... An incense blend that invokes the higher qualities of mercy and compassion, mingled with the soft, sugared currant scent of offertory soul cakes. I liked this when I first put it on; the cakes were right up front, and I could get a waft of the incense. Within five minutes, however, it was completely gone.

Oh, oh, oh, I'm in love! This is the first BPAL cocoa scent that likes me! And I can pick out vanilla, and lots of sandalwood, and a touch of orange and amber. I've had it on for a half hour now, and it's so lovely. Keeper!

In the bottle, it smells great. Very foody, warm. When I put it on, there was a note that while it wasn't bad (tried it again, it's the cardamom), it wasn't good, either. Had I given up just then, I would have missed a wonderful scent! After about seven or eight minutes, that note faded, and a creamy, warm, pumpkin-y scent now surrounds me. The amber is there, very faintly, with a whiff of ginger hiding way in the back. It's very slightly spicy; overall, a lovely fall scent that I'm glad I took a chance on!

Oh, would that I had ordered more than one bottle! I loves me some patchouli, and the notes I recognized in this sounded great. I figured that the ones I didn't know probably would work, and they did. Patchouli is definitely the strongest note here, but the musk tones it down, and I get wafts of the other notes. It stays very true on me; doesn't morph so much as soften into a halo of scent that surprises me as I move. Lovely.

This is a gorgeous, complex scent. Most of the time, I smell the ginger, which I love, but I occasionally get flashes of the mums, and under it all is a smooth, musky base. I took a chance and ordered two, and yay! I'm glad.

Well, I've discovered that I don't like red patchouli, which really surprises me. Ravenous is overly sweet, and there is a note in there that makes me wrinkle my nose. Oh well.

A lot like Eat Me, only better. I don't get the wine, but the cake part is luscious. Unfortunately, my imp cap broke! Guess I'll just have to wear it a lot....

I got an imp of this... nervously, since I loved most of the notes, but verbena is amped by my skin something awful, and sage and I only sometimes get along. Well, the verbena is a bit strong on me, but after a few minutes, it calms down to a bearable level, and the other notes come out to play. The combination of amber and ginger, especially, is just beautiful. This is going to be a gorgeous summer scent.

Spices. And rum. And sea spray. And a tiny bit of musk. This won't be an every day scent, but oh, when I want it, I'll revel in it. Complex and strong.

Jasmine sambac, dark musk, violet water, vanilla bean and mimosa. Jasmine kills it for me, apparently. I loved reading the other notes (especially mimosa! wow!) but all I smell is overwhelming jasmine.

I put off reviewing this, since the dominant note in the imp was almond, and I'm not an almond fan. But today I tried it. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. The almond fades away within five minutes, and I'm left with this amazing smoky, dark, herby blend, with perhaps some cinnamon. I'm in love with it. It's long lasting, and has quite a bit of throw, too. I just wish I had a boy to try this out on.

Verbena doesn't like me, and this is no exception. I got a full set of decants to try, and I'm glad, but the verbena overpowers everything else on me, and I just don't like it.
-
I took a chance and ordered a bottle of this, even before I got my decant set. I'm not sure I'm happy I did. There are notes in here that I love, but there is something sweet and cloying that is really bothering me. Normally I would love all the notes that are listed, but I'm wondering if there's something else here, too. Or maybe it's the combination that's getting to me. I really want to like it, so I'll give it a few more tries, though.

A great room scent; but I'm not much for herb-y perfumes, and this one has mint to boot, which might be, next to almond, my least favorite note.
-
Sweet and earthy in the imp, it stays pretty true on my wrist. It's nice, but not something I'll reach for.
-
I'd heard so many wonderful things about this, I knew I had to try it. Unfortunately, it doesn't smell like much at all on me. I didn't even get roses from it. I'll pass.
-
I normally don't like mint blends, much to my disappointment. But this one hold my interest. I'm going to give it a few more tries, because this might be the one that changes my mind!
-
Hmm. I got almond first off in sniffing this, which is odd, since there's no almond in the description. On, I got more honey, and sweetness. Quite nice. I'll keep my imp, though i don't think I'll be getting a big bottle.
-
Woody and herbal. Very nice, but not something I want to smell like. Odd, because I really like it.
-
Wow, this is sweet! So much sugar! At first, that's all I smell; then some flowers come out to play; possibly honeysuckle? It's hard to tell. This is quite strong on me. I like it, but I'll probably only keep my imp. I'll wear it a few times to see.
-
Now, normally my skin amps up lemongrass like nobody's business. And mint doesn't like me much, either. But here, they blends into a complex, pleasing scent. I can really smell the honey, too, and I like this. It might be a big bottle purchase.
-
All lemon candies, all the time. Not something I want to smell like. ETA: It morphed! Now I can smell the florals, and a bit of musk. I can't identify the other notes. Hmmm..... I'll have to note more carefully how long the morph takes.
-
I thought I wouldn't like this. I mean, the notes sounded okay, but I have to say that the artwork really put me off. I don't have a terribly dark soul, I guess. But what a fabulous scent! The guava is right there on top, and the pepper gives it a little kick. The florals are an undertone, and just the right amount! I might have to order this.... but how can I wear it without looking at the bottle?!?

For some reason, chocolate and cocoa scents never stay true on me, and this is no exception. I'm so disappointed.

Yummy! Oh, so yummy. I love fruity and spicy scents, and this fits the bill! And I love the association, too. This might be a big bottle purchase!
