Imp: Smells mainly powdery - guessing that's the violet. Underneath, it is incensey. Reminds me of the old enchantment shop that used to be near here. Wet: Violet. Not sure I like violet. Less powdery, but still pretty damn powdery. Bit of creaminess to it, but not much. Dry: Violety powder. I was hoping for some actually noticeable incensiness, but nope. Just powder. It's not super annoying or anything, but it's pretty bland. Not a fan of this at any stage. Edit: The spot I applied it is now sore. Not itchy, but painful. Ow.

    Twilight

Imp: Lavender. Not a very sweet kind. Seems a bit spicy. Wet: A lot of lavender. Smells like the stuff I pick straight from the garden. Not very sweet, but not entirely herbal. It's a very pleasant note. There's something around the edges of it. The jasmine, I think. This reminds me of my mum's front garden on a hot summer's night. The lavender is disappearing pretty quickly now. Dry: Jasmine is in front now. I can barely smell the lavender, but it leaves a slight spiciness. There's an extra sweetness to it, which I gather is the honeysuckle. I wish I could smell more of the lavender. It's mostly just a jasmine blend on me now. It's a note that thankfully works for me, but it's a bit simple and plain when I was expecting more from the wet and imp. Edit: It's turned to pure soap. Bleh. One for burning or a scent locket.

Wet:On me, the oakmoss and musk are predominant, and have a decently large throw. Started out a bit disappointingly green, given the notes. Dry: There's the other notes! They're much closer to my skin, especially the peach. They lighten it up quite a bit, but the oakmoss is still the main. In the end, it smells like a fairy forest, with fruits smelt lightly from the trees around. Definitely worth the wait for the dry.

Imp: Floral. Can definitely smell the jasmine and gardenia. Can't smell the other two. Wet: Banana-vanilla pudding. :/ Dry: Still banana-vanilla pudding. Was really hoping that would have left. It's throwing pretty big, too. If I put my wrist to my nose, I can smell a nice, smooth floral. If only this got any further than nose-literally-on-wrist. Only ended up lasting about 4 hours, and smelt like banana-vanilla pudding every step of the way. o.o

    Rosalind

Oh, Rosalind. You turned into headachy floral scented chemical house cleaner right away.

Imp: Mainly rosmary. Not as meh smelling as I find the fresh, actual herb. Wet: Rose coming out along with it. I'd say they're fairly even. I'd personally like a bit less rosemary at this stage. The orange blossom is underneath it all. Need to get really close to smell it. Finding it decent at this stage. Dry: Rose, rose, rose, rosemary, rose. Didn't turn soapy, but again too far one sided for my liking. Really temperamental. Will keep and use my imp, but won't seek out more.

    Desdemona

Imp: Lily seems to be the base, with some almost spiciness that I'm guessing is carnation (still not experienced enough with carnation to pull it out singularly). The sweet pea is there, but it seems to blend into the other two. It's hard to distinguish by itself. If I hadn't known it was in it, I may not have recognised it as sweet pea. It's a sad scent. A loving, sad scent. Perhaps an effect of the lily lending it a funeral associated sadness? Wet: There's the sweetpea. It and the lily take the front now, with the carnation? dropping back. Very aquatic floral with a slight spicy edge. It defintiely has a base. I'm not finding it as light/airy as I thought I would. This is innocence. Not naive, little girl innocence, but loving, trusting innocence. Dry: The sweetpea disappears for a while, with the carnation amping, but as the other two drop off, it comes back again. I am in love with this. The scent and the mood it gives are my fave from BPAL thus far. It makes me feel alive, loving and beautiful. Found myself a 5ml. <3

    Whip

Lust and sex in a bottle. Imp: Sharp leather. Tickles the top of my nose. Can't really make out any rose. Was apprehensive about putting this on my skin at this stage. Wet: Still that sharp, nose tingling leather. I can sense the rose underneath, but it's not really making itself too known at the moment. Dry: Yessssssss. The rose has appeared. The leather is still obviously there, and although has lost some of its sharpness, it's now warm and sexy. Whip has just made it onto my wantneednow list. The throw, strength and life on this is huge. 14 hours later, I can still smell it on me - and it's still awesome. Warm, sexy rosy leather. It can also smell be smelt strongly on the blanket I'd wrapped myself in the day before when first wearing it. Boyfriend's verdict was "Mmmmmmm". It got far more attention than any other has. Straight onto the 5ml wishlist.

    Epitaph

Wet: My skin chemistry is really kind to this one. Nothing is amped or disappears. It smells beautiful, but in a longing, mourning way. I don't know how the lab does it, but I get the mist. The flowers smell wet and distant without smelling weak. Something in this pulls some nostalgic strings in me, but I can't place from where. Dry: Pretty much stays the same, though the florals both strengthen as the mist drops away. All scent was gone completely after 3 hours. Would become a staple scent for me if only it lasted longer.

    Peitho

Wet: Gorgeous. Mainly floral on me, especially in the throw. Closer to the skin you can detect the "darker" base notes, which deepen with a spicy-smooth oriental base it without ruining or overpowering the florals. Definitely one to get a lover to nuzzle in close. Dry: Please no. It's turned into a huge, cloying, headachy mess. Can't really make out any individual notes at this time. They have just morphed into a dense haze. One for my oil burner or hair. Definitely willing to work with it to keep the wet scent.

    The Reaper and the Flowers

Imp & Wet: A beautiful, even floral. Bouquet is definitely a word that fits here. While I could make out most of the notes, lily being the main, the rose didn't appear for me. One and a half hours later: Oh dear. This isn't good. Something in this has turned hot dusty on me. It honestly smells like when you've been using a vacuum cleaner, and open it up to change the bag or filter. Hot dust. :/ Not what I ever expected from this. I can't even smell a floral base anymore. Boyfriend's opinion is old powdery soap. From the wet and imp, I wanted to love this, but just can't justify smelling like grubby overheated housecleaning so shortly after. :X
