal glory, though. I give it a 4.5/5. Really good scent. Autumn, but it can be worn now if you can't wait for the season. And I can't wait- so I'm wearing it today! LushieJane

    Lotus Moon 2006

I wanted to wear this one several times before reviewing. In the Bottle: Lotus, green, herbal, slightly sweet. Wet on Skin: Still smell the lotus, but a little more sweetness in it. Not bubblegum to my nose. On the Drydown: Only slightly sweet on my skin. It dries to a feminine sexy scent. I detect a bit of lovely spice. Maybe some amber. Not a lot of throw, not overpowering. It seems just perfect to me. I love this scent. It is a grown-up scent, but not "old lady" like at all. I will need more of this! LushieJane

    Embalming Fluid

In bottle: Citrus and light tea, happy and bright. On skin wet: Still bright and happy - a very wonderful light scent for the warmer months. Very pleasant and light. The scent is like in the bottle on my skin. Drying on skin: It maintains itself nicely- the lightness and pleasant citrusy tea stays bright, and doesn't fade to any sort of fake fruit scent. It stays refreshing. As the scent follows me as I move it is nice to smell, and in no way overpowering. I really do like this one. Not "old lady" at all. Slightly gains complexity as it dries completely, yet stays nice. Not sweet, just light. After some time: It fades as citrus scents do, and I guess as tea scents do. Reapplication during the day will be necessary- or an excuse to change scents later for after work. It is great to be able to wear "lighter" scents when in groups of people that cannot bear perfumes- yet still be able to wear a scent that is sophisticated. Yes, that's what I would say - it's sophisticated. A grown up light fragrance. Love it! LushieJane

    Obatala

Oh my...I LOVE this one! In the bottle it is sweet milky coconut and shea, comforting and warming, yet a great warm weather scent. It seems familiar but fleeting in my head. On the skin wet- oh soooo good in the milky shea and sweet (not cloyingly sweet). As it dries- retains it scent very well. The coconut becomes more complex, the shea and other milkyness carries forward nicely. I'm gonna need a lot of this- it is my comfort scent! Similar to Milk Moon but more complex and rich. If you love Lush's Silky Underwear powder, you will simply adore this. Thank you Beth for this perfect brew! LushieJane
