At first this is a very white, glowing all-floral blend. But then it warms up, and the lily is in the forefront. I can also smell faintly woody herbs (orris?). Pretty and clean, and not a bit soapy on my skin. Very nice.

Beth's white chocolate note is wonderful...and with violets (normally a problem note for me), it's really nice! Very true to the concept, and very much a white chocolate slathered Faith. I'm more fond of my White Chocolate Strawberries, but I'm also holding onto this decant.

In the imp this smells like a gorgeous, expensive perfume. And on...okay, I don't know what floral that is, but my skin is amping something, and that particular note is insanely loud. Like a self-conscious party-goer that's too loud and laughing too long, it's kind of obnoxious. It's taking over the blend and just overwhelming my nose. I can catch a hint of the usually offending violet, but that's about all else I can smell beyond whatever note this is. Gah, this is so frustrating! Beautiful in the bottle, but not on my skin.

What a light, sparkling scent! Not too fruity, not too floral...you can almost feel the texture of the peach skin, but it's not too heavy. And the violet is so well-behaved on me, I can't even pick it out among the notes! This is a lovely summery scent, so warm and bright that I'd swear it just upped the temperature a few degrees.

Rose, vanilla, pear, and something astringently chemical that seems to come and go, sort of a sour, funky smell. Okay...has it gone for good? I'll have to wait this out a bit...the early stages are very off-putting, but if the chemical smell has gone I might really like this. ETA: Okay, the chemical smell has gone, and it basically smells like rosy, fruity vanilla and caramel...all nice things...but together? It's just too sweet, too off...and I keep thinking, "But it's like Pothon Meter, vanilla instead of spices! Why don't I love this?" And that's exactly it...it reminds me of something I like better, and I SHOULD like it, but something about the combination is just off on my skin. Sigh. Nice, but not for me.

Rose normally smells lovely on me. But this...maybe it's the rosewood, but I feel like I'm smelling an old lady's sock drawer. Like potpourri that was maybe really pretty when it was fresh, back in the '50s (and which '50s? Exactly). Maybe it's not the rose that's so jarring...it's like the rose is there, but there's also just this sourness, and I'm not sure why. I'm so disappointed...maybe I'll give it a try later and see if I get different results.

At first this smelled like mildew and I had to fight the urge to go scrub my arm with Tilex. But once the jasmine calmed down (Jasmine smells that way on me sometimes, depending on the type of jasmine...sigh), the other flowers smell so sweet and lovely! The rosehips are the strongest, and unfortunately something's powdering out. But it works...it's very pretty.

This is gorgeous! It has a bit of a cologne undercurrent and a touch of patchouli, but it's so balanced I don't smell like a perfume counter, and I don't smell like a hippie. It's just dark, undulating, and really sexy! Nice.

Holy crap, this is like a lavender single note! This is a bullying lavender, the kind that skipped a few grades and is twice as big as the other kids...and with the bergamot, it's just that much more intense, and just try to hang onto your lunch money. I mean WHOA. I love lavender, but this is just SO LAVENDER. It's so LAVENDER this review should be in all caps.

"Oh it won't do...to dream of caramel, to think of cinnamon, and long for you..." At first this is all spicy caramel. And then it morphs into spicy rose. Oh, this is beautiful! Sweet, spicy, and smokin' hot! Very sexy. Suzanne Vega would approve, I'm sure .

Golden. Vanilla amber and orange blossom. I'm not getting much orange blossom...actually, this smells a lot like Snake Oil to me. Nice, but it does exactly what SO does on my skin...turns into vanilla powder. Sigh.

This is beautiful in the imp AND on! It's a light candied strawberry with a just a light whiff of white chocolate. Fairly true to concept but not heavy. I can't stop sniffing myself.

This was the winner sniffing it at WC...it's gorgeous in the imp, too. And on, I thought, "Whoa, lovely." And then it dried, and it smells disgusting...it smells like someone burned the crap out of some chocolates and it's all scorch marks and burned sugar. I'm SO disappointed.

In the bottle at WC and in the imp, it's chocolate and cherry Nyquil. On, it's vaguely cherry scented tootsie rolls (my skin eats cherry). I kind of like it, but as the biggest chocolate covered cherry fan, it's not as true a scent for me as I was hoping it would be.

The only thing I recognize is the balsam, because this smells like a sweet, slightly grassy shampoo to me. It smells like riding horseback in a field on a sunny day, the wind whipping through the grasses and wildflowers. It's lovely and clean, a bit green, and strangely exhilarating.

I fully expected to love this, but it's not quite working on me. The plum dries out and turns into a powdery grape floral that's not bad like violet scents, but...it's not really great either. I'll give it time and test it again, but it's not as fantastic as I was hoping it would be.

At first this smells like the LOVELIEST floral...sweet, pink, and just wonderful. And I was loving it, and I proudly stuck my wrist under my husband's nose, and he said, "Bubble gum?" Yup, it's floral bubble gum. Jailbait's innocent, sweet country cousin. I really like this, both by itself and as a skin scent, but it's not something I would wear all the time.

This scent is very true to the bottle. Very clean, but not too much like dryer sheets in my opinion...it's only barely floral, and most dryer sheets I've smelled tend to be waaaaay too floral (for me, that was Lady of Shallot). On me, it's more like a more feminine, lighter Bed of Nails. Very light, very sexy, and just complex enough to be intriguing.

It smells like wood with some weedy plants growing up nearby...like one of those signs on a nature walk that tell you how far you've gone, or what you're looking at. It smells okay, but is pretty unremarkable.

Serpents with Glittering Eyes and Forky Tongues

Sweet currant, zesty citrus, both tempered with fizzy greeness. A very optimistic, active scent. Defintely a winner! -
At first it smells like the neroli show, and all I can get is a bit of orange with a peppery bitterness ("starring Neroli as..."). Once it dries, I smell like...Tang. Or Pez, or orange smarties...dry, powdered orange with sugar. Like a dehydrated non-floral version of Titania. I like it though! It's a bit like Fantasy Bath's Wake Up Sleepyhead. Edited to remove the double post

This is a gorgeous, citrus, spicy blend on me. It's floral but not cloyingly so because of the other notes. It disappears quickly (thank you, musk!), but is elegant yet expressive while it lasts. Very beautiful and womanly.

This doesn't smell like the laundry aisle on me, just very...passively floral, a little too sweet. Kinda clean, but mostly just...floral. A couch potato floral that can't decide to be anything in particular, so it just sits there. If I stick my nose right on top of it and inhale, I can almost smell something interesting underneath. Almost!
-
I can't decide if I like this or not...the spices are beautiful, warm and simmering. But there's something about the florals that smells kind of sour...like some of BPAL's milk/cream notes. When I get more of the spices, I love it, but the milky flower note just smells...meh. It's a very interesting scent, that's for sure!

My Belladonnas have always been a pale green.
