Ok, this is going to be one of those reviews that's all heart and no head. Deap Cap is amazing. It's amazing in the bottle. It's amazing on yer skin. It morphs only very slightly, in amazing ways. It's kind of deep and a bit light too. An even man/woman split on the scent category. It's a bit sweet, in a soft, maddening way. There's something in here that reminds me Scales of Deprivation, maybe someone who knows what the ingredients are could help me out here! Amazing.

I'd like to be objective about this - but I can't I don't do Rose scents. So this obviously isn't going to be for me. But, it's fallen into my hands and so I will review it. For a Rose smell, it's actually very nice, it reminds me of Kashmiri Rose incense. Not as 'Turkish Delight' as a lot of rose scents can be. It doesn't change. I washed it off a day ago and I can still smell it on me. If you like Rose you'll adore this. Not for me though. I Score It: 1/10

I could tick of every ingredient listed: Patchouli? yes! Sandalwood? absolutely! Frankincense? You betcha... In the end though, the frankincense went coca-cola on me. Very odd. But I could see how that could happen. The rest of the elements are lovely, but have worked better in other blends... Perfecly nice, but not for me. I Score It: 4/10

Oakmoss and patchouli straight away, which makes me a fan already. Woody, but with a zest. It strikes me as a close relative of Lear, though Greed is lighter and softer in general, with that sharper top note. Very wearable. I Score It: 7/10

Well, name alone drew me to this one. Plus I like the vanilla/musk thing (Dorian style), thought the cherry would put a nice spin on things. Unfortunately, this turned out to be an anti-me smell. The cherry-vanilla mix I found to be an unpleasant combination. With the musk and vetiver thrown in, the best I can describe my thoughts on this one is 'rotting marzipan'...sorry c'est la vie I Score It: 1/10

This was an odd one for me. It smelt of wood and leather to me, not the sort of thing I would usually consider wearing. But I've learnt that the proof is in the eating, so to speak. In the bottle it is very strong, just doesn't seem like it's going to be good... Wet - the hearb notes start coming through, and very quickly becomes rather pleasant. And like someone said before, I'd swear I could detect patchouli, albeit without the sweetness. Dry - It's dark and woody with fragrant herbs to mellow it. It's amazing. Despite the difference in ingredients, it reminds me a lot of Greed, which wound up being too sharp for me, but this is great. Thank you BPAL for revealing a new side of me. I Score It: 7/10

From the bottle I get a strong eucalyptus-like smell, that must be the pine. Ok, so this is not going to be for me because that's an avenue I can associate with Vicks Vapour rubs and so forth, not sexy. I put some on anyway, for the sake of experiment. After about half an hour the pine had died of sufficiently to let the rosemary note through, much nicer. Final verdict: Unique fragrance, love the rosemary, detest the pine. I Score It: 5/10

I've been playing with Snake Oil for a few weeks now - so it must be time to review it... In the bottle it's a dark, musky vanilla smell. Wet - Same but sweeter as the vanilla comes out. There's an oily tang that's almost off-putting. Dry - This is a unique perfume that quite defies an appropriate description. It's vanilla, sure, but like no vanilla scent you've ever experienced before. It's dark, sweet, oily and animalic. What's to add? It's a unique, intoxicating smell for freaks and weirdos. Wear it to shock and attract/confuse others. I Score It: 8.5/10

My First Review! Ok, in the bottle it smells fruity, but soft not citrus. It's like berries. There's an 'other' note too that gives it a little more depth - enough to make it interesting. Wet - Smells similar but sweeter, and quite 'clean' too. Dry - That 'other' note has returned and the berries have backed off a bit. It's still sweet, but not so sticky. A latent spicy note deepens and warms the aroma. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Dorian. I tried it out for several days. It err's on the clean and sweet side a little too much for me and yet, and yet something in it is compelling. This is definitely something for an alternative fellow, but perhaps one a little more flamboyant the I. I Score It: 7.5/10

My tuppence worth is...if almond IS the culprit, it would explain the Doh elemnt in otherwise seemingly unrelated scents, as Almond oil is one of the most popular carrier oils. Regards.
