On me, Ivanushka and Hunter Moon 2007 where indentical - sweet kitty-fur. Ivanushka had - what I call - "bambi-musk"... and Hunter Moon 2007 had this "baby-animal-in-general" Musk..its a pretty tame version comparing to Hunter Moon 2004. Hunter Moon 2004 is more wine and wood and dark musk, but I don´t get any fur out of it. Its my all time favorite BPAL EVER, so I really tested it to the extreme..

I would recommend Fearful Pleasure, too .. not smoke, at least on me. Also L´autunno is a beautifull apple-spice scent ... on me it turns a little coca cola, but only in the wet stage. I guess its pretty hard to come by - but worth a hunt!

I bought a pretty "old" ( = aged ) cobald bottle of this one.. And its sooo strange. I put it on - and suddenly I was 14 years old again. I remembered my favorite shampoo I used when I was 14, which was a very hard and difficult time for me.. the shampoo smelled exactly like Chuparosa does on me. I hardly smell any rose nor cinnamon - I smell viola, pure and just blooming viola... It actually gave me goosebumples, because the memory it brought back was so strong. Its a bit spicey, alltho I can´t pick out any spices in particular, and this lovely viola ( pansy ? ) note. I quite like it, but I don´t think I should trigger myself with this scent too often...

Strange enough - all I smell is Cola and apple-juice... Its pretty heavy on the apple and I quite like it. Normally I can´t do apples AT ALL, but the "coke" calms it down... No patchouli, no spices really.. but nice anyway. I don´t think I will reach for this one often, but I´m happy I have it in my collection.

I happened to be able to buy an original ( not ressurected ) bottle of Three Witches. I love the smell of cinnamon and this beautiful blend does it so much justice. I just dabbed one tiny drop on my wrist and it smelled sooo good - like a gingerbread right from the oven. The smell of fresh-baked goods and a wee little bit of root-beer. Its spicey and foody and lovely - and all together its pretty plain in the same time. You can detect all the single notes ( not many, are there ? ) but they melt together perfectly. I love this one, and I will never ever part with it. It also came in the lovely cobalt bottle, so its a perfect addition to my collection...

Schrödingers Cat is a very bright and actually "sweet" scent, without smelling sweet... My ultimate smile and happy scent is ( and always will be ) Hunter Moon 2004. Its almost imposible to come by, but when I put it on I always feel free and wild and want to show my fangs... Ready for a hunt, I´d say... Also Mi-Go Brain Canister is a wonderful fruit-musk happy combination, buts its also an rare LE from 2004 ( or 05 ?? ) My personal comforter is Antique Lace, its very calm, vanilla-ish and soft.. it gives me excellent sleep.. *sigh* Me loves me some happy BPAL..

Strange enough - I get A LOT of Ice Queen from this. I get this beautiful "Ice + Snow" note that I get from IQ mostly, just a hint of frozen fruit and very faint flowers.. Its beautiful. All the notes blend together beautifully and replace my beloved Ice Queen like no other I smelled before. A definite keeper and Back up worthy for me..

This one is such a gift. I am going thru a real bad time atm, so I thought I´d give this one a try. On it smells like lavender, slightly citrus (- peel ) and something warm + golden.. amber ? I put it on after beeing very angry and down at the same time - I thought, I could NEVER EVER got to sleep in that state I´m in... but... I did. I fell asleep and slept like a baby - when I woke up this morning, the whole room smelled of Lionheart .. which is very strange because i just used 2 drops of it on my wrist. I did not have any bad dreams ( which I usually have after an attack like the one I had yesterday ) and I woke up with a lot of plans on my mind... Wow, this one really DOES something on and to me - I´m glad I got a bottle.

On my way to a fabby Halloween Party and all dressed up as Wednesday Adams I am wearing Crypt Queen. I rarely ever wear her, but tonight she seems just perfect..

Wow... the first "Milk" note EVER I can wear without smelling like rotten yoghurt. The Gladdener is so lovely - creamy soft lavender with a sweetest hint of honey and carnation. Glad I got 2 bottles - will try to hunt down more! I went shopping with my best friend yesterday, and she catched a whiff of Gladdener... she said " You smell like a fairy-tale"... so if that isn´t a compliment, I dunno... As much as I like "Lilith Victoria" ( the combination just ROCKS hell! ) I adore and love The Gladdener of all hearts. I will wear this, when I feel girly and cute , as I wear LV when I feel like Emily the Strange... Love it ! 10 of 10

My package with GD08 arrived today... as I own a bottle of GD04 I had to compare them side-to-side. Maybe its the aging, but GD04 is deeper, darker and "dirty-er" dirt then GD08. GD08 smells spot on - of course - like earth,soil and loam. But like ..uhmm... dirt, that has been dried a little in the sun after kids building mud-cakes, a little mushroom-y even and not evil and grave-y. GD04 is GRAVE, its wet and old and hasn´t seen any sunlight for a looooong time (literally - I keep it in my ULTRA*RARE*super*save monster box! ) but also the smell.. its deeper, richer and it´s more creepy. Maybe aging brings 08 closer to 04. Nontheless I LOVE em on skin - both. Its earth and a bit of grass/leaves/dried flowers at first, and then turns into pure sweetness of laying in a maddow and your head resting on the floor - near the earth,grass around you and with a nose full of dirt... This one is a masterpiece - I love it.

I received my Wensleydale today - and I love it! It is pretty similar to Dirty, but it has a little more musk-y underline to me. Its fresh, clean,a bit soapy and like a breath of fresh air to me. Yes, Mr Wensleydale is a Winner.

I received my bottle of the Mme today... and I am hooked... This is made of awesome.. everything blends together so well and the patchouli adds a amazing edge to it .. wow. First on it smelled like a swimmingpool - chlorine and "used" water ( uhmm.. well.. ) - and on it first smelled like you just got out of that swimming pool and lay yourself drying in the sun. Then the notes show up... wow again .. and it dries down to gorgeous vanilla - subtle patchouli - plum with a lil spicy red wine . Gawd - I loves me my Mme ... Ratings : 4.5 of 5 ( 5 only ever given to Hunter Moon 2004 - so that means a LOT ! )

Hmm.. unsure about this one. As I love & adore Hunter Moon 2004 for its red musk-wine-untamed goodness, I am not quite sure what I expected HM 07 to be. I put it on and it went SPOT ON Ivanushka on me... Soft, powdery, fury,light and tame - but nowhere near my Hunter Moon 04. I don´t really *hate* it - but its not far from that.. too bad. I think I keep this for the love of HM04, but I don´t really think aging will help me with this one. It´s just too tame and not outstanding enough, but oh well.. *sigh*

I bought this one unsniffed 5ml.. why ? Dunno.. but glad I did. This smells like my Grandpa ( which is VERY VERY GOOD !! ) A bit sweet, like you´ve just went for a walk in a dark, green forrest and you just catched up some big fat drops of summer rain.. In the bottle I did not like it that much. Its pretty herbal and a bit sharp even. On skin it mellows immediatly and becomes... Grandpa.. *smile* He used to wear "tabac" perfume all the time and somehow Robin reminds me of that. I missed that smells eversince he died 1997. I don´t know whether I will wear this a lot, but its a keeper for the memory. The bottle I bought has allready aged 2 years or something, lets wait and see if it changes some more. Good job, Beth - I have goosebumps all over..

I do have a perfume oil called " Tarte au citron" from good old GreenLadySoap... long since discontinued - but spot on lemon meringue. Cake-y, lemon-y, cream-y... Tweedledee & just a tiny drop of Antique Lace = love it ! Embalming fluid is also a great suggestion, layered with a hint of vanilla .. should fit your needs..

Uhhh.... A wonderful forumite gave me her FULL 10 ml bottle of Bon Vivant... Thank you so much TmT.. Bon Vivant is gorgeous. It´s dry champagne and sweet strawberries on skin - the description is SPOT ON and - at least on me - this stays so true to the bottle and doesn´t change much. I wear it to bed and it is so beautiful to fall asleep with this fizzy scent in my nose... Yay, love it !

I bought this one on ebay and I NEVER EVER would´ve expected what I´ll get... A ( nearly ) perfect and GC Hunter Moon 2004 replacement... I´ve been looking for HM like crazy and opening this bottle nearly made me cry. It´s beautiful - tart and ripe cranberrys, a lil boozy and heavy-sweet. Dark musk and some herbal smoke.. it´s gorgeous and perfect on my skin. I can see myself wearing this in autumn - wrapped in a warm jacket, kicking dry leaves... I am happy. This really made my day... Love it. Will try to track MORE - A WHOLE LOT MORE - down for me ....

Oh ... boy... I ... I bought this one from a lovely forumite .. thanks a lot! and I must say... I love it! In vial : COLD! I smell peppermint candy canes .. first I had the overall "Lick it again"-impression... definetly chilly. on : first it is all mint - no eucalyptus at all. It makes my nose feel realy cold when it goes up.. just a few minutes later... oh holy moly - this is pure Violet goodness... It smells just like Lush´s Gratuitous violets on me. I was always so sorry that the soap scent did never last long on me - but this violet does.. normally I don´t care for florals much - but I adore this one. Happy I got 5ml !!

Graveyard Dirt - an nothing else... very very rare, but DIRT has never been better...

I think, "typhon" is the darkest BPAL EVER. I can´t wear it - it gives me goose bumps, even tho I LOVE patchouli normaly. But this one... *phheww*

Hi there, uhmm.. received this as a partial gift bottle... *thx justme* Vial : beautiful, sweet, flowery, berry... On skin : first : floral berrys , something sharp warm : Play-Doh and a strange Artificial-plastic berry scent.. somehow the way, my "Cherry Merry Muffin" Doll used to smell in the 80s when just unpacked... Will keep the bottle, because this is nice - but I don´t think I will wear this.. Strange how funny florals react on my skin... Not nice - darn chemistry !

Oh boy, this one is complicated... I received my bottle 2 days ago and I decided to let it sit to settel down. First sniff : Oh yeah, Pickles.. some like "Branston Pickles", that dark sweet-sour stuff I used to have in England. But then... dry : it made me cry... I mean, REALLY cry. This smells like - oh well - baby deer... if Bambi would have had a scent, it would be Ivanushka. It is really sweet, powdery - but not in a baby powder way on me , its vanilla-cream ( odd! ) and this soft, velvety warm and red-brown fur.. with white spots blinking between. On me, it stays close to the skin, like a fur-jacket ( I never had anything like a fur jacket.. ) and it makes me want to purr.... I tried it on my boyfriend - it has an AMAZING throw on him. I just applied a tiny lil bit - and suddenly Ivanushka was ALL AROUND. It had a soft, un-sweet vanilla scent on him, with some highlights and shadows in it... absolutely amazing... This one is such a winner... I´m in love !!
