    Lyonesse

I think I've found another note that should I need to be aware of when ordering...Amber. This is lovely in the imp. Bright and sharp almost. On, the amber immediately comes to the forefront and takes over which wouldn't be a bad thing for me if it would settle without overshadowing all the other notes. In Lyonesse, it does...it drags everything down in a powdery cloud of dust. It's still lovely. Lovely enough that I'll be keeping the imp but no bottle buying on this one. ADDED 9/15/09: I have to re-review my review. I have to say I'm glad I never got rid of my imp. Sad to say I'm going to have to buy a bottle and let it age. This is the scent that screams "golden, bright, warm, lovely, regal" the most to me. It's probably in my top two amber scents and one I want to be able to turn to on the cold days of winter for comfort and as a reminder that I'll see the sun (and warmth!) again. No more powder, just yum. I LOVE it. LOVE.

    Cockaigne

Wow. Cockaigne does something on me that I never expected it to do: go nuts. Literally. In the imp it's all lovely bakery dessertness but once it hits my skin, it's nut...more nut..and then spicy nuts. I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean but I better keep the spice away from my boyfriend. Now, this is lovely but it's really not the bakery scent I'm looking for...I'm wanting less spice/more cream. Still a lovely blend with a lot of throw.

    Carnivàle

Another bottle that I got today. Unfortunately for me, it was a 50/50 day. In the bottle, this scared me. I smells to me exactly like an "old" perfume. Something to floral and way not me. At first "wet" it seems there might be hope as the carnation brightens it and something else holds it steady but quickly it morphs into dirt. Dirt it stays. This 5ml will be swapped. Fast.

    Sugar Skull

I just got a bottle of this today. In the bottle it's nail polish. Bah! Wet on my skin: It morphs into this lovely sugar blend with fruity notes in the background and continues to quickly change to sugar, spice and everything nice! Dry: It goes caramelly, vanilla sugar. Nice but hardly any throw. This one will need to be slathered. I put it in a roll-on to do just that.

    The Star

The Star. Omy do I love this. In the imp: coconut, lime and something else. Something warm. Overall a lovely twangy scent. Wet on skin: LIME! with just a touch of the nut! Drydown: it starts to morph into this lovely warm yet white scent...lovely...the coconut takes over and the lime disappears into a bliss of cream coconut. Overall it lasts quite well on me and stays put in that warm bliss of coconut and vanilla (I guess it's vanilla). Very nice, very summery and white.

    Pele

Pele was almost perfect for me. Wet it is a very lovely, soft non-perfumey floral, which I dig. I loathe anything overly-perfumey floral. On it sinks immediately into my skin and leaves a barely there hint of tropical blooms. Lovely but so light I have to huff my wrist insanely to smell anything. It's a nice, light scent so I'll keep the imp for I want a barely there, clean and light scent.

    Antique Lace

My first review!! Go easy on me. In the bottle: I get sweet, sweet vanilla cream. Lovely and strong and ripe. Yes. Ripe. Wet: Still getting the sweet vanilla cream Drydown: It's going musky, old and deep vanilla. I love the morph. It lasts on me for a good 3 or 4 hours but it's so strong as to put anyone else off. The throw is minimal but even with just dabs on the wrists I get waffs up to my nose, reminding me it's there. Overall, my first Bpal imp (a frimp at that!) was my first Bpal love as well. I have a bottle on the way.
