I love this scent! It may even be my new favorite BPAL! Sweet but a tad soapy (in a good way), creamy, soft, rosey, a touch of powder, yum! Reminds me of a soft silk or cashmere blanket with rose petals.

Definitely Morocco if you like gourmands. It's like a cinnamon bun on me, but it does have creamy carnation in it. I haven't tried Bathsheba yet (it's in the mail to me right now!!!) but it has carnation and it seems to be a favourite with folks too. Yay sounds delicious! I just bought an imp from someone so I can't wait for it to come! Reading the previous thread I'm thinking of trying Maiden and Brisingamen too.

I searched for a Carnation post but didn't find one, so... What other scents have carnation that is similar to that in Alice? That one worked really well on me so I'd love to hear some other recs. I love anything sweet or creamy, nothing with more than just a touch of spice. I go more for florals, fruits, and gourmands over greens and aquatics, but all recommendations appreciated! Also, I did a search for Carnation and these are the ones that seem appealing to me, so if you have any comments on any of the following I'd love to hear them too! Maenad Terpsichore Moscow

Bottle: soft, faint, wete , white sparkling flowers Skin I: sharper, wet, white sparkling flowers with some white musk and a touch of earthy powder Skin II: drier, powdery white petals A very pretty scent. Visually I see white flowers with drops of water on them, a white old-fashioned looking house, and lace gloves. It's a gorgeous floral and not too heady, though it has a lot of throw and lasts a while. The scent isn't as pretty as it wears on, it gets a little dry.

Bottle: mostly amber and some honey with a touch of powder. Skin I: powdery amber with a small swirl of honey. Skin II: very powdery amber with a very slight hint of fading honey. I didn't get any vanilla in this scent, it was mainly a warm, powdery amber. Even the honey wasn't very prominent. A nice simple scent but just not terribly unique or wonderful.

Bottle: rich, dark, fruity wine with berries. Skin I: dark reddish purplish, sweet currant soda with a tinge of red wine. Skin II: faint, sweet, dark red berries with fading soda and wine; the slightest tinge of greenness appears for a second but is gone by the next sniff. This scent is very true to its description! If you're looking for a darker berry scent this one is perfect! It didn't amaze or excite me a lot, but I like it. It's a pleasant, rich, dark, and but still distinctly sweet and fruity scent without being too young, light, or innocent.
