Caramel and smoke...sexy and foodie. Rawr!

Straight-up vetiver. I think my nose-hairs were singed...ow.
-
So lovely and Southern! Sultry gardenia and ripe candied peach...such a fun blend, I wish I could buy bottles of it.

It smells like mildew in the imp. On, it smells like understated floral, something unsettling (it's sort of incensey--very light and not exactly nice, but interesting). I don't think this is me, but it's definitely different

I'm amping the jasmine like nobody's business, but there's a full-bodied sweet floral behind it that's really lovely. It's a very golden scent that keeps the jasmine as much in check as jasmine can ever be . Very nice

I love this...I haven't smelled Dorian v3 yet, but this smells a lot like the released version + a light men's cologne and a hint of coconut. I must confess that this smells a lot more Dorian Gray-ish than the original and I love it!

This scent is right up my alley. it smells a bit like Jailbait--it has that bubblegum, candy quality to it, and a sweet, languid warm floral. Maybe Jailbait at age 39?

It smells unpleasant in the imp, like chemicals. Sharp and unpleasant. On (because I try everything ) the coconut comes out and it smells likke sweet coconut, tiki flowers, and a residual chemical smell. Sigh. Love it except for the chemical smell.

citrussy, green, clean in the imp. On the greeness (it smells a bit like juniper) sweetens a bit. This is a very clean scent but not soapy on my skin. Lovely!
-
It smells cakey and a bit perfumey in the imp, but on it smells like fruit and cake! yum!! It's not as heavy as the Monsterbaits are to me.

In the bottle it smells a bit like Independent...sugary, effervescent champagne. And then on some of the bubbliness wears off and it's a light, gentle floral. I wore this out last night and got complemented on it! And for good reason .

To me it smells like luscious cherry, coconut cake! Creamy, fruity deliciousness that doesn't fade. So lovely!

This scent smells like rocket fuel and candy to me...the alcohol is just SO strong, and then there's a Gooey Pillowcase sweetness to it that is so cloying. I love that people in this thread are so into this scent, but I'm definitely not one of them! This one will singe your nose hair it's so powerful.

Thank you SueDonym and Gypsy Rose Red for gathering these for us and sending them out! I was pretty sure I knew what to expect with this. And it's just as fizzy as the other Champagne scents, with a faint, pink rose scent underneath. But as it dries I can smell more of the rose, until it just takes over. And oh, it's not the fresh, red rose I was expecting. It's tea rose...like a Victorian tea rose potpourri I had when I was little. It smells like something to get a little old lady drunk with. I love champagne notes, I love rose notes, but together? Too sweet, like fizzy rose petals going right up your nose. Not for me.

Thank you SueDonym and Gypsy Rose Red for gathering these for us and sending them out! Sweet, fizzy champagne with a hint of bitter tobacco. I love love LOVE this at first, but over time the tobacco becomes too prominent, and starts smelling a bit stale. Lovely champagne with just a nose-wrinking off note...sigh.

Thank you SueDonym and Gypsy Rose Red for gathering these for us and sending them out! I LOVE BPAL's fizzy alcoholic notes. In the imp I smell champagne and a hint of chocolate. Mmmm! And then on...well, champagne, and then something that smells like cheap floral perfume! Very lightly though. Much less scary on than I was thinking it would be. But the perfume note is definitely off-putting.

Thanks for letting us try these, Gypsy Rose Red! Well, I could smell this before I even opened the imp...at least partially. Sniffing the imp, it smelled like a really old bar, or barn. Old, weathered wood. And something sweet and fizzy. And then I opened the imp, and the scent was so strong I did a double take! But not what I was expecting...it was like wood, but with something fizzy and sweet and bitter. Really, really strong. And then it dries, and it smells like a renaissance faire...wood, sweet cinnamon-sugar coated almonds, dry herbs. Flower garlands and street musicians playing. What a lovely, evocative scent! When I close my eyes, it's like I'm there.

Thanks for letting us try these, Gypsy Rose Red! This is REALLY nice...hyped up rare scents rarely live up to the hype, but this does. Before I even read the other reviews, I thought it smelled like a slightly aquatic Eastern-influenced incense scent (ooh, probably a Shunga prototype! Good call...). With a nice, smooth vanilla accompanying it! It's pretty in the imp, but it's one of those scents that hits your skin and just becomes a part of you. Definitely a sexy, spicy evening scent. So sad that it wasn't part of the Shunga line-up! Maybe next year?

Powdered orange candy! I was trying to remember what kind of orange candy it reminded me of, when I read the above poster's comment. And yes, orange Pez! But it's not too sweet...it smells a bit more like orange zest than just plain orange pez. It's lovely, sweet, and just a bit tart. Mmmm...

The notes for this sound amazing, but on...it's an incredibly apathetic scent. It's kinda fruity, it's a little sweet like florals, it vaguely smells like tea...but it's so half-hearted about it, like it can't decide what to be, so it shrugs its shoulders and hibernates. It's not offensive and it smells okay. It's definitely a perfume, but it's so neutral...it's like wearing nothing. Very disappointing.

Before reading the description, I thought it smelled like burnt sugar and cheap potpourri...but I think the honey-wood combination is what's smelling like that on me. It's REALLY strong on me, and such an odd scent...I get the Sugar Skull references, but Sugar Skull is sweet and fairly light on me, while this is heavy and has such a smoky texture to the scent. I should love this, but I don't.

It's exactly what you'd expect from the name...aquatic notes with a creamy sweetness. I didn't expect much based on that, but was pleasantly surprised. It's different from other aquatic scents I've smelled, but it's very pretty.

I smell Hyacinth and Jasmine mainly in the imp. On, both recede into the ocean water...aquatic salty sweetness with a hint of the fir...piney with a small, bitter little bite. Surprisingly pretty and bright, but very complex!

Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v2

I almost didn't get this because I love honey, but O is kind of meh on me. But I'm so glad I did, because I got... XLVIII - The Lost Tiki O! It smells like fruit punch, sweet and just a bit tart. I'm not sure what fruit that is predominantly, but I'm guessing it's grapefruit...it reminds me a bit of Screeching Parrot but more full-bodied, and it's just tart enough to be amazing. I want to get more of these, but 1.) I can't afford 'em and 2.) I don't think I could end up with a nicer scent. Seriously...even my husband was in love with this one!
