The first sniff from the imp is sensual cherry musk. A cherry that actually works on me? Say it isn't so, the musk tempers it a bit and a bit of the licorice smell is coming forth. Without the licorice, i'd say the initial stage is kind of like Mania with the soft fruits and the musks. Almost sense a bit of wood in the background. As it dries the cherry smell I love is sucking it up and my body is amping the licorice. I don't know if I want to smell like black jellybeans. Glad to try it, but sadly it's not for me.

Musky melons greet me with the wet stage, there is a bit of wood in the background but to my nose it's melon and musk. Mm, maybe there is a bit of moss to temper it but unsure. As it starts to dry down the tabacco notes come a bit more stronger, and makes the blend smell like melon smoke. I sense a bit of the honey, but perhaps the other sweetness is the Juniper. The berry tends to be bitingly sweet on my skin if it makes any sense. The Gin is coming more out when it's dry, so it's kind of like a sparkly smokey melon scent, with just a tiny bit of kick from the Chili pepper. This is a very good unisex scent, and I could see someone wearing it during summer nights. It has a nice come hither to it. Very nice, but not my cup of tea. I'm glad I tried it.

The wood and Salty notes immediately leap out when wet, almost to my nose there is a soft depth of a dirt note but as it starts to dry the salty and the palm notes are tempered by a sweet wine note in the background, not quite as bittersweet as it mentions in the description. After it dries, it seems to loose it's throw very well and sink deep within the skin. The scent completely disappeared in only 30 minutes. I like the idea, and the blend very much but it sinks too fast onto my skin and disappears. There are other GC blends that last much longer on me.

    Tushnamatay

Wet, the notes of what seems to be air, myrrh and rose (or some kind of flower) is barely there in the background. It seems very grounded and soft, my notes can barely pick up any of the notes. There is almost a linen note in the blend, kind of what is used to Dirty. As it dries a faint wineish note comes to the top, it's hard to discern. It could be wine, it could be a certain grape, either way it mingles with the notes in a very calming soothing way. This blend is definitely very good for meditation, sniffing it clears my thoughts to a gentle rumble. The smell stays close to skin allowing one to become completely immersed in thoughts. Out of a lot of incensey blends, I like this one a lot. It's a very comforting smell to me. I will keep the imp, and once I run out of a few incensey blends I own; I may even purchase a bottle.

    Gluttony

Comes on strong like a big chocolate, buttercream sandwich. I do sense a bit of the hazelnut, and it reminds me of Nutella; smooth and rich and very savory. It's a lighter version of Candy Butcher on my skin at least. My skin sops up the cake, and there is a slight mention of the caramel but nothing that makes me want to gnaw my skin off. Glad to try it, but just not for me.

Hello vetiver, how are you doing? You have musk have musk and leather there? Can I at least smell them. No? Well, I'm sorry for that. It's a very dark themed scent, almost murky in it's plan. It almost reminds me of my chaos theory. I'm going to have to pass on this one, a bit too dark for me but I'm glad I got to try it.

    Dirty

It smells like I just got out of the shower, the barely there scent of clean white dew and linen. I recognize that note from Antique Lace. It stays very close to the skin, hardly any throw but it's very comforting as well. I could see this layering well with any vanilla note (or strong vanilla base) to invoke the same feeling. This one is really nice, and has a very unisex feeling.

    Roadhouse

The intial stage is wet and dewy, like freshly snapped dandelions with fresh cut grass in the background. This scent just screams summertime to me, lounging around when I was little after my dad had cut the grass. It's very invokative of this, and very heart warming. After it dries down, a soft gritty dirt note comes up from the background, very subtle and doesn't seem to overpower the dandelions. This scent is a lot better then I thought it would be. I might keep the imp for summer days for something light and cool. There is a creamy note that comes out near the end that reminds me of the milky sap in there as well. It's really delightful.

    Prunella

My bottle is about one year aged, but it's still about the same though the wildflowers are a lot more tempered. Bright gorgeous plums with soft meddles of cream. Definitely delectable, glad I have a bottle.

    Galvanic Goggles

Upon putting it on, I'm greeted with the warm scent of soup and eucalyptus smell (menthol perhaps?). Not very pleasant, seems almost like my body wash I put on myself. I think the soap smell is coming from the wood, I tend to amp certain woods very unfortunately and I think that's what happening here. The wood has calmed down and I definitely get the tobacco flower and the musk, but unfortunately it's starting to make me sneeze. Off to the swaps sadly. Glad to try it though.

Hm, putting it on I'm immediately taken apart with the citrus. The imp is a bit aged, and usually those notes decrease over time but it feels as though the thickest park of a mandarin or some type of citrus peel, biting into it. There's a bit of bite to it, pepper? It could also be musk. As it dries down something creamy at least by my nose is entering the mix. Ah! The creaminess is from the orange blossom now that I look at the notes, I recognize this note from Genevieve, L'artise diable. All in all, a really not bad note. It reminds me of Genevive to the T without the mint note that comes from it. I say if I didn't have the Le, or when it's gone I may go to this for a subsitute. I may keep the imp to remind me.

I smell the wood when I first put it on, but it isn't as pronounced as Cedar though that note usually overtakes everything in the perfume when I put it on. It's a very grounded smell, with I think Myrrh in the background? I can't tell with the power of the wood. After looking at the notes more clearly, I don't get a drop of that black current. That mandrake dust? My skin is loving the heck out of that and amping it all over the place. All the other notes are like, please can we at least play on the skin but the mandrake dust is all like "No the SKIN is mah precioussss". Glad to try it, but cedar/mandrake dust in disguised wins again.

    Velvet Tiki

It has decent throw, and a coconut note that doesn't completely overwhelm me. There is some pineapple in the background, well I think it is with a soft cherry note. I think anyways, it might be wood. Wet it smells like an upside down pineapple cake. Now this all what Oblata should of been on my skin, instead of coconut and baby powder. This will be a perfect scent for summer time and spring, it doesn't have a lot of throw but just enough to catch delightful whiffs. Glad I have a bottle! I always seem to do well with fruity floral scents (especially those with hawaiian based flowers!)

    Psychological Horror

From the bottle, the first sniff brings a bit of silver glint almost with soft musks. I'm pretty intrigued. It's faint when I put it up upon my skin, with the silver flash/ozone lending it. It tends to fade quite quickly so a generous slathering may help. The musks are soft and warm, I definately sense white musk, red musk, and I think blue musk too to lend a soft eerieness to the whole vibe. This seems very understated but very ethereal so to speak. Definately befitting of the name. I'm loving this too. Basically soft musks with a silver hint. I love it!

    Black Heart

Initial sniff from the bottle is very soft and fruity. Woodsy and Fruity? I can't really tell much. As soon as I put it on my skin, the fruits and the vanilla? overwhelm and envelop me. It's a very refined scent, similar to Montressor without all the gobs of wine and grapes. It's a very sentimental, and soft blend that makes me seriously swoon. I can smell the patchouli if there is some and it doesn't immediately overwhelm. It just heightens and softly brings depth to the image. I'm seriously loving this., it's like a darker Zarita, I'm so glad I took a chance and got a bottle. I smell dead sexy in this. It doesn't seem to last very long though however.

    Magus

First thing that jumps across my wrists is Ceder! Freshly thrown ceder and wood chips, I can feel the tingle of the wormwood but the ceder is dominating everything else. The ceder finally calms down but unfortunately, it still dominates everything. The ceder has calmed down and now the other notes are coming out to play and it's quite pretty, but the beginning stages is a bit too rough for me. I'm glad I tried it, but cannot see myself wearing this again.

    La Petite Mort

Patchouli and the Ylang Ylang make themselves known during the wet phase. Can't really smell the skin musk, or the sexiness that folks are talking about just the ylang ylang with the patchouli. Now that it's calmed down the ylang ylang is mixing with the skin musk but it seems to disappear too quickly at about an hour. I'm glad I got to try this scent but not for me.

    Centzon Totochtin

I smell the mexican chocolate and the wine, but it pretty much disappears and the blood smell (It smells like Velivert on my skin) pretty much takes over with a slight coppery tinge in the background while it's wet. As it dries, the cocoa element comes out a lot more, the booze notes no where to be found and Velvert smell still on my skin. Interesting, but not something I can see myself wearing which is a shame because I had high hopes for this one. It dries into a very sexual feral chocolate near the end of the cycle, unfortunately the beginning is a bit too harsh for me.

    Moscow

Just smell a lot of different flowers, the rose and the Jasmine are pretty much ganging up on everyone on my skin. There is a bit of sparkle which I assume is from the musk, and the orange is barely there on the background. It makes me sneeze which is never a good thing. As it dries the musk and the orange grounds the flowers but it's still not blossoming (haha pun!) on my skin.

    Thanatos

(Aged One year Imp) First sniff predicted a very soft and light scent, reminded me kind of Parlement of Foules with the resin for the first sniff. After applied to my skin, the warmness of the sandalwood comes out.; it ages very well tempering the rose just like parlement was. It almost smells like a dead ringer like that to me, heh. There is a softness which I precluded is the ross, the myrrh sharpness is gone that I normally get, and there is a faint silver of a majestic stone smell in the background. It was pretty much the same from wet to dry.

    Dragon's Milk

A lot of the creamy sweet cherriness that I've liked about the imp has gone away from when it's fresh. The vanilla and honey have actually smoothed out and merged with the dragon's blood. My bf commented that it smells like fruity bubble gum but to me it's all about the sweetness of all the notes barred together. A timeless classic and very sniffable! Glad I have a bottle coming my way of this! (The imp I had is aged about 3 years)

    Snake Charmer

To be honest, if one were to put both Misfortune Teller and this on my wrist at the same time, it would smell almost exactly the same. Just Red Musk party show, with some patchouli. No vanilla, no plum though they are there just lurking in the back letting the other two do all the work. Honestly though it's not bad, probably will get better as it ages. Hell, half the reason I got this because I needed something to tame the folks at my Call Center! In my mind, it worked.

    Priala, the Human Phoenix (2006)

Now Cassia, Cinnamon Bark, Myrrh? You might of just slapped me hard when I mentioned to get a bottle because all three of these notes are definite killers for me. I was a sucker for the art, and well after even when first given as well as after a few years, the oil has treated me well. Sultry, warm, and soft. Smells like Cinnamon Incense. It has aged wonderfully, and will continue to age well too as it gets older and older. Definitely if you are a fan of Myrrhs or don't like them very much just give this bottle a try. It will age well I can attest to.

    The Candy Butcher 2006

Well Most Chocolate Scents tend to either get very powdery or just smell like a candle. You know the real fake chocolate candles, oh yea. Those. So I picked up a bottle of this just to test it out, and this kicks it out of the park. Sexy deep dark chocolate that has been subdued by cream. Cream doesn't work on me usually, like chocolate so this was my anti scent! Two wrongs definitely make a right in my book. This one has also been aged for about 4 years, so the chocolate cream smell have gone darker almost visceral. I don't wear it as often but when I need a sweet pick me up, I reach for it!
