What Tygher said. Very galinda, bright, up-beat, and herbal at first in the bottle. This goes sweet and minty on me, pretty and feminine and light. Not much lasting power on me as the mint fades into a sweet pea-ish and lavender mix. Lovely but going to send it to someone who adores it.

Herbal but a dry one with a touch of floral, like sweet dry straw in the bottle. On me the myrrh is most prominent but the flowers and cypress add some sweetness under an otherwise very mellow blend. This is a very gentle, soothing scent, soft and comforting if a bit incensy. Oddly it does remind me of the cool cleanness of a funeral home, last tired moments of grief and peace.

Citrusy and ozone fresh in the vial with a touch of something floral like an after thought of a shower. Sadly putting this on did what citrus so loves to do on me - LEMON! Ah yes the fresh smell of a summer storm and pledge. Sigh. Off to swaps with this potentially lovely blend

Undeniably overwhelming in the bottle, musky and harsh and actually a bit scary. I wish I could say this morphed on me as it did on others, but it stayed very bitter and acrid, almost a rotting smell on me. Cruel, definitly, but also definitly not something I could stomach wearing for any length of time. Vertiver doesn't like me much I guess. Off to swaps.

Kind of sharp and acrid in the bottle, this is definitly leather on the skin. It's not old worn leather, it's sharp and hard like a pair of sturdy lace up, spike heeled boots. Unfortunately this isn't something that's really me and I prefer soft, buttery leather smells to this sort so I'm not really throwing it at Jake either. off to swaps with this one, as intriguing and dead on as it is.

Earthy and soft in the bottle, this was very clove and incensey sweet for a few minutes. After about five minutes it turned spicey, earthy, gorgeous. Bay rum indeed! Wonderful gorgeous spicey scent on this one, and strangely not _too_ masculine. I could still wear this if I were feeling exotic. It does bespeak a certain fire filled mystery, lots of brimstone and danger, but all done with good charm and a smile.

Sweet and floral in the bottle. On me this is, as others have noted, a lot of lilac and lily. There's not much else to this sadly, and while the floral aspect is great I expected a little more dragon's blood out of this. I should know by now that most dragon's blood just goes *poof* on me when it's mixed with other things (the exception being blood rose). Ah well, pretty but off to swaps.

homygod.... I tried this last night before going to bed on me. I was thinking "lavender, feh, it can't possibly be that mascu.." I did not get overly far into that statement as a quick sniff of my wrist erased that thought. A gentleman in velvet coat and a top hat, cane in hand. Classy, suave, a little dangerous and utterly sophisticated. If this smells half as wonderful on Jake I will quite happily beat the women off him so he can wear it.

Soft powdery floral, I didn't detect the cinnamon or spice others did on this one. Instead a momentary earthiness grounds this before it faded into gentle powdery softness. This is a light, feminine "good girl" scent to me, Lear's obediant daughter. pretty, but a bit too fluffy for my floral tastes. I was never a big cordelia fan and since this oil lasts on me about as long as my affection for her, off to swaps.

biting and bitter at first, the frankinsence is predominant and it isn't pretty for a while. It took a good ten to fifteen minutes for this to soften, leaving an earthy touch of oakmoss and something sweeter. Very suiting for an allegory for death, from loss to repose. The herbal hints in this are very medieval in tone and it's a complex scent. Sadly this doesn't last long on me so off to swaps.

I didn't get much rose in this, though it is apparant in the bottle. Predominantly, the patchouli was the top scent in this, strong and biting. I don't really like patchouli much so that was a bit of a dissapointment. The sandalwood came in later, but the rose never really detectably showed up to me. Nice, a bit strong for my tastes, so off to the swaps.

Chilled marble and cold dusty flowers. I was amazed at how light this scent was as usually lilly can be very strong on me. There's a faint wisp of rose on this and the lilly never really makes a huge appearance. This is a soft subtle floral that's more wistful and vague than a stronger floral might be. Very pretty, but faded quickly.

Very musky and lots of amber in this one, a rich resin and musk scent that is decidedly masculine. This was a bit too strong and masculine for me, but it was beautiful and I'd love to smell it on the beloved. Lots of rich, dark musk, strong and proud.

A spiced citrusy smell and something faintly woodsy and smokey in the vial. On me, this loses any floral notes and any sense of citrus and leave a faint, smokey incense smell. Lovely and light and a bit almondy, this isn't a strong scent on my but is still pretty. I'm not much for incense scents however so off to swaps with this one.

Hrm.. a fresh clean scent, almost citrussy in the bottle. This is the scent of a fresh, strong breeze off the ocean, maybe a little less salty. It's lovely and clean, but tends to powder out a bit. A lot of ozone and cleaness and while lovely I'm still deciding if I'd wear it enough to keep it.

It's Amalthea. It's all I can say...it simply is. Shimmering, white, shinng, and absolutely gorgeous. There's a light almost melon smell at first that fades into something lemony but not overpoweringly so. More like a touch of brightness under crystal. A faint herbal and grassy undertone balances the whole thing. It's not fruity per say so much as shining and innocent and wooow.... Keeper? Definitly a keeper. Its the only part of a unicorn you could cage (maybe if Mommy Fortuna had had this she would have given up both harpy and unicorn )

Wierdly, as civet has hated me every SINGLE time, not this time. This one was all herbs, sages, definitly some junoper, and a little musk but nothing overpowering or rancid. It was really rather gender neutral and while natural and herbal anbd a bit musky, I didn't find it overpowering. I am still rather amazed that this one DIDN"T go rancid on my, however it's not really me so off it goes to swaps.

Kabuki: In the bottle, sweetly cherry. On me: this remained a very sweet, sticky, cherryish smell, almost little-girlish. The anise provides a subtle kick underneath though, making this a little more mischeivous and nose-catching. It stayed fairly true on me, not morphing much from that sweet cherry, almost medicinal, smell. Loooots of staying power here but not me either so off to swaps.

reserved, elegant and regal, this is, as others have noted a very rosey scent but the roses are not dry and it's almost impossible to even call them roses. It's the scent of pressing your nose into an opening flower. This started off herbal and bitter and I was very surprised when it mellowed like it did. There seems to be a touch of something else in there, carnation? Violet? I can't pinpoint it. Sadly this is a little understated for me and while beautiful doesn't last long enough and soaps out too much to warrant adding it to the list.

Creamy, herbal, and incensey in the vial. On me the Patchuolli and neroli were the predominant notes, a strong, dark incensey smell that is at once dangerous and dark. The neroli smooths this out a little so it's not cloying or too heavy, just dark and menacing. Add the oleander under this for some femininity and it's a lovely, complex scent that bespeaks of danger and vengance. I love this one, but it's not really me, per say, so I'll be swapping it off.

Herbal in the vial, this pulls 'ye olde lemon" transformation on my skin, the herbal fading into the background along with a vague scent of pine as I get socked over the head with a sack of limes and lemons. I really desperately wish I knew why citrus hates me so, but it certainly does hate me and I continue the search for a blend that doesn't do this to me. Off to swaps with Hemlock in the hopes that someone will have more luck with it.

Having been to the bone church of Prague, I rather had to try this on principle. A very..well..churchy scent. In the vial this is a strong herbal, lots of frankincense in there. On my skin the lilly is most predominant as others have noted, with a current of frankinscence adding a resiny based under that. It's very peaceful, clean, fragrant and not heavy. It's cool and quiet, like the interior of a cathedral after worship. Sadly this soaps out a bit on me so it's not a keeper but it's beautiful before that and not too overpowering.

Slightly salty and the usual resiny sweetness that is Dragon's Blood in the bottle. Wierdly the initial phases of this gave me no salt whatsoever. Instead I got a very lily-like smell, a strong sweet floral underlayed with a touch of dragon's blood sweetness, and no saltiness. This didn't last overly long on me, but now smelling my skin there's a faint touch of saltiness left behind. It's a very odd, beautiful scent and one I would certainly keep were it a little longer lasting on me. As it is I'll take the sculpting idea it gave me and add the perfume to swaps.

Piney and fresh in the bottle, on me...oh no there's lemon in here! :sob: The lemony scent completely overwhelms anything else on me as always, which is rather sad so while this stayed citrusy on me for a while it faded abruptly into nothingness after long. Stupid chemistry!
