    London

Yay for roses! This isn't a heavy rose. London is very light and dainty. Refined. Another rose scent that confirms my love for rose.

    Ochosi

This starts out as sweet but turns green almost immediately. Every time I think I can make out the sweetness again, it disappears. This is very herbal and clean. No one scent stands out. This is just herbal green.

    Intrigue

What an interesting smell! In the bottle I can pick out chocolate but it isn't really a foody chocolate scent to me. This isn't sweet at all. I can make out the fig and even that isn't very sweet. This is a very rich scent all tied together with something green. This is such an amazing combination of scents that all work together so well. I know this seems like such a cheesy thing to say but this really is an intriguing scent!!

    The Cracked Bell

This smells even better than I had imagined! I don't smell the metallic blood at all. This just the slightest bit sweet but more of a creamy sweet rather than a fruity sweet. Sweet, creamy, musky incense. I cannot stop smelling my wrist! I am in total oil love. *swoon* This is so soft and rich!

    Phantom Queen

This is all orchid and apple blossoms to me. I get a little of the moss once I put some on my skin. This is a floral that isn't dainty or sweet. This is an elegant floral. An adult floral. I am liking this a whole lot more than I had previously thought. It smells good in the bottle but a hundred times better on my skin.

    Whip

I was so excited to get to swap for this! I've come to love the rose scents now and Whip just sounded too good to pass up. This is all velvety red roses in the bottle. Freshly cut roses with just the smallest hint of green from the stems. I don't smell the leather at all until I put some on my skin. And then, oh my! This is the first oil where I could smell the leather. Such a wicked perfume! This smells as good, if not better, than I had imagined. Love Whip!

    Nemesis

Cypress and red patchouli in the bottle. I get a little bit of cedar also. This smells a lot stronger in the bottle than it does on my skin. I don't get any of the fig at all. The ginger comes out once the oil gets heated up on my skin. The patchouli is still there (yay) but turns to a brighter scent with the addition of the ginger. I really really enjoy Nemesis! The only thing I can smell after it dries is the patchouli, rose and ginger. The combination is invigorating! This is a nice, clean summer scent for me, something I can wear that is the tiniest bit floral but not enough to make the bees follow me. This too goes on my large bottle list!

    Gingerbread Poppet

I got lucky and found someone selling a bottle of Gingerbread Poppet 2005 on ebay and it was worth every penny. This is the richest, creamiest, spiciest gingerbread I've ever smelled. This smells like gingerbread straight out of the oven, then slathered with real butter and served with steamed milk and honey. I can't believe this is a perfume and not something actually baking in my kitchen. Total comfort scent!

    Anne Bonny

Yum! This is my first scent with red patchouli and it is oh so nice! I love the sandalwood in here also. This is a lighter scent than most patchouli blends I've tried and Anne Bonny just comes off as wicked. Wicked good! This just gets better and better the longer it is on my skin. Oh how I love Anne Bonny!

    Mantis

Mantis is very green with the crushed herbs and amber sweet. I really want to smell the patchouli! This smells more clean the longer I wear it. Citrus clean. I'm not getting any earthiness from the patchouli at all. Mantis is very light and refreshing. I can't decide if this goes on my large bottle list or not.

    Maenad

Holy strawberry lipgloss! At first this smells exactly like a very glossy strawberry lipgloss I had as a kid. The more it sits on my skin to more peppery and green it becomes. Still sweet strawberries but now it's becoming a deeper strawberry, like incense. Nice to smell but still to sweet for me to wear.

    Clio

Citrus and peppery. Like the smell when you start cutting into a hot pepper. It gets more woody the longer it is on my skin but that citrus and pepper still hang around. I don't think I enjoyed this when I first tested it but this time I am really liking it. This is a total summer scent to me. That pepper is amazing!!!

    The Caterpillar

I picked this just for the name. Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass were my favorite books when I was little. The Caterpillar always fascinated me with his hookah. This oil was a must have. The oil smells like a yummy yummy headshop. and reminds me of my dad. *laugh* I can pick out the carnation in this and love it paired with the patchouli. The jasmine rounds everything out for me. This is heady and dirty to me and I adore it! I'd wear this every time I missed my dad. Must remember to have him smell this next time I see him.

    Hell's Belle

Oh, this is sexy! This is musk and magnolia and only the slightest hint of mandarin. The Mandarin grabs your attention and the mush and magnolia drags you in for a closer sniff. There is a creaminess that I can't place. Sooooo lovely! Sex in perfume form!

    R'lyeh

Salty grapefruit in the bottle and salty grapefruit on my skin. I want to say it is also soapy but only because it smells just like a grapefruit body scrub I use. I'd tested this once before and didn't like it at all but this time R'lyeh is more intriguing and clean. I like it a lot more. I feel very clean with this on. Clean and energized.

    Laudanum

This is one I picked up just based on the name. I absolutely hate sassafras tea but in a perfume it is amazing! There is the nutmeg making this spicy and much more wicked. The poppy mellows the sassafras and nutmeg so the scent sort of creeps up on you. Laudanum is distracting and makes me keep sniffing my wrist. Very addictive!

    Nyarlathotep

Green and resinous. I'm not sure what makes it ozoney but I like it. The longer I have this on, the more the lemon comes out. Not in an in yer face sort of way though. The lemon is still light enough without being biting. Nyarlathotep is very well-rounded and crisp and somehow still very dark. Must be the incense that makes it so seductive. I would follow anyone around who was wearing this.

    Anubis

... His scent is a blend of holy myrrh, storax, balsam, and embalming herbs. There is something sweet in the bottle. I am always reminded of pineapple but I don't think that is the secret ingredient. Once on though the herbs and myrrh pop out. I can't pick anything else out of this scent. I do know I love it. This is a head-clearing scent. Very calming and peaceful. This is the scent I would wear to a stressful family function. Anubis is another must have on my list.

    Samhain

Yum! Sweet pumpkin pie! And apple! I'm not really into the foody scents but Samhain (and Gingerbread Poppet) really make me crave wearing them. This isn't even a heavy scent even though it reminds me of pumpkin pie. The apple lightens this up so I'm not reminded of trying to cram in just one piece of pie after a Thanksgiving meal. The longer I wear this the more I am reminded of hot mulled cider with the creaminess of pumpkin. This is a lovely, well-rounded scent. My fingers are crossed that another rendition of Samhain comes out this fall!

    Love in the Asylum

I am all excited about this one! I got an imp in a surprise pack and could smell the rose straight through the cap. The rose combined with the tobacco leaf is so interesting. The really fit well together. I'm not getting much from the other ingredients but the rose and tobacco leaf really stand out. Love in the Asylum reminds me of this old coffee house in the college town where I lived for many years. I wish I'd had the opportunity to purchase a large bottle before this disappeared!

    Black Hellebore

Peony and green in the bottle but when I put it on, then the rose shows up. I am loving Beth's rose scents. They always smell like real roses and not like plastic. Black Hellbore smells like how I'd imagine an English garden to smell... light and elegant and refined. This is soooo lovely!!!
  22. Eunice

    Severin

Rubbing alcohol in the bottle. This actually burns my eyes when I take the cap off the imp. I have to put it on my skin to smell anything other than rubbing alcohol. Now I can smell the bergamot in the Earl Grey. This is all about the citrus and tea notes for me. I'd love to know why it smells so painful in the bottle and so nice on my skin.

    Zephyr

White musk, sandalwood and florals in the bottle. This reminds me of something that I can't quite figure out. This really fits the name so far. Once I put this on, the lemon verbena comes out. So light and bright! This is an early morning scent for me. Very joyous! Each scent is very light and breezy and happy. I feel so at peace smelling this.

    Desire

This is all patchouli and cherry sweet in the bottle. But on my skin the musk and rose are more noticable. This is a very light scent. I'd thought it would be more "in yer face" with the patchouli and rose but this is much more subtle. There is no more sweetness when this gets on my skin. It's all subtle musk, rose and earthy patchouli. Smoldering. Overall, I really really love the subtlety of Desire. I love that none of the scents overpower the others. Another oil for the "must have" list that just keeps growing and growing!

    Sri Lanka

The only thing I smell from the bottle is the myrrh but when I apply some to my wrist the cedar and sandalwood appear. I was expecting something spicy when I first saw the name but this is more of a woody spice rather than a cinnamon or clove spice. There is a greenness to this which plays well with the cedar. Totally comes off as an elegant and masculine scent. Very clean and playful. Lovely!!
