First sniff: very green, herbal On: Hello baby powder! Sigh. Baby powder with hints of rose and blackberry. It smells very clean, but...baby powder. Not even regular powder. Double sigh.

First sniff: that icy note that's almost woodsy, almost minty in Beth's winter blends On: Bambooooo! And a woodsy bitterness is coming out, nicely balancing the sweetness of the florals. I've been missing all of the Asian blends that were released as Lunacies when I first began my de-scent into BPAL madness, and this is nicely nostalgic for me.

First sniff: Sweet. Creamy. And strange! On: Ooh, THERE'S the tea. With a sweetness, and a creaminess. There's a hint of floral there, but mmmm...overall it's a warm, sweet, comforting tea scent with a happy burst of flowers. What a nice comfort scent! It makes me wish it was in the GC, so I could snuggle up with this when I need to hide from the world and can't. I like this. A lot!

This scent is nothing like I expected! First sniff, it smells like rain and pumpkin. On...at first it smells like pumpkin and ripe seafood...UGH! UGH! But the longer it's on the better it smells...now it smells like spiced pumpkin (the pine?), with rain notes drifting in and out. I think I like it, but I'm not sure. I'll give it a go later.

First sniff: Sugary chocolate covered roses! On: Rose, rose, sugar, chocolate, rose. Did I mention rose? And then there's the rose...gah. I like rose, I do, but rose has taken over the blend on my skin, and it's screaming like a floral banshee. This might have to be a scent locket scent on me.

First sniff: Sexy cologne! Oh yeah, and a hint of grass. But the cologne! On: it tones down a bit...subdued sexy cologne, that hint of grass, and whiff of...is that patchouli? It's so well blended it's hard to tell. Very earthy, with that wild tang to it. I like it!

Yay, Sugar Skull in spray form! It's almost identical to the perfume, but it smells a bit fruitier to me. And there's a candied fruit alcoholic drink vibe to it. I like this a lot...it's not as light at the perfume to me, but I like it's robust sweetness. I'll be spraying this one a lot!

Ohhh, so that's probably why it doesn't seem like "the lab" yet, they just haven't tweaked it to their specifications. Whew! I'm so glad it's them .

There's no way it's the Lab--they're selling "Embalming Fluid" nailpolish as "the Lab" and not Trading Post. And BPAL is so proud of who they are, and there's nothing of that here. This is so creepy. "Cupcuke" sounds disgusting, probably because it rhymes with "puke". Maybe it's a cucumber-flavored cupcake? Beth, PLEASE don't create any cupcuke blends! Perhaps that moron from the other board could earn the right to his apparent condescension if he knew English grammar above a 10 year-old level. Or how to run spell check. I get that he evidently looooves CB perfumes as much as we loooove BPAL, but that doesn't mean he should spout a bunch of BS to make other people feel bad about their preferences. Yes, throw some big words in there, you're sounding smarterer already!

Very interesting thread! I have to say though, I was thinking a completely different direction for Drusilla...she's unhinged, like a million different channels going on and off all the time. She would be something with as many scents and moods. Very Schrodinger's Cat (or 13!) And I think Kennedy was too annoying and shrill to be sexy...and I like Manhattan (although the concept matches up with her background). :ponders: Fire of Love? An obnoxious scent that won't go away, no matter how you think it should? Something with civet? And I love the other ideas...especially Dawn and Faith's! Perversion is right up her alley.

A delightfully icy floral. Perfect for spraying in the car on a sweltering Summer day...you'd swear it lowered the temperature by a few degrees.

Okay, I love CT time...it's like mystery and Christmas and update night all rolled into one! 3 for now, more if I can get the funds together: XV (15): Bed of Basil* In the bottle: It smells strong and herbal...basil maybe? With an undertone of aquatic-ozoneness. On: same green, herbal scent, but there's a cleanness emerging. Is that lavendar? And something faintly metallic, like a touch of Bed of Nails. Very unisex and pleasant. LXXXVII (87): Here We Go A WasSailing* In the bottle: Mulled cranberry fruit punch...it reminds me of the Tikis a bit and of Spiked Punch, but it's a much deeper scent. There might even be a creamy note to it. It's not exactly spiced, but it smells warm, like a soothing, hot holiday beverage. On: A little fruity, a little...salty, like salty ocean spray. And is that a nutty note I'm getting? And an aquatic note? Man, is this a morpher! Who knows what lurks beneath this fruity exterior? Well, not even the Shadow knows, because they don't keep notes on the notes. It's a shame on this one, because it smells like so many things! Oh, and something just turned to slightly sour milk, but with the tangy fruitiness, it works. XCV (95): Freshener to Forest* In the bottle: Okay, frankly this smells like a public restroom. Cheap air freshener and Clorox. Please, PLEASE improve on the drydown! On: Pine...that's definitely pine. My friend in the right blend, but in this one, it just says, "Better be Pine-Sol, baby!" And after 5 minutes, it becomes a more subdued juniper blend...earthy without smelling like bathroom cleaner. Thank GOD! This is very nice like an actual forest, with bark, dirt and foliage. I don't think I've smelled anything quite like this--most of the forest blends have icy snow notes, or fruit. This could really grow on me. *nickname is mine, not the Lab's .

The scent is dark, and feminine and a bit cologne-y without being the slightest bit girly. It's gorgeous, like the scent of a great warrior queen. Boudiccea would have worn this quite proudly. Note-wise, it doesn't smell purple or grapey at all to me. Oakmossy, slightly musky, with the light moonflower peeking out beneath.

In the bottle it just smells randomly foody. On, it turns into this festive, explosively fragrant tea party! Deliciously fruity green tea paired with gingery, spicy tea cakes. With a red musk gently entwining all of this, making it smell so delightfully exotic. This is AMAZING, and it makes me hope Beth has more bizarre dreamscapes littering her astral plane.

This is THE most refreshing scent...in the bottle it's a bit like F5 meets Tempest. On, it smells like perfumed cucumber. Really pretty, and perfect for summer! ETA: 10 minutes later this smells just like the ocean, and salt spray on me. Lovely!

I sprayed a bit of this on my pillow before a nap. It was a good choice! It smelled like spiced fruit...and licorice, oddly enough. It was beautiful, and felt very summery. Mmmm.

Pure candied dark cherry, which of course means it turns to powder on my skin. Oh well...at least the oil itself smells delightful!

I'm kinda kicking myself that I didn't get another plea for this...it reminds me of Numb, and is a cool, soft piney floral. And the benzoin just gives it this little jolt of intensity. It's an incredibly soft, smooth wintery blend, and it's like a refreshing, bracing icy breeze. SO NICE right about now. With the bath oil: The layers together add a depth to the scent...together, it's like you get a three dimensional representation of the season. So many flowers, and the fir and pine together are so lovely. Not overpowering, just refreshing. Mmmm...

This is pretty much straight snowy fir on my skin. There's a creaminess there, the musk I think. I'm not getting any grapefruit, but it's still lovely. Very light and very cooling. With the perfume: like stopping by the woods on a snowy evening. I feel transported to a chilly winter forest. Even though it was hot and humid, it's like a cool breeze running through the room. Amazing.

Very sweet and clean! It smells like sweet flowers to me, and there's a cool whisper to it that I'm guessing is that mint. I can't pick out each individual note, but this is lovely. And so complex! With the perfume: It smells like sugared florals. It's like the florals in each are turned up a bit, but aren't overpowering, just refreshing and lovely. This is a work of art!

I was expecting a strong, aggressive floral, but that's not this blend at all. I tend to amp rose, but the rose here is very light, and very balanced with the other notes. The other florals are equally as light, even jasmine! It's a sweet, gentle fresh scent, with just an earthy hint of oakmoss and the tangy ylang ylang and light citrus notes. This is absolutely gorgeous, and was well worth the wait. With the bath oil: It smells like sugared florals...still clean, but with that extra bit of sweetness that makes a great perfume spectacular.

All I can smell is molasses and cinnamon sugar. Hello maple syrup! Breakfast is calling. Paired with the perfume: add maple syrup to the mix of cider and spices, and WHOA! I cannot pull my hand away from my face long enough to type. It makes it hard to get through a review, let me tell you . This is an amazing concept, and an amazing execution. My favorite season in a soon to be favorite set of oils and sprays. Amazing.

It's not nearly as "leafy" as the atmosphere spray, it's more sweet and soothing, like a hot beverage on a cool, windy day. Paired with the bath oil: add maple syrup to the mix, and WHOA!
