Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info
Mrs.Black replied to kebechet's topic in BPAL FAQs
Yes, just e-mail customer service -- they have always fixed every problem I've ever had, I'm sure they'll do the same for you. -
BPAL to represent each month, each season? Holidays, like Christmas?
Mrs.Black replied to taz19's topic in Recommendations
Snow Bunny is piney, berry-spicy and delicious, very similar to Skadi but I think I like SB even more. -
okay, you're buying it for her, but she lives where?
Mrs.Black replied to Athena's Owl's topic in BPAL FAQs
I would do it as two separate orders as well. In fact, if you think about it, the only way that this is problematic is if you try to process it as one single order. -
This is the gist of what I do as well. I can see that my approach is too simple.
-
I would count the Pumpkin Patch Set as five separate items.

In the past I have sometimes received combined orders from the Lab, but within the last nine months or so, my orders have all come packaged separately, even when they were shipped the same day and placed only weeks or days apart.
-
International orders take longer to ship because someone from the Lab has to go and pretty much spend the day in the post office to mail them all out. I am in Australia and still waiting for June 10 and June 22 orders. I e-mailed the Lab and got a reply saying that the June 10 order will ship some time this week. My orders are always huge so maybe this contributes to the delay as well.

My BPAL cinammon tryad is Chimera, Love Me and Hamadryad. So gorgeous, so different... Chimera is still, after close to 300 oils sampled, my number one BPAL.

Love Me is very overtly sexy and sexual. -
I'm wondering if there will be a Valentine's Day LE this year. If there is, it should be coming live right about NOW.

BPAL oils that repel bugs, flies, mosquitoes, bees, insects?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks to everyone for the answers and special thanks to spaceprostitute for this wealth of information. -
Why do all BPAL scents smell the same to me??
Mrs.Black replied to kadmia's topic in Recommendations
Because you haven't tried enough of them. -
I don't usually post reviews but with Sugar Skull I had to make an exception. I ordered FOUR bottles (best decision I've ever made, BPAL wise) and I'm still hoarding it. This stuff is so good that I don't wear it in the course of normal life, that would be a waste. The only way that I will wear Sugar Skull is if I have a good stretch of time at my disposal to keep my nose stuck to my wrist and meditate on the scent, like when going to sleep. People have described it very well already: it's hot brown sugar, not quite caramelised yet but getting there. There is a good pinch of cinammon, I think, and I totally get the candied fruits in all their glazed glory. Sugar Skull is currently engaged in a mortal duel with Chimera for my Number One BPAL. It's difficult to say who will win -- I think I like the scent of Chimera just a tiny bit more, but Sugar Skull is much stronger and more persistant...

Who is answering the e-mails to this address now that Nella is no longer doing it? (Good luck to that person as Nella's are big shoes to fill!) -

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?
Mrs.Black replied to Nadirah's topic in Recommendations
I love this thread as Rose Red and London are by far my two favourite BPAL rose scents. People are advising you wisely; there is no dilemma here: just get Rose Red while it's still available. And then get London as soon as you can. -
Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?
Mrs.Black replied to Nadirah's topic in Recommendations
I've tried most BPAL rose scents. My favourite is Rose Red, with London a close second. -
In my case, one week... but I don't think this is typical.

BPAL for headaches, pain, colds, seizures, sickness, illnesses...
Mrs.Black replied to Tesseljoan's topic in Recommendations
Hello, lorajc. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. As fantastic as BPAL oils are, I don't think you are going to find one to amelliorate physical pain. If I were you I would just wear the ones that have a calming effect on my emotions. On the other hand, some people say that what we experience as physical pain actually has a strong psychic component. So maybe the scents that feel calming/uplifting/nurturing to you will help after all. Or you can follow the Zen proverb: "When cold, be cold; when hot, be hot" and try Pain! -
Ditto with Cherry and The Red Quuen. (Cherry entered as search note, The Red Queen didn't pop up).

Forest & Woods Scents (with and without evergreens)

My top three woodsy scents from the ones I have tried: - Seance - Wolfsbane - Ulalume -
I would love to have a once a week update on international orders. I live in Australia, and packages from the Lab take only six days to get here once they are shipped! I'm always sending frantic e-mails to Nella to determine when my packages are shipped, because sometimes the mailman just dumps them at my door. I don't want the preciousss to spend one second more than necessary out there! The six days from shipping date have been very consistent, so if I know when the oils were sent out, I'll know when to stalk the mailman...

Hi, Witch's Dagger, glad you liked "pal", it also captures the friendly nature of the community. I love your linguistic posts, I'm a linguist myself.
-
Why can't we just assimilate the two bilabial oclusives and pronounce BPAL as "pal"? (This is what my mind does, anyway).

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?
Mrs.Black replied to Absinthe's topic in Recommendations
Hi, no, what I was trying to say (obviously not very clearly) is that there are no reviews of the Rose single note... I was wondering if anyone has tried it, and whether it is similar to Rose Red.
