    Endymion

A light floral, clean and clear. I never managed to get much pear out of this one, but the floral was a definite overlay of rose with a touch of lilly. A clean, almost creamy scent, refreshing and light. It didn't last overly long on me, however, and while lovely I wasn't dieing over it so off to swaps.
  2. O, Old Morocco (which actually works similar on me to Scherezade while scherezade tends to fade quickly on me), and Dana O' Shee get the most reactions for me. Someone once spent an entire game randomly sniffing my wrist because of Dana O' Shee. My boyfriend LOVES Blood rose, but that's because it has wine and dragon's blood - a seriously major winning combination for him.

    Tushnamatay

Warm, soft, soothing. Herbal and sandalwood in the bottle, but I'm having a very hard time placing notes in this blend. A clean, warm scent, like worn linen sheets freshly washed, or lounging in a cool dark room on a hot day. It's exotic without being spicey or overly floral, but has an almost herbal honey tone to it that's beautiful. A very calming and relaxing scent. Sadly this didn't last on me at all so I will swap it on to someone it DOES last on.

    Absinthe

holy smokes it's Absinthe!. No I mean the actual smell popping open a bottle (I've had it sans wormwood but I am told from those that have had the real illegal thing, that it's pretty darned close and a highly highly similar smell) I kept checking the imp to see if it was green, but nope. In the bottle, tons of licorice/anise. On me this scent blended with a little citrus and herb and was, well, like applying wet absinthe behind the ears and on the wrists. Lovely, fresh, licorice like smell with a hint of bitterness. It's a dead on ringer and lovely, but I'm not sure if I'd wear it as a scent. I've set this aside to send to the boyfriend as he is a fan of the non-wormwood-ed drink.

    Danube

In the bottle: holy cow, deep blue swirling freezing water. Yippee! On me: Oh Danube where hath thou gone? While the overtown of that lovely aquatic scent remains, the rest has faded into sweet and sticky...pink grapefruit. Citrus does wierd things with my chemistry, usually in the vein of over-riding everything else I'm wearing. Sad sad sad. i want the smell from the bottle on me :sob:

    Delight

In the bottle: Jasmine and something sweet. Sadly this had the staying power of a gnat on me and the jasmine smell, while pretty and intense for the wet stage, went poof-be-gone on the drydown. I'm left with something vaguely soft and sweet and not much else. Ah well.

    Spellbound

In the bottle, this was rather mellow, a soft rose floral. Woe to me for underestimating. A dab on each wrist soon sweetened into something musky, floral and almost overpowering. The rose and musk blended into something that SHOULD have been wonderful on me, but instead adopted a faint powdery scent that was over-powering and cloying. After about an hour of being choked on what my chemistry had turned into a "generic overpoweing old lady perfume" I gave up and washed it off. Oh well it _sounded_ like a good idea at the time

    Goneril

In the bottle, a bitter floral scent. In wearing this, the cedar note and black orchid are the strongest scents for me. There is a light floral overnote to this but it's not too sweet or bright as the cedar both mellows and darkens the blend. A very fitting scent for goneril as on first sniff it's quite pleasant but then seems to leave you a little uneasy. This one hasn't stayed very well on me and as it's lovely but not so lovely that I'm gushing i'll pass it on.

    Tiger Lily

Warm honey and sweet lillies, a very warm and creamy golden blend. Sadly this doesn't work very well on me as it lasted all of about four minutes on my skin. A pity as this was truely a gorgeous, warm golden floral scent, gentle, sunny and bright. If it had lasted, a definite keeper. It's off to the swaps for this one.

    Gluttony

Holy sugar rush batman! In the bottle, caramel, toffee, sugar sugar and more sugar. This smells like the interior of my kitchen after a full day of baking. On me. Holy god what's in this thing?? I've never had a scentliterally be so sweet that it just crawls off my skin and wraps around. It's a cotton candy sweetness in a buttery, caramel form. It reminds me of the batch of caramel corn balls I once tried to make - lots of caramel, very little corn. This is a great scent, possibly beter for a room, but it's not me. I don't mind food scents so much but smelling like a candy shop (and a very yummy sinful one at that) is not in my list of things to do. Into the swaps

    Roman Chamomile

I've never really had a chance to smell chamomile before, and while this was a soft, soothing sweetness to it, there was a faint herbal undertone that was decidedly not me, as if there was something going to seed under that light lovely smell. My chemistry apparantly did odd things to this one. Regardless, this one is not on a list of keepers for me as my body and nose have rebelled.

    The Red Queen

In the bottle, cough syruppy sticky cherries. This unfortunate robitussin scent hung around on my wrists for a few minutes before it dries down into... wow oh wow. Rich mahogany undertones and the currant adds just a touch of something else to this blend. Formiddable, strong, and regal, no two ways about it. Sadly this didn't want to stick around on me and while I was thinking of swapping it, the initial impression is enough to make me keep it around for a second try. Edit: I ended up trying this again because I really wanted to love it. A lot more mahogany this time, making this a very rich, almost earthy scent. The currant was still sticky and sweet though and none of it lasted very long so I think I'll just concede that the Queen and I don't get along and send her off to someone else.

    Vixen

In the bottle, orange blossoms and patchouli, a nice spiced and kicked-up scent. On me: this mellowed into a quasi-vanilla scent reminscent of snake oil on me, but a bit lighter and more ginger spiced. I can still smell the orange blossoms and patchouli but not the ginger on me. I like it, but I don't like it enough to replace my precious bottle of snake oil which is my "love me worship me" scent. Fortunately, I have a certain friend with the nickname of vixen who I think will adore this so I'm mailing it to her.

    Iago

This one sounded lovely and smelled wonderful in the bottle, menacing and earthy and leather. I can see how this fits Iago very well. The leather, hard black shiney leather, was present at first and then mellowed into an undertone of menacing and bitter herbal. It faded out soon after that into a babypowder scent. Off to swaps for this one

    Apricot

Sweet and sticky and fuzzy Apricot, definitly more toward the dried apricot scent or an almost-over-ripe apricot. Strong and sweet and fruity and juicy. What a great scent and a dead-ringer for the real thing!

    Serpent's Kiss

Cinnamon spiced and dangerous in the bottle. This didn't knock my nose off like Inferno so I felt better about trying it and lo no red welts (yaaay!) A strong cinnamon and spiced scent on first application. The dragon's blood gives this some backbone, but overall it's the sweet decay of vertiver under the cinnamon that really balances this out and makes it less a cooking smell and more poisonous. Very well balanced and lovely and I think my cinnamon scent that I was so desperately seeking. Another few tests will solidify that.

    Cathode

Minty minty minty. In the bottle a definite aquatic minty smell, fresh and sharp. The mint lasted a while on this one and the underlayer of ambergris and moss added a vague earthy, almost floral sweetness to this. All in all beautiful, cooling, and delicate and a definite keeper for hot days.

    Melpomene

Sharp and bitingly herbal in the vial, on my skin the dry down in this went through some impressive differences. Starting off it remained very herbal and bitter, fading finally into something a little softer. I can get a hint of some floral blossom, probably the orange blossom. That bitter note never quite fades away, however and I'm not certain I like the subtlety of this scent enough to wear it regularly. Pretty but it goes to someone else to sample. Apparantly the muses like beating my brain too much for me to wear their inspired scents.

    Calliope

In the vial there's a blend of herbal scents, some mint and thyme and a little lavender. On me? Ah Verbana. All those other delicious scents go bye-bye in an overwhelming wave of lemon pledge. Such a sadness for me as I wanted very very much to adore this one and it never did anything than smell like furniture polish with my chemistry. I always hope one of the verbena blends will not do this but thus far no luck. Sad sad sad

    Madrid

Grape Dymatap cough syrup. Well at least in the vial. This dries out very sweet and sticky on me, almost cloying. The clove peeks through under all of it as it mellows though, cutting some of that sweetness with something a little fresher. Definitly lots of mimosa in here. I'm not getting a great deal of wine, just lots of sweetness and the vague spice of clove. I like this but I'd like more clove and less medicine smell to start so off to swaps.

    Empyreal Mist

Faint and wispy and light, but like some of the lighter scents it's gone in nearly five minutes on me into that vague soapy scent. I have a tendancy toward soaking up scents; very little lasts on me longer than half a day and most of the strongest ones don't remain as strong on me as they do on others. Sadly the fresh clean scent that was empyreal mist just evaporated. Into swaps.

    Tzadikim Nistarim

What a lovely exotic scent. It took all afternoon before I figured out the fruity smell reminded me of pineapple, but ripe and sweet and just picked pinapple. A assume that's the spikenard as I've no idea what else it could be. This is light and fresh and a little fruity but is grounded by some earthiness. There's a lot of different nuance and balance in this scent, golden and glowing. Yummy and a keeper!

    Alice

At first this was almondy and honey sweet, reminiscent of my beloved Dana O' Shee and while pretty I thought it may have to go on the similarity basis. The lovely dry down on this makes it a keeper though. The carnation and roses peek through, mostly rose but I can get a hint of the spiced carnation smell, and make this a second-skin sweet and very light floral for me. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. This is an innocent, happy, bright scent perfect for everyday wear. As many will tell you I'm one of those bouncey happy people

    Queen

In the bottle, a very upright, regal and earthy scent. Power much? Oh hell yah. This one wants to crawl out of the bottle and do some commanding. On me it was almost too sagey for a long time and then I thought it had faded out. However, I can still smell it hours and hours later when I move. The sage scent is still there, but sharp and biting with a strong peppery smell under; black pepper not red. There is a slight sweetness under that, but it's not a soft, gentle sweetness. Beautifully complex I can't decide what to do with this one. End result: wear around Jake and see what he thinks. I'll at least be keeping the imp.

    Lampades

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. I put this on before bed last night on a whim and spent half the night wondering what that unearthly gorgeous smell was. Cranberry, sharp and tart and fruity and a stunning counterpoint to an underlying spiced muskiness. This is reminiscent of Titania, but the tartness and jusicness are so different that there's no possible way I could pick. I get very little floral, mainly on the last stages of drydown where some of the lighter flowery scent peeks in juuust a bit. Keeper. Definitly a keeper.
