Chocolate and Cocoa, in every combination possible

I am really a foody kind of girl but I have tried Boomslang and loved it. Is there any other cocoa type blends similar to Boomslang? I used to have a Mayan Dark Chocolate blend and it was too much chocolate for me. Thanks -
A lovely women on fb gave me a small amount to test of Black Silk. It is very tobacco heavy with patchouli, ambergris, sandalwood and barely there vanilla. It went on strong and reminded me A LOT like Hope and Fear Set Free with the resins and notes. and then in 45 minutes it was gone........ the drydown was a light spice vanilla, very faint and silky. I am glad I got to try it, but I am happy that I no longer am crushing over missing getting a bottle of it because of the faint drydown. My skin chemistry simply ate it up. I am sure it is lovely and holy-grail worthy for someone else.

I detect honey, frost, vanilla and something spicy like cinnamon. I am instantly in love with this hairgloss. I'll post more thoughts once I've had it on for awhile.

I have never smelled the original Silkybat HG but now that I have the Frosty Silkybat I must track down a bottle. I really love the sugared patch and vanilla of the Silkybat, the snowflakes remind me of cotton and/or dryer sheets. Which is what I smell most on my hair. It kind reminds me of the cotton spray from Bath and Body Works. I am on the fence with this one, there are times when the snow note has calmed down that I like it but the mixture of all three is an odd mix. However, the hair gloss leaves my hair silky and shiny and I am a big fan of BPTP HGs in general.

Eve's Big Apple Hair Gloss+Sin is a perfect combo

This is fabulous! Apples and honey, juicy and sweet. Perfect for fall days
-
In the wet stage it is a very licorice-heavy blend drying down it is morphing to a spicy floral on me. I am glad that I took a chance on this one. Will report later as it dries down more It reminds me of Lysander.....

I think the Goblins tricked me. My beloved Smut has been replaced with caramel/ brown sugar hair gloss and no sweet red musk to be found. It screams like dessert to me. This would be perfect for someone who loves foody scents. Unfortunately, its not for me. Sorry Goblins........

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Did I mention that I LOVE this? Vanilla takes center with a supporting act by the honey. This is a winner!

I am in agreement with Beckie, pick something that makes you feel confident and calming. BTW I am wishing you the best for your big day.

one word: citrus! However my skin chemistry eats it up, this has very little staying power on me. Someone else will it enjoy it more than me..

I think Reflected Vulva is the perfect vanilla floral, even though vanilla isn't on the note list. I swear its what it dries down too.

I get two comparisons to this blend Alice and the Mouse's Sad Long Tale. For the cream part of this blend, is the cream note in Alice, and the sweet pea note in the Mouse's Sad and Long Tale. I fell in love with cherry blossoms from Blossoms in Springtime. I can't do a lot of floral blends because they go to powder on my skin. However, sweet pea and cherry blossoms are winner floral notes for me. This is sweet and innocent blend. Buy multiple bottles if you love Alice or Mouse's Sad Long Tale. 5/5 hoard-worthy bottle purchase I can't stop smelling my wrist EDIT: On the dry down is the most amazing vanilla note comes out.

Ever had an perfume that feels hot on the skin? Like you're drinking some tea and holding the mug in your hand? That's what happened to me when I tried Furo!! I mainly get the bergamot and black tea from this blend. Its lovely and now I want more blends with a black tea note. It sticks close to the skin and maybe this is one where I have to slather it on before going out on a hot day. However, it does last a few hours on me and I can see myself wearing it during the summer. 3.5/5 bottle-worthy Edited to add: I get licorice when I first apply Furo, even through anise is not listed as a note. Maybe its my nose! My skin chemistry eats up this scent no matter how much I put on. ;(

Rose-ampers discuss. What rose scents can you wear?

There are two successes for rose for me Eldritch Dark and Mrs. Lewis all other roses turn to expensive baby powder on me -
If your top 5 scents are... Then try these!

If you like Morocco, then you may like The Lion, Bastet or Coyote. Coyote is a personal favorite of mine. The amber behaves and doesn't turn to baby powder on me. I think these are all in the similar vein. -

I would say if you like Alice then you might enjoy Youth's Disengagement available on the Century Guild site. It is a creamy marshmellow cherry scent. I haven't tried Kitsune-Tsuki but I believe it is another cherry scent. I would recommend Black Phoenix (cherry and almond)for you. -

For Propertius, maybe Tanuki no Orai, Fae, or Aglaea? I love Coyote, but I really can't think of anything similar to it that I've tried. And just for grins, my top 5 at the moment:SinThe ButterflyAglaeaMiaiphonosThe East I tried Aglaea but may need to retest it. Haven't tried Fae nor Tanuki No Orai (I have tracked down a few of the Tanuki series and love them!) Didn't think I would like Jailbait but I will look into it. Thanks!!! -

If you like Totentanz then you'll probably like Hope and Fear Set Free I have never tried Black Rider but I love Haute Macabre and think most leather lovers will love it! The orchid makes me think Die Sundë, Vom Tod Verfolgt because it feels similar to Our Lady of Pain. http://www.bpal.org/topic/78647-die-sunde-vom-tod-verfolgt/page__p__2226653__hl__pickman__fromsearch__1#entry2226653 Oh I am gonna have to check these out! Thank you! -

1. Hellion V.2 Black plum, champaca flower, dark musk, patchouli, narcissus and scorched sandalwood 2. Our Lady of Pain Sumatran Patchouli, blood musk, white lavender, opium tar, and black orchid 3. A Thought From Propertius Sweet honey, white apricot, and a touch of cayenne pepper 4. The Soul of La Traviata Black plum, black musk, black currant, iridescent pink grapefruit, neroli, and jungle orchid 5. Coyote Amber and a downy, gentle coat of deep musk Based on those, can you think of some I should try? And what is your top five for us to base our recommendations on? EDIT: added notes -
In the bottle it was slightly acrid and boozy, it must be the sake. I get a lemon scent in the beginning and then it dries down sweet vanilla and amber. This is absolutely gorgeous! Sometimes amber can go powdery on me but the matcha and sake balance it out.

There once was a girl who fell down a water well by an old bark tree. further and further she fell into the deep dark well. Soon she awoke that she did see a wonderfulness world around her. Marshmallow Trees and sugar webs with grass so blue! The sky was so green and the colors seem so strange. Suddenly she felt fur wrapped around her feet. She picked up the black cat and named her Cinder. The cat's fur smelled like cinnamon and deep blood cherries. She heard her name being called in the distance. "Lucy" "Lucy come here" All the wonderful smells, spells and being transformed back in time. Lucy awoke back in her bedroom with her cat beside her. Awe what a weird dream! I felt inspired to write a little poem based on Youth's Disengagement. It is awesomesauce! Very creamy marshmellows with black cherries!

I didn't look at the notes when I tried this one. It is so well blended that it was hard to tell anything apart. It just smelled very cologne-y at first. Hours later, I can smell a soft vanilla and a light touch of honey. 4/5 for me!

I just got this out of the mailbox and had to put it on. The blackcurrant and amber are top notes that I smell. Its very purple scent and is in the same vein to Hellion V.2 for me. I want to bathe in this scent.
