On me, this smells almost exactly like Hay Moon. Golden, warm, sweet dry grasses, a hint of lemon. It's a very sunny scent. It's lovely but as I already have a bottle of Hay Moon I won't need one of this. I will enjoy my decant though!

This is a warm, rich, sweet-but-not-too-sweet scent. I don't think I get any sweet pea at all. Someone up above likened this to a vanilla tootsie roll, complete with the chewy texture, and I think that's a great comparison. This scent has depth. It is definitely feminine and "pink." It has great throw on me and lasts for hours. Also of note: I loved this when I got my first imp of it and ordered a bottle right away. Fresh it was much sweeter, almost sugary. My bottle is about 7 months old now and it has really smoothed out. The sweetness still there but not nearly as intensely so, which is a beautiful thing.

LSSB is sweet-tart lemon candy when I first apply it, with the lemon in charge of the show. It sweetens as it dries, with the sugar helping to make it almost creamy on me after many hours. It has good throw for the first few hours of wear. It fades but I can still detect it if I bring my wrist to my nose. It is a straightforward, happy, yummy scent that is great for hot weather. My husband is a fan, too!

Mag Mell is a scent that somehow manages to be soft and warm but also fresh and bright at the same time. When I first put it on it reminds me strangely of lemon Pez candy. It is smooth and citrusy. As it dries it becomes a lovely, creamy lemony amber. I don't have many spring/summer scents yet so I've been reaching for this often as the weather warms. I love it and am glad I have a bottle so I can slather at will

Voodoo was the second BPAL blend I tried, and I have a vivid memory of how when I put it on, the fragrance just unfurled around me in this mysterious, delicious cloud. I was blown away and my love affair with the Lab had begun. I definitely understand the soda comparisons people have made. When I first put Voodoo on, it is rather bright with lime and cloves. As it dries it warms into a wonderful spicy, smoky vanilla. I don't get the cherry quality that other almond blends seem to have. Voodoo is complex and intruiging. It smells good on my husband as well. I've acquired a few imps of this but a bottle is certainly in my future

This must be the prettiest truck stop ever. Roadhouse smells like a grassy field full of dandelions. Maybe someone's just come through with a lawn mower, because it's a wet, stemmy kind of green smell. It's very fresh and springy...no sign of beer or tobacco or sleaze for me. Alas, it disappears too quickly, even in my hair.

Have you tried Mag Mell? On me it is a lovely lemony ginger amber. It sort of reminds me of lemon Pez at first I need to get a bottle, as it will be perfect for the warmer months.

Cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and pine sap. I bought a bottle of this unsniffed on Etsy in the recent Carnaval extravaganza. I figured I couldn't really go wrong with these notes, and happily, I was right! When I first put it on, Pickled Imp is CINNAMON. Loud cinnamon, with a whisper of pine. As is dries, it calms way down into a lovely warm vanilla spice. I can't really pick out the clove, but I know it's there adding to the happy comfy party. At the end of the day the vanilla becomes much more pronounced and it reminds me very much of the vanilla in Mouse's Long and Sad Tale, only warmly spicy instead of pink and sweet. I love this very much and am seriously considering buying another bottle http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/wub2.gif

Similarities Between BPAL Scents - GC and general discussion

I haven't tried Alice yet, but it's on my list! Based on my limited experience I think you might like: Mouse's Long and Sad Tale (Mad Tea Party): vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea, and white sandalwood. On me this is creamy and sweet yumminess. Morocco (Wanderlust): Arabian spices, warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood, and cassia. On me this is warm, dry, sweet spice. The scent description mentions incense but it is definitely not heavy. -
I love Snake Oil...and as a BPAL newbie I love it fresh, so I can only imagine how swoon-worthy it will be when aged. It was my first bottle purchase, but I'm letting that bottle sit while I use up my imp. When I smell it from the imp it is a bit sharp with a tinge of sweetness. The oil is thick and viscous with a pretty orange-yellow color. On my skin it becomes this wonderful resinous incense surrounded by a rich, round vanilla. If I put my nose right up to my wrist I get that slightly medicinal quality others have mentioned, but the cloud of scent that hovers around me is just delicious and heady. This lasts forever on me. It is definitely the fragrance I reach for the most from my small collection.
