Peppery wood. Not for me at all. It's either the cypress of the yew that destroys this for me, I think. Boohoo.

*Sigh* This honey is just too sweet for me, unfortunately. It borders on sickly sweet on me, which is unfortunate. Off to the swap pile for O.

Oh wow, I LOVE this! I think it would be awesome on the BF! It was almost exclusively pine to start, but now that has faded into the background and allowed the vanilla and amber to come out to play. This is divine!!!

I like this but not enough to wear or keep. I don't know how a scent can be both sweet and bitter at the same time, but there you go. FWIW, my only prior experience with kumquat is from Herbal Essences shampoo, and this is indeed similar. Nice in the hair, not so much on my skin.

Ok, when I first put this on, all I could smell was WOOD. Thankfully, it mellowed into a sweet, spicy scent. The vanilla comes out stronger the longer I wear it. Definitely bottle-worthy. I can understand why this is so popular!!!

Cake with frosting. OMFG. This is the first foody blend I think I'd actually wear on a regular basis. I'm so happy it's gotten cooler! Once the imp is gone I'll definitely be buying a bottle.

Iris, black amber, sage, Kashmir wood, vanilla musk, mandarin and violet. At first all I could smell was mandarin and violets. Now the wood note is coming on strong and it's leaving me a little headache-y. Too bad.

I hate doing reviews when I can add very little to what has already been said. So truth be told, I always hate doing reviews. This is a beautiful soft floral that is fading fast, unfortunately. White flowers, night air... picture a cool evening in Hawaii, if that makes any sense... Will I buy a bottle? Perhaps after all the must-haves are taken care of...

Jacob's Ladder This is probably my all-time favourite scent as of right this minute. Just got my hands on a bottle; love at first sniff. I begged for a bottle based on the reviews here and I have not been disappointed! This morning I put an oil-soaked pad in my scent locket and dabbed a little on my wrists. I have to say that amber really works well with my skin chemistry, because as nice as it is in my locket, it's even more gorgeous on my wrists! Not so much throw, but still going strong 4 hours after applied. A warm, sweet, very sexy scent that I can't wait to make into a spray. Every so often I get a whiff from my locket and I'm always thrilled to realize it's me making that nice smell! Anyone looking to get rid of this, PM me. All your Jacob's Ladder are belong to me.

The Hamptons I've never had a cosmo before but now I'm gonna! YUM! Fades quickly but I love the tartness of the cranberry while it lasts.
-
The Raven Musky and perfume-y. Smells like an old lady perfume, but not entirely unpleasant. It sweetens up over time. It's a floral that's unpretentious. Something I could wear to the in-laws'.

Straight out of the bottle, this reminds me of La Fée Verte. It's Fruit-Loopy... not something I'd consider masculine, or that I'd particularly like to smell like myself. Maybe it's just skin chemistry that is turning this disgustingly sweet. Maybe it'll be nice on the BF...?

Danube This smells "blue" to me if that makes sense. I don't know if it's just psychological due to the name, or what. I think I get what people mean when they get "watermelon" from it. I can't put my finger on the floral, but it is definitely more sophisticated than a department store floral perfume. It's a very nice cool, summer scent and I can't wait to make a spray out of it.

Rosalind I was expecting to love this, with the "green grass" description. I guess I'm too used to Gap Grass to detect it here though. I don't get berries either. Just sort of a clean, fresh floral. It goes a bit soapy on me however. All well, can't win 'em all...

Dana O'Shee Sweet almond/cherry. This is a sweeter Snowcake to me. Love.
-
Lightning Very clean in the bottle. To be expected. Clean on also. I get more sharp than "laundry" but it's nice nonetheless. For special moods.
-
Peony Moon Sweet and rose-like in the bottle. The bottle art is gorgeous. On, this takes a sweeter, almost fruity turn. This is turning really lovely. I'm surprised to like this as much as I do.

I didn't think too much of this in the imp. Very light. On my skin it almost immediately explodes into blackberries! Yum. It morphs into a very pretty berry scent, with a touch of something herbal. (I'm still crap at picking out notes.) I like this a lot better than Glasgow, I must say. Although Bewitched, too, fades away very quickly.

Beautiful peach straight off! Oh, this is so soft and lovely, and sparkly, if you can use that word to describe a scent...? A perfect summer blend that is going on my Big Bottle list.
-
A light, pure scent: white musk, green tea, aloe and lemon. This gave me a strong scent memory of picking raspberries and blackberries at our cottage in Muskoka when I was little. I don't know what the note is that's doing that... I freaking love this. Still going strong a few hours later, and I kept catching soft whiffs while driving. Gorgeous! I'm getting a big bottle!

This was very herbal on me with a sharp tinge of lemon. It faded away to nothingness within an hour so I couldn't evaluate it more throughly.

First sniff: Very cherry, like cherry coke or the cherry New York Seltzer or whatever that stuff was... Wet, on skin: Cherry pencil shavings? Drying: Ok, it's ALL wood now. The cherry has vanished. Oddly, it's not unpleasant... Overall impressions: Unfortunately I had to jump in the shower so I couldn't test it for as long as I would under ideal circumstances, but it's not horrible. I might wear this again if the mood strikes, but I don't think I'll be after a bottle.

Out of the bottle: This is cherry coke to me right now?? Wet, on skin: Ok, cherry, but florals are coming out to play. Drying: It's going a bit soapy in the way that florals often do... Overall impression: Don't love it, don't hate it. I'll keep it for comparison purposes.

This one I wanted to like. I ordered it blind from the lab, assuming I would like it from the notes listed. Stupid body chemistry! I don't know which one is the culprit, but one of the notes sucks on me, big time. I'll have to refrain from bottle-buying until I figure out which it is, so I'll be testing my imps based on the notes in Akuma. Boohoo, everyone loves Akuma but me. Into the swap pile.

I got this in a swap and for some reason neglected it until this morning. Why did I wait so long?? I love mint, and this is one of the best. Beth's Yule scents seem made for me. It fades pretty quickly, unfortunately. I'll have to whip up some sort of scented lotion so I can layer it, and then keep it in the scent locket also. Mah-vellous.
