In the bottle it smells very overpowering. All wood and resin with no hint of the rose. Wet on the skin all the notes blend perfectly. No note overpowering another. Earthy and floral. Dry this smells like an antique hope chest that has been well loved, kept polished, holds a dried rose bouquet, fond memories and dark secrets. I adore this!

Whipped jasmine cream and peach blossom with vanilla orchid and white frankincense. In the bottle: The first thing I noticed was the sweet, creamy vanilla notes. Secondly was the jasmine, then peach dances in. It made me think of having a peach custard dessert with small vase of jasmine flowers near by. On Skin: Bright peach, creamy vanilla and sweet summery jasmine. I don't get the frankincense note yet. I think it's the note that's rounding out the others. Dry: More of the same with very minimal throw. I don't know if I want to keep the bottle yet. Maybe if I moisturized very well before applying the oil it would give it more throw. I must say it is very lovely.

I never would have picked this scent for myself, for my particular tastes. Having been frimped a decant of this from a fellow forum member I had to give a test. Wet: Soft musk, wood and greenery. Dry: The musk is so cozy soft and quite sexy. The wood smells like cedar but the musk softens it. Definitely is not the sharp cedar of a hope chest. The greenery is a lush forest floor. I simply adore how this smells on my skin. Still very surprised at my adoration. I had stashed the tiny decant away to savor but when I saw it in the update for this years Yules I ordered it right away. There is a masculine feel to this for me, but think its one that I pull off quite nicely. Reminiscent of when I would buy the male version of a designer scent because I liked it better than the feminine one.

This was a woody moss while wet. Made me think of New Orleans. I will have to cleanly test it on my own skin soon. My 11yo son wanted to see what it smelled like so I placed a small drop on his arm. His reaction? "Smells like old flowers." I agreed that mossy blended with flowers can smell that way. Which is appropriate for a Haunted house. The phantoms of floral arraignments in a long forgotten and haunted house.

It most certainly makes me think of a man's scent, right away. A very sexy man. A slight musk with 'clean' notes coming through. Sadly I am not able to place the notes. While I do love this, I think it would smell better on my husband.

Maybe a pikaki type will work. Pikaki is also know as Hawaiian Jasmine.
