    A Nocturnal Reverie

I bought this on a whim to try. I love the artwork on the bottle! In the bottle: strong lavender without much elseWet: again strong lavender which I like but it was almost too much. I was getting ready for bed so I decided to continue on seeing it is a soothing, relaxing, sleep inducing scent. I grow lavender in my front yard and dry it out. I put it in a little pouch in my pillow normally.Dry down: the lavender starts to calm and the other notes start to come forth and mingle. Violet, a bit of musk, sweet smelling.Dry: it smells quite nice. I kept smelling my wrists. It has a bit of throw and wear length. I could still smell it 6+ hours later. It's a keeper!

    The Gladdener of All Hearts

In the bottle: it's smells spicy to me which I wasn't expecting.Wet: it first starts to smell a bit like sour milk but it quickly starts to soften and the powdery rose and hint of lavender come through.Dry: it continues to get a sweet and powdery smell that I really like. I also smell rose. It has some throw to it and it has staying power. I put it on before bed and could still smell it in the morning. I'm glad I bought the bottle. It's a keeper.

Strings in the Earth and Air

I bought a deccant of this thinking I should try it before committing to a bottle. In the bottle: it has a clean/ fresh smell.Wet: at first it smelled almost like lemon pledge. A few minutes later that smell started to disparate and the notes started to come forward.Dry down: it smells musky but clean and airy it's the best way to describe it. I kept smelling my wrists. It doesn't have much throw but I put very little on. It did last longer than I expected. I will be ordering a bottle before its discontinued.

    Smut

I bought a bottle of this without ever testing it. Again it seemed to be a universally loved scent. In the bottle: it smells like amaretto liquor or something akin to it. A bit overpowering but I didn't let that scare me off.Wet:it smells like musky cherry/ almond mmmmmDry: it's amazing! I couldn't stop smelling my wrists. It has good throw and staying power. Eight + hrs and could still smell it somewhat. I will be buying as much as I can. I hope they continue to release this each year.

    Blooming Rose

I bought a decant of this. I was excited to try it.In the bottle: I smell rose and peony which I think complement each other .Wet: the rose starts to amp on me so it's almost on the edge of smelling sour but it stops before that. Then the rose calms, peony and lilac start to mingle.Dry: it's a very sweet, femine smell, some of my favorite scents together. It stays close to the skin, not much throw. I had to reapply sooner than I expected but I will be buying at least one bottle maybe more.

I'm also getting a clean smell can't explain.Dry:I smell the orange and a powdery undertone. I personally like it a lot. I will be buying a bottle of this.

I got this as a decant. In the bottle it has a very good smell, sorta citrusy and something else.Wet: at first it's amping a lemon scent like crazy! After about ten minutes it starts to calm and other scents start to appear.Dry: I cannot put my finger on it but it smells sorta like fizzy powder with just a hint of citrus. I really like it. I kept smelling my wrists. It stays close to the skin but has some staying power.I'm considering buying a bottle before its discontinued.

    Bilquis

This is the first bottle I bought. I got it without knowing what it would smell like just by ingredients. In the bottle it's strong but pleasing, wet it's still strong but smells very good cherry/almond. The dry down is complex with floral notes coming through. I love it. It was staying power also with quite a throw. I'm going to be on the lookout for a second bottle.

    Street Festival

In the imp it smells quite pleasing. Wet I amped the lemon balm like crazy. I patiently waited for the dry down and the more floral notes to come out. After dry down I smell grapefruit, tart citrusy smelling and that's how it stayed. I have to say I like it better in the bottle than on me sadly.

    Before the Snowy Window

When I saw the list of ingredients I had to try it. I thought for sure it would be a winner and want several bottles. In the vial it smelled quite strong. On my skin it amped and it smelled like a piney scent which I like but I started to get a headache and my nose stuffed up. So Im not sure about the smells after it dried. I couldn't really smell cherry blossoms or tuberose. No peach for that matter. Sadly I'm allergic to it but would probably wear it if I didn't have a reaction to it. I'm allergic to most things btw out of the 60 things they poked my back with they all swelled . That is why I wear oils and a very limited number of perfumes that I guess bother me the least.

    Calligraphy Practise

I got this as a frimp and thought I'd try it. The sage is very strong. I tried it and put a dab on my hubby. It turned sour smelling on me. On him I could smell the beeswax and other notes. It smelled nice on him. I think it's a unisex oil leaning more toward males. I won't be buying a bottle sadly.

    Ecstatic Revelry

In the bottle it smells strong but not unpleasant . I put it on and it amped, and amped, and amped. I stuck it out for the dry down to see if it would mellow on me. I can usually handle strong notes. After dry down it simply smelled awful on me. I think it is cumin. It's just not working with my skin chemistry and sadly washed what I could off. I think my husband could pull it off and would smell nice on him.

    Elizabeth of Bohemia

I have to say that this oil brought back one of my best memories and nearly made me cry. I explained that memory in the welcome forum actually. This imp will not be enough for sure. Straight from the bottle it truly smells like REAL ROSES. That is something you don't get any more when you buy them due to breeding and crossbreeding roses. My next door neighbor ran a huge rose growing company. He used to bring home all types of roses to his wife and me ( he is like a dad to me. ) They were always beautiful , but no scent. He explained why. I gave him a pink rose that grows wild near my childhood home. I know they are more than 80 years old and don't bloom like a regular rose more like if you crossed a rose with a carnation with very short stems. Anyway, he said because they are a very old type of rose and fairly rare. They haven't been messed with so they retain the smell. Well, this oil is dead on! The perfect ode. Simply beautiful !

    Lady in Speckled Pink Kimono

Ahhh, peonies . My Grandmother has had them growing in the front yard all of my life. I opened the bottle and took a whiff and I was eight again smelling them and dancing around the yard , picking a few to give to her or take home. I could see pink. This is a beautiful smell from the bottle to the skin, wet to dry it is a lovely scent. I will be buying more of this for certain!

    Dilution and Carrier Oils

I've never had any trouble with grapeseed oil. I've used it as a carrier oil since 1998. I've never had a problem with it separating or going rancid. That is if you use dark bottles, tight caps, and keep them in a cool place. I've also used sesame oil. Be careful because some is scented. In the winter I use Netrogena sesame oil that has a very light scent mixed with usually single scents. One is lavender which is safe to put as much as you want without a carrier for instance. However bergamot is stronger so I cut it with a carrier. Some oils I've come across can cause skin irritation especially if used in a large quantity like for a massage.
