When I put it on, almond came screaming up, and I was disappointed. However, within a couple of minutes, it sank back, and now a complex blend sits in its place, spicy and smoky, daring me to pick out its notes. I can't. But I do like it! A lot.

Aquatics and I don't get along. However, this one is lovely. Light, and ever so slightly floral, a mild, salty sea breeze. Lovely.

Usually I don't like dragon's blood, but here, the other components blend with it well enough. And cherry doesn't like me, but again, everything is blended so well that it works! I'll keep my imp.

I guess I'm not a "soft" scent gal. This is nice; the notes blend well, and it's aesthetically pleasing; but I prefer something with more body to it.
-
In the imp, it's amazing. Creamy sweetness with a hint of spice; it reminds me vaguely of Underpants! But on, it fades to almost nothing, and the creaminess is gone; I can smell the scent of a freshly carved pumpkin, with sugar sprinkled on it. Not at all what I wanted. I might try it as a room scent, though!

In the imp, I can pick out all three notes. On my arm, however, it's all pine.

I very much liked the smell in the imp: fresh, light, a hint of sweetness. Unfortunately, within five minutes, it had faded away completely from my hand.
-
This was a generic sweetness, with something I didn't like winding through it. It was okay, but there are other sweet blends, like Bordello, that I love, so I won't be reaching for it.

Now this was beautiful. Damp, lush, slightly sweet, and fresh. I will be wearing this when I need to be reminded of the outdoors, of the forest.
-
That underlying wickedness just didn't do it for me. I don't know what it is, but I couldn't pull any rose out of it at all; just a not terribly pleasant smell. I'll pass.

In the imp: A very pretty floral. Wet: The florals back off a bit, and here are the spices! Dry: It all settles down to a blend where I can smell the spices and flowers equally. It is a perfect balance; floral enough so that it's not just another spice blend, and spicy enough so that it's a floral I'll wear. Keeper!

In the imp: Rosewood and sandalwood. Yum. Wet: Spicy, here come the amber and musk! Dry: Wow. Fabulous. Everything comes together, and it's great. Very masculine, but oh, I'll wear this myself! I don't think I'll need a bottle, because this is not an everyday kind of scent for me; I'll have to be in a take-no-prisoners mood to pull this one off.

In the imp: Very fresh, and green. Not floral at all. Wet: There's a touch of floral in there, but not too much. Still green and fresh. Dry: A smokiness creeps up, but not a lot. It drifts through the green, and it's quite nice. I'll probably keep my imp, but I don't see a big bottle purchase here. I could change my mind, though.

I loved the name, which is a silly reason to get a magical oil, but then the description is a good one, too. I definitely need more people in my life. I put it on Sunday to go to a "family reunion" with a side of the family that has just begun speaking to us again after 30 or so years. Success. I think they were kind of inclined to it anyway, but everyone was perfectly lovely. We talked, and hugged, and basically made friends. I'm very happy about it. And to top it off, the scent is gorgeous! Musky, and spicy, with the rose dancing in and out, never on top, just floating in the background. Beautiful. High marks here!

DCCXXV (725) In the bottle: (which was full nearly to the top!) Green floral. They're pale flowers, from what I can tell, and well hidden behind the greenery. Wet: Still the same, perhaps with a touch of wood peeking out. Dry: Here come the flowers! I have no idea what they are, but headache, here I come! It's very soft, though. I am soooo trading this!

A nice floral scent. Delicate, but not faint, if that makes sense. I can *just* pick out the frankincense, but nothing else stands out. Well blended, for me it evokes the evening, after the sun has set, but before night falls completely. I can see wearing this when I want to have a calm, quiet time to myself.

In the bottle: The caramel is right there on top. Wow! Luscious. Wet: The caramel disappears almost immediately, leaving behind only a memory to mix with the other notes. I smell spices and currant and amber. Dry: The caramel is back, but only faintly, and the whole blends together into a lovely, soporific scent. Yum.

Here are some florals I can like. The incense was very strong when I first put it on, but it has dried down to a lovely mix of incense, gardenia, and lily of the valley. No rose in evidence. Soft and lovely. I'll be wearing this in winter.

I love amber and musk, so I thought I might survive the roses. Nope. They're everywhere! They're all I can smell! They're giving me a headache! Bummer.

I'm not even sure what it is I'm smelling here.... but I love it. Deep, deep scents. Musky, dark, with a buried hint of sweetness. I am in love. And it lasts like crazy.

In keeping with my policy of trying every imp I am fortunate enough to receive, I tried it. I am reminded that I am not a pure floral person. It was okay, but to me, smelled too much like something from a department store.

I have now discovered that I don't like dragon's blood resin. Darnit. I wanted to, but oh well. Nothing in the catagory works for me.
-
I should know by now that citrus and I don't get along. 'Nuff said.

A pleasant scent. The lily is really up front for me, with the frankincense taking a back seat. However, it doesn't make me go WOW!, and since there are so many of Beth's blends that do, I'll pass on my imp, hoping that someone will love it. ADDED August 15: In the Imp: I get almost a pale mint note here, which is odd. I also can detect the lily. I can't smell the frankincense. Wet: Ah, there's the geranium! The mint is gone now. Dry: A light floral, and there is almost no trace of the incense, which I think is strange, but it might be buried in the background. It's okay, I guess.

Pink. Sooooo Pink! I can smell the sweet pea, the strawberry, the pear, and the honeycomb; the vanilla is almost hidden. It's strong, but not overwhelming, and sweet without being cloying. I love it.
