A sinister, darkly seductive scent inspired by poetry of Charles Baudelaire. Violet entwined with vanilla and gardenia. hmm... not sure what it was about this one, but maybe the mixture of violet and vanilla did NOT like my skin. It was overpowering! I was trying to give it a shot, and then try something else on my other wrist, and well... this one won. But not in a good way. Too strong for me! It did NOT like me at all!

wow... well, I WANTED to love this, but I should just make a mental note to stay away from anything with honey in it... i don't like the taste or smell of honey in the bear shaped container, and it apparently holds that against me! i sniffed this, and it was a little fruity and promising. On my wrist? wow. Umm... i thought "white chocolate" for some reason, but it was really just sour milk and HONEY. after a few mins? HONEY HONEY HONEY. I was actually a bit gaggy. The honey smell literally overpowered my ability to think straight, and I had to go scrub it off my arm. *boohoo*

i got Beltane because I went to a Beltane festival type thing this year, and I had a blast... so it was sort of in honor of that ok, the scent is very floral... and even a bit musty, which I normally don't care for... but it was like the musty smell KNEW I didn't like it, and stayed far enough away that I truly LOVED this scent! it seemed really relaxing, and made me happy. sniffing that makes me smile? Sounds good to me!

grass grass grass!! But I liked it! Like when someone is mowing the lawn... Normally that makes me sneeze, so it is nice to smell and enjoy it without that. Once it was on my arm a little while, the grass calmed down a bit and allowed a bit of a floral scent to come through... love this!

hmm... this is DEF more of a masculine scent that I'm used to on myself. I smell something peppery? But a hint of something sour in the back, haunting me and making me keep on sniffing, trying to "catch" what it is! Can't figure it out... oh well, not really for me... but caught my attention!

This one was very sweet! I smelled mostly the peach, and it was delicious. I kept sticking my nose back on my wrist. Almost candy-like, really... And the scent lasted on me quite a while. Hooray!

i really feel that the description of this scent from the lab is EXACTLY what it turned out to be... and I love it! Very crisp, airy, and clean... Smells like, well, MIST! A misty day... And the scent lasted quite a while, too! Note: I liked this on my skin less today than yesterday. Not sure if it was because I had just gotten out of the shower? Maybe it mixed with something... don't know. Weird! I'll try it again before changing my mind on buying a bottle. hehe.

i smell a citrus-y smell, with a bit of spice? i assume this is the orange blossom, but not positive... I like it, though! After it was on a bit, it smelled a bit like leaves... and a bit of spice. Lasted a while on me, too! yay!

how bizarre that i didn't smell ANY of the mint in this at all? I got incense-y... cinnamon, sandalwood? Smells nice, but more of a candle scent for me than a perfume. I will definitely try burning it in my oil burner soon!

i smell something sweet... the magnolia? orchid? Not sure, but I'm THRILLED, because Jasmine (though I love it) tends to TAKE OVER whenever it is in the mix, and it doesn't on this one! HOORAY! I can smell it there, but it isn't the ONLY thing. Black Dahlia is A-OK in my book!

Woot!! I got THREE packages today with BPAL! Here is what I got: from Beatrice33: 5ml Beltane ('05, i think?) neo-tokyo empyreal mist white rabbit tarot: the world FRIMP: ummm... I feel badly, because I opened all my three packs in a hurried excited way, and I'm not sure exactly who gave me what frimps! DUH. I believe this one came with a sample of Tranquilty oil from www.sonomascentstudio.com! from aidenraine: fae rosalind black dahlia FRIMP: I *think* this wass the one with a cute perfume sample included from caramialove: 5ml Dirty (yay!!) FRIMPS: le serpent qui danse, titus andronicus, AND ahathoor!! Someone of these three also gave me a sample of Lush shower gel, and someone else gave me an official BPAL postcard! I just wish I had thought about it when I opened everything. hehe. Just as long as all three know I appreciated it all, I should be A-Ok So far, I know that I want a bottle of Empyreal Mist. I also know that White Rabbit made me gag a little. LOL.

Well, I just caught up with all my reviews of scents I've tried so far (yay!). Seems I have 6 imps now that are ready for HennaFairy to sniff... then swap off (to her or whomever). oh, cordelia, why oh why? Lemon/green tea? Should be LOVELY! But the cedar and musk are all I can smell on me... and, well, after some time? Just musk. musk, musk, musk Musk does not like me,and i do not like musk. what a shame

mmm... I got Titania as a frimp (it was on my wishlist, too!). Out of the scents I received, this one was my favorite! at first, it is a little bit of the floral I can smell,but mostly peach? pear? fruity... maybe the sweet pea? This is DELICIOUS! This scent lasted quite a while, too! the fruity candy smell was something I wanted to keep sniffing on every few minutes! bonus points, of course, for my boyfriend liking this one, too!

i get jasmine (i like jasmine, but it CAN be overpowering)... and, YES, my favorite! honeysuckle! This smells similar to something else i love... Ligeia, I think? *getting confused*. it is a VERY strong jasmine, though... so, for people that don't like that, this may be one to avoid! as for me? I'm digging it (even though my other wrist is SO fighting me with the soapy insanity that Catherine turned into... back down, soap!!) p.s. the jasmine has mellowed out a bit more, to give way to more honeysuckle. YAY!

well, i know what this one smells like out of MY childhood! The "forest" smell that was in my scratch and sniff Bambi book. LOL. The one I didn't REALLY liked, but kept sniffing anyway? random. anyway, this smells very grassy/herbal to me. I want to not like it, but keep on sniffing it. Hard to explain. On my wrist? the strong herbal smell is a little less strong... giving way to the mellow smell of a flower (probably the orange blossom, as it is not rose-y). overall? not sure i LOVE it, but it is nice! *edit* This just totally went soapy on me! how bizarre... boo

ok... at first, I LOVED bayou! I smell the citrusy/grassy scent. Love that... sort of strong, but in a way I like. THEN, unfortunately, the scents that I like about it strip away... and I'm left with the smell of the soap in my grandmom's bathroom. boohoo. Definitely don't want to be smelling like old lady bathroom!! may try burning this one, though! maybe the scents I like out of it will last longer and not tilt to that potty room smell

boohoo... When I opened Juliet, I believed it would be my FAVORITE scent! Very sweet floral, and I could smell my FAVORITE note: Honeysuckle! YUM. On my wrist, I could smell the yummy honeysuckle, with a little bit of lily in the background. and maybe a little of the sweet pea? not sure... What was wrong? Well, after about an hour, it went TOTALLY musky/dusty on me! all the sweet yumminess went away, and left me with a yucky smell... maybe just the lily? not sure. But it made me sad

This was actually my first BPAL that I tried, and the first bottle ordered! in the bottle, there is a sweet floral, yet a little fruity smell. On my wrist? it is sweet... i smell mostly the pear and magnolia. Delicious!! My boyfriend loved this one, too, so much he is paying for the bottle ordered. That gives it extra bonus points! Also: Made a great candle, too! My apartment smelled FAB!

Oops! I tested this weeks ago, and forgot to review it *duh* Thanks to HennaFairy, I was able to test this lovely scent on my wrist. I LOVE this one! In bottle, it was MELON. Yummy sweet melon! On my wrist? more melon I didn't really smell much else out of the description... an hour later, I could still smell the melon on my wrist. Note to self: Get your own bottle of this!

is a bit overwhelming! Last night's Lab update is my first as a BPALer, and I'm sort of flipping out! How can I begin like this! LOL. There are TOO many new items! I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure they do not normally add so many new items at once *scared* *wallet runs and hides* I'm definitely ordering Litha. Lotus Moon doesn't really appeal to me, so hopefully when I sniff HennaFairy's whenever she gets it I won't like it. LOL. As for the Dragon scents, I know I am not getting any of those (dragon's blood scent honestly makes me gag. oops). And the Salon!?? Yikes. I love the way all of that is laid out, and designed... but since they are GC, I'm not going to freak out and order a ton (as they won't be leaving any time soon). Phew. Then there are THREE new categories sitting on the Lab's page waiting for debuts. AND more will be added to GC & the Salon! So, my plan is to order Litha before it is over. Then probably just an imps pack of 6, to get a few items on my wishlist that I don't tend to see on people's sales/swaps lists. still awaiting my shipment from Germany. It BETTER get here before the Meet N Sniff in NJ next weekend!! grr...
