In other words, the Ghost Mantis. First application, I detect balsam of some kind and maybe some amber or sandalwood. Whatever else is in here, it's creating a vanilla-like affect that is beautiful. There is a depth after drydown that reminds me of resins of some sort. It reminds me of U, Mutter a bit with the balsam/vanilla affect going on but it a bit deeper on my skin. And then it fades. Gorgeous but fleeting.

Again, inspired by that crazy looking bug, The Ghost Mantis. But boy, has it changed. In the bottle and after application, it is very cologne-ish with lavendar, lime, and black musk. Fougere-like, definitely. Sharp and a bit powdery (black musk on me is lemony powder, so YMMV), the lavedar is very present with maybe a hint of balsam. Definitely not my thing.

Straight on it is very floral. Tagetes I am guessing. Very Flor de Muerto to me, only there is an underlying grayness. Instead of fresh and shining as in Flor, this is very dusky. Still very fresh and clean smelling but definitely floral.

Crazy you should say that. Jacob's Ladder was my first Bpal amber love. I hope it works out just as well for you.

This starts out very woody and herbish to me. A mentholic note creeps in and really crashes the party. The blends starts to remind me of a more complex Vick's Vapor Rub with a touch of sassafras, maybe. Definitely woody Vick's. Or Vick's woody, who knows.

This blend was way more floral than I expected. The amber is very quiet in the background on me, until it's very dry. Then it is the star of the show but the show has almost left town by then. Not what I'm looking for.

A very sweetly aquatic floral. I get almost a cotton candy vibe for awhile, which is kinda weird mixed with the aquatic nature of this blend. After awhile into drydown, the cotton candy goes away and the scent is more reed-ish in nature, which is nice.

Very floral. I do get a bit of a red musk sent from this. But that may be just gardenia in the blend instead. A bit dry as well, maybe a bit of sandalwood? As it dries it gets sweeter over time so a bit of honey could be in here too.

I echo what CP said above me. Bitterly herbal with a drydown that is has a bit of a soapy, but pretty floral.

Ever smelled Fresh's Sake fragrance? Yeah, this is it. Without the peach I think. Reminded me strongly of Loosening of the Obi when that blend was in the wet stage. This stays like that all the way into the drydown.

Very spicy and dry. Not for me.

This was very sharp on me. Sharp citrus.

Definitely Celeste-like. The vanilla seems to be the same only there is a floral element that gives it an almost aquatic nature to me. A bit sharp, too. Not sure if I would wear it or not but definitely pretty!

This is quite pretty and may be bottle worthy for me. As the previous reviewers stated, it's a soft vanilla/tonka musk with a touch of floral. The floral note in here isn't sharp or overpowering but slightly sweet and clean (but not soapy). Resins appear in the drydown but I don't know what they are. It doesn't seem to be frankincense to me as it isn't peppery at all. Maybe a different kind than I am used to?

VERY strong patchouli when first applied. This calms down quite a bit after a few minutes. I also get something menthol-like and a lily note.

Very lovely rose. Slightly sweet and lush. Perhaps a touch of vanilla? Or that just may be the creaminess of the rose itself. A bit sour somewhere in the drydown but that goes away after a bit. Dry it reminds me quite a bit of Pink Snowballs.

Also, there is a thread here that discusses prototypes and upcoming scents.

Lovely! I love lilac and I have to say, most of the Lab's blends with it as a note end up soapy on me. Not this. It's realistic, fresh, and clean.

Ho. Lee. Shit. Ahem. This is not good whatsoever. For my wallet. Damn it, why must I love amber so much? This is beautiful. It seems like the base in many, many scents that I love and in the one Amber Chaos theory that I adore (and only have a decant of). Smooth, just a bit powdery (in a good way), with a vanillic tone, this is soft and warm. Love Affair...BEGIN!

Sweet, slightly sharp, powdery floral. It is almost exactly the opposite of things that I look for in a floral (smooth, a bit heady, hardly any powder, etc). This is definitely a note I would want tempered by other things in a blend (such as Mouse's LAST, which I really enjoy).

Beautiful musk note. Warm and just a bit powdery; very pretty. Maybe a bit of amber in here? It's lightly incensey to me. I don't detect much of a floral note at all, if there is one.
-
Very clean, almost soapy. There is an undertone to this that I don't much appreciate. It's sort of brown musky, dirty socks sort of thing. While I love smelling lily of the valley growing around my yard, this isn't something I would associate with that.

Beautiful, earthy, bitter coffee bean. Unrefined and just like sticking your nose to really good coffee beans. No cat shit required.

This. Add a dose of the plastic dish it is served up in and you got it. I should note that apricot never does very good on my skin, so maybe the plastic fruit type smell is just me.

Definitely a sweet green scent. Milky sap and stems with a floral undertone. Lovely.
