    Black Phoenix

Boozy chocolate covered cherries. More marachino cherry than chocolate but all boozy. It gets even more rich the longer I wear it. I don't want to stop sniffing my wrist when I am wearing this. Deelish!!

    Czernobog

I bought this just based on the name. I love the Czernobog character in Gaiman's American Gods so this had to be purchased. Oh my! This is exactly how I imagine Czernobog smelling. This is is dark and rich and sexy. The tiniest bit if lime is there but it only serves to make this more alive for me. smoky and musky. A little bit sweet and a tiny bit tangy. I adore this. I feel so naughty when I wear this! *laugh*

    Nocnitsa

In the bottle: Pineapple and sage and rosemary. Wet: Yum! There is pine now that is stronger but not overpowering the first scents. Dry: This haven't changed much at all from the wet scent. Light pine with pineapple's sweetness and a touch of rosemary and sage. A nice combination! Overall: I'm really enjoying this more than I thought I would. This goes on my large bottle list

    Zombi

In the bottle: Green and acidic. I can't break it down any more in the bottle. Just very green and acidic. Wet: This is so bitter at first. I can slightly make out some rose but it is so faint. The more this warms on my skin, the darker green it smells. Dry: Reminds me of a New Orleans graveyard after a rain. The acid smell is still around. I can feel it on the back of my tongue with every sniff. Overall: This is one of the more intriguing scents I've come across. It's so bitter and dirty. There is only a tiny bit of dried rose coming out to keep the scent from becoming pure horrorshow. I NEED a large bottle of this!

    Bloodlust

In the bottle: This smells as red as it looks. Mostly spicy in the bottle. Wet: This is all spicy musk when I first put it on. I can almost make out the patchouli but it disappears right when I notice it. Dry: This is very sexy. There's something like cedar. A bit smoky also. The cinnamon isn't so apparent now. Overall: Sex in a bottle. This is earthy and spicy and just plain sexy!

    The Premature Burial

In the bottle: Green and dirty. Wet: Once this hits my skin the patchouli pops out and says hi. This is so dirty! Dry: This gets a little musty on the drydown. Not an attic musty though, more like an overgrown garden. The dirt scent really helps with the feeling of being in a garden. Overall: This is one of my most fave scents. I've always loved the earthiness of patchouli and The Premature Burial captures what I like most about patchouli and amps up the love.

    Venom

In the bottle: This smells like a gelled fruit candy. But slightly evil. Like candy with a razorblade in it. Wet: Jasmine booze, if there is such a thing. The sweetness I first smelled has turned boozy. Dry: Yep... still boozy jasmine on me. Overall: Smells interesting but not for me. A little too sweet for me to wear.

    Opium Poppy

In the bottle: Wow! Not what I was expecting. This is a very languid scent. Slightly floral with a bit of patchouli earthiness and just a hint of a spice. Wet: If this is what a poppy smells like, I am loving it. Deeply floral with an earthy smell and some smokiness. Thick and rich. Dry: This is going just a bit powdery on me but not in a bad way. This hasn't changed very much from the bottle. Overall: This is a lazy Sunday scent. Very very lovely!!

    Ra

In the bottle: Dry sweet grasses. The florals are very crisp. Wet: There is a cirtus hint on my skin and some sort of resin. This is a very full orange scent. Only, not orange the fruit, orange the color. Dry: The spiciness comes out now once the oil dries. There is the faintest hint of cinnamon. I am reminded of Constant Comment tea when I smell this Overall: This is really nice! I like it most after it dries. It's a fall scent to me where all the leaves have turned to red and orange and the air smells cold.

    Bengal

In the bottle: Creamy sweet cinnamon and clove! So far this makes me want cinnamon toast with real butter. *yum* Wet: It must be the honey that rounds the cinnamon out so well. It isn't Red Hots cinnamon. This is so smooth and rich. There is just the slightest hint of pepper that gets me in the end. Dry: This is so well-rounded! I want this scent to spread on freshly baked bread. This is the first oil I've tried with that honey note and I was worried about how it would play with me. I shouldn't have worried! The honey mellows out the spice but you now the spice is still there waiting to pinch you. Overall: I ordered my first set of imps based on Bifemmefatale's review of Bengal and I am so happy to discover it exceeded my expectations!

    House of Night

In the bottle: This is green like a freshly cut branch from a tree. And the sweetness of pear. Wet: Still that biting green scent. There is a smoky quality to this now. I wish I knew what the sweetness was. It reminds me of eating a sun-warmed pear. Dry: The flowers are in bloom! Now I am getting the dismal gloom. The smoke is wonderful with the flowers and there is a tangy scent in there. Overall: This is a very interesting scent. It changes every time I try to figure out what I am smelling. I want my mom to smell this. This reminds me of her.

    Santa Muerte

In the bottle: Rose and rich greenery. There is a tangy sweetness to this also. Very floral but (for me) not in a bad way. Wet: This is velvety red rose. And the sweetness of cactus flower. And lots of green to counteract the floral. Dry: Strong like a floral shop but not suffacatingly so. The green helps to keep it from being too cloying. Overall: A nicely floral scent but not for me. I bet this would pair nicely with a dirt scent like Death Cap.

    Death Cap

In the bottle: This is like freshly turned black dirt. Rich, moist, black dirt. The kind you want to plant wonderful greenery in. Wet: All I get is dirt. Dry: There we go! Still a wonderful dirty smell but now there is a slightly biting green scent. Dark green. And a touch of a wood scent, maybe cedar? Overall: I don't know what to say about this. I adore the scent but can't pick out any individual notes. This is a bottle must have for me. Love this!!

    Alecto

In the bottle: This is very green and with a sweetness like pineapple which I am beginning to suspect is vetiver. It's a very clean scent. Wet: Still that green and vetiver but the cedar comes out more once this is on my skin. Dry: The cedar becomes more pungent when this dries. And unfortunately the raspberry leaf also becomes stronger and starts to smell of body odor. Overall: I have to go wash this off. Raspberry leaf does not do well on my skin. First my shampoo and now this. *sigh* And it smells soooo good in the bottle!

    Lenore

In the bottle: Very light patchoul with a hint of dried rose and thyme. Wet: Much sharper scent now. The patchouli and thyme are still there but now I am smelling a smokiness and some saffron. Dry: Dusty dried roses, patchouli, smoke and saffron. The thyme only shows up at the end. This is such a dark scent. Overall: Oh, for the love of Lenore!!! I wish I had been introduced to this before it was gone from the Lab. I want many, many large bottles of this. I adore patchouli and this blend smells better than any patchouli single note I've ever worn. I love how all the different notes stand out amongst the patchouli. I adore Lenore!

    Fortunato

In the bottle: Orange liquor. Wet: Still that orange liquor but now the berry pops out. Very cloying. Reminds me of this sticky sweet frou-frou drink I got in Vegas. Dry: The orange has become melon. A watermelon Jolly Rancher. This is wayyyy too sweet. Overall: I can't help it. I just don't like this one.

    The Tell-Tale Heart

In the bottle: Cocoa and what I am guessing is the blood musk. At the very end I can detect just a bit of citrus. Wet: This smells like those chocolate oranges taste. Very yummy! Dry: Still chocolate and orange but the black pepper has come out to play and mixes nicely with the other scents. And the musk! It takes all those strong scents and mellows them out. Overall: I wasn't sure I would like this for wearing because it is rather sweet in the bottle, but oh my! This is amazing as it dries.

    Usher

In the bottle: Green with just a hint of orange peel. A very crisp and clean scent. Wet: Green and sort of soapy. *sigh* No citrus notes at all now. Dry: Soap. Just... soap. Overall: It smells lovely in the bottle but turns to soap on my skin.

    Magus

In the bottle: Very green and sweet, like pineapple without the bite. Wet: That sweetness and green is still there but now there is the addition of the sandalwood. I keep being reminded of a trip to Florida and stopping by the side of an orange grove. Only this smell isn't quite orange Dry: There's the cedar! The other scents are still there. I like how each new scent is in addition to the old, instead of replacing them. Overall: I ordered this just for something new to try and didn't research the notes first. I am glad I picked this! This comes across as an honest, clean scent to me. Very nice!

    Sloth

In the bottle: Chocolate and dark molasses. Oh yeah, very much the scent of sloth. Wet: Myrrh, something green and rich chocolate. Not the sweet scent of chocolate though. Chocolate without sugar. This is a very thick scent. Dry: That thick molasses scent is back and laying nicely with the chocolate and myrrh. Overall: Dark, sweet and thick. It gets more resinous the longer it is on my skin but it never changes from that "I'm not gonna move from this spot, even an inch" smell. Yeah, this is the ultimate sloth scent, alright!
  21. Eunice

    Sin

In the bottle: Cinnamon and amber. I'm not smelling anything else here. Wet: Nice! The sandalwood is coming out just below the cinnamon. The amber is very faint now. No patchouli at all. *sigh* Dry: There's the patchouli! Then just a little bit of the cinnamon and sandalwood comes through. Every time I sniff my wrist, the first scent changes. Patchouli which fades to sandalwood with a cinnamon ending. Another sniff and it is amber, sandalwood and cinnamon. Overall: Love how the different scents bounce around on my skin. This is such a warm, sexy oil!

    Wrath

In the bottle: Wow! The smell definitely fits the name. Spicy and peppery and RED! Wet: The cinnamon really pops out but it isn't a total burning smell. There is a smokiness right underneath the spice. No pepper once it is on my skin. Dry: The cinnamon is still there but it's a bit more sweet. Whatever the smoky note is, I am enjoying it. The pepper has come back and is very faint. Overall: This just smells yummy! Reminds me of those red square cinnamon candies I used to get from my grandpa.

    Iago

In the bottle: Vetiver in the bottle. Very faint. This doesn't have much of a scent so far. Wet: Soft leather and musk. This is really very light on my skin. Nice but very very light. Dry: Leather and a bit of green now. This isn't getting any stronger. Overall: I really enjoy the combination, very sexy. But not very strong. I have to concentrate to smell much of anything. Fades very quickly on me. *sigh*

    Djinn

... The scent of black smoke, of crackling flames, and smoldering ashes. In the bottle: At first sniff this is very sharp and acidic but changes to sage and resin. Wet: Metallic. And resin. Very intriguing! The incense smell reminds me of something I've burnt but I can't remember the name of the incense. Dry: The drydown hasn't changed much but now I am smelling a hint of lime also. Overall: I am enjoying the scent but this makes me feel like I want to be alone. Not alone in a bad way though. More like wanting to smell like Djinn while I am working in my studio. *adds this to the large bottle list*

    Séance

In the bottle: How on earth did Beth get all those big red roses in this tiny little imp?? Big blooming roses at their best, just before they turn brown and fade away. There is a sweetness also but not a foody sweetness. I can't wait to put this on my skin. Wet: Still strongly rose but now t here is a greenness below the rose. It's very boozy now. I didn't know what that meant before smelling Seance on my skin. Dry: That bright red rose scent? Now it's become dusty. This is the smell of roses left to dry out in a vase. Not rot though. This is a totally dry, dusty rose smell. The sweetness has come back and the booziness has departed. Overall: I wasn't sure how I would like this since I lean more towards earthy, spicy scent. This is WONDERFUL! Another one to add to the "must have" list.
