  1. Dragon Pecker v2 - Thank you to my wonderful friend in the Ze Easter Bunny Wishing Depot who gifted me with a tester of this. ( you!) This smells wonderful -- the dragon's blood in it is the light dragon's blood used in Red Moon 2004. There's also the distinct, dry, rooty scent of orris and the dry wood of cedar. I also smell a trace of something distinctly green and herbal, similar to the scent of crushed grass or maybe even a more bitter flower like marigold. Overall, I think it's an awesome dragon's blood scent and I'm glad I had the opportunity to give it a test run!

  2. B-Horror - Many thanks to sunshinedaisybliss for gifting me with a decant of this. The peanut butter initially scared me away, which is why I didn't bother to try it until now. Happily, I smell virtually no peanut butter in this, although I do perhaps smell a little warm nuttiness. This mostly smells like a cordial cherry -- heavy, thick, syrupy cherry covered in a carnauba wax-heavy chocolate. I actually really like it. Definitely makes me think of the boxes of cherry cordials you see everywhere during the Holidays.

  3. Sue's Great Old Puppet Show - I love this. At first whiff, I was transported in my mind back to about 1981. The memory this scent provoked was that of me, at age 10 or 11, sitting in front of my sticker album, playing with my scratch-n-sniff stickers. That's exactly what this reminds me of -- a "fake" chocolate scent, that's delicious in it's own plastic-like right. It smells awesomely chocolatey in a fake, plastic kind of way, just like my childhood scratch-and-sniff-stickers. Love it!

  4. Idea of March 2010 - I haven't smelled the 2009 version, but this is very different from the 2005 version, which was highly floral (in a gender neutral way!) on me. This opens with the scent of dark musk and herbs and smells slightly masculine in a cologney sort of way, but within minutes, that masculine cologne scent dissipates, and what's left is a gorgeous herbal scent that's slightly dark and yet perfect for springtime. The only note that really stands out on its own is the cardamom, which is one of those scents that just loooooves my skin (and I love it in return ). It's surrounded by a really well-blended dark herbal and faintly floral loveliness. This is really pretty. It's a winner!

  5. Liz - This is the most beautiful scent -- definitely worth a bottle, or maybe even two. It's the perfect balance of sweet (but not foody) vanilla and black leather. There's a swirl of smoke in the background -- not scary and murderous like smoke monster from LOST, but more subtle, like stepping outdoors and smelling the scent of a fireplace going somewhere in the nearby neighborhood. It's so lovely, and is really strong. A little tiny bit goes a long way. I thought Clockwork Couture: Female was going to be the best ever vanilla/leather scent, but I'm afraid this one beats CC: Female by a mile. I'm definitely tacking on a bottle to my next order.

  6. The Little Bird - This scent is very green, crystalline clear, and floral, but more of a wildflower way than an arranged bouquet kind of way. It's a little high-pitched when I first put it on, but that settles down within a few minutes, which is when the greenery really becomes evident. Sadly, it has virtually no throw at all after drydown, and doesn't last on me at all. I put it on before I left for work and by the time I got to work (30 minutes later), I couldn't smell it at all on my skin. So I reapplied, and had the same experience. :(

  7. Chaste Moon 2010 - This opens up with a slightly creamy, crystal-clear, soft floral scent, but the creaminess fades very quickly. As it warms up on me, the florals stay soft and the lunar oils become very evident, with a hint of something slightly herbal in the background. When I first put it on, before I read the scent description, I thought to myself, "I bet this has the word 'crystalline' in the scent description" -- and it does. That's definitely the overall feeling of this scent -- crystalline, pure, simple, innocent, and softly floral.

  8. Epistrophia - What's not to love about this one? It's full of lovely notes! It's definitely a purple floral, but the frankincense gives it a bit of dryness that keeps it from being too sweetly or sharply floral. The violet is just the tiniest bit powdery, but mostly sweet and lovely. Overall, it's predominantly a violet/iris/frankincense fragrance on me, with the other notes pretty far in the background. I'm glad I finally got around to trying this one!

  9. The Harp of Cnoc I'Chosgair - I've been looking for years for the perfect vanilla-sandalwood scent. I have finally found it. :wub2: There's the slightest bit of soapiness to this scent when sniffed up close, so I just won't sniff up close! Otherwise, it's a gorgeous GORGEOUS GORGEOUS vanilla-sandalwood with a warm touch of spicy cardamom and the fainest breath of amber. It's positively divine.

  10. Roses, Pearls, and Diamonds - Oh my goodness, this is lovely! The rose -- a fresh, red rose -- is definitely the strongest on me, with the orris right behind it. I love how the orris works in this scent, with its quality of dry-root whiteness against the lush red of the rose. I can't smell the coconut at all. It's a very lovely and calming scent, very feminine.

  11. Ekhidna - The oil is thick and dark, and the scent is thick, dark, and heavy. I love about half the notes in this blend and am iffy on the other half, so I was really curious about it. When I first put it on I can distinctly smell, in order of prominence, the pimento, tobacco, black pepper, and hint of dark myrrh, and a trace of clove. The longer it's on my skin, the more the clove becomes the top note, but it never amps on me as clove tends to do. This is definitely a scent for people who like heavier, darker scents. It's got the potential for extreme sexiness on the right person or in the right context. On me, sitting in my living room on the sofa wrapped in a blanket, it's less sexy and more of a warm, comforting scent. As for what I think of it overall ... I like it, but don't love it. This is one scent that will almost certainly age well, and since I like it now, maybe I'll love it in 6-12 months.

  12. Bread-and-Butter-Fly - This smells delicious! It opens upon on me with a strong, black (Earl Grey-like) tea scent over the scent of milk-like, creamy butter. The milky quality dissipates quickly and it becomes mostly tea and bread. There's a bit of stale flatness about it that I often get with foody scents, but it's faint and so overall, I still like the scent. This is another strange scent on me in that it's definitely not something I would normally wear, and while I like it, I don't love it, yet it's so unique and interesting that I can't stop huffing my wrist!

  13. Snap-Dragon-Fly - This opens up as a super-sweet plum scent.... so lovely! As it warms up on my skin, the mincemeat spices really become the dominant notes, and I can smell the pastry of the pie, too. Upon drydown, it's mostly the scent of pie pastry filled with spicy mincemeat and sweet, juicy plum. This is a strange scent on me, but I like it. I'm not much of a "foody" scent person, and even though this is highly foody, it's not foody in the usual way.

  14. Grief - When first applied, this is extremely strong, high-pitched lily of the valley and fresh, springtime calamus. As it dries down, both of those notes settle down significantly and this becomes a lily-dominant, mixed floral blend on a bed of fresh-cut greenery. It's pretty, and those who love springtime floral scents may like this one a lot.

  15. BOBN1 - When I first applied this, all I smelled was the sweet-sour rind of some type of fruit, and what kept coming to my mind was either yuzu or starfruit. I didn't pick up on the florals at all until a good 15 minutes into it, when it started to dry down, at which point the fruit-rind settled down and the whole scent became a nicely balanced fruity-floral, but I couldn't tell you for the life of me what floral -- definitely not rose, jasmine, heliotrope, lily, lilac, wisteria, carnation, cherry blossom, apple blossom, plum blossom, or orange blossom. Maybe the others who said narcissus and mimosa are right. It's a very pretty and soft scent on me after drydown. Glad I got a chance to try it.

  16. Oh, the irony of wanting to bathe in a scent that is actually a bath oil....that's impossible to get more of!!!

This is gorgeous. I really can't describe it better than yeahbutnobut did (whom I also have to thank for my tester!) Like her, it reminds me of another scent, but I can't put my finger on which one. Maybe CC: Male? Maybe Violens? Maybe something else entirely? It's actually kind of bugging me that I can't peg it down. Anyway, yes, it's sweet and smoky (on me, not so much musk, actually). I think there's got to be a bit of dark myrrh in this, as well as some clove, and maybe some sandalwood (?), amber, vanilla, and smoky incense. This scent is so much love that I will not waste my 1/2 imp in a bath. I will wear it directly on my skin, but only on a day when I have nothing else to do other than sit around huffing my wrist.

  17. Rhinotoros - Straight out of the bottle, this smells like some serious, major, hardcore VETIVER. As soon as I apply it, I can smell the patchouli, and once it dries down, the white pepper tiptoes in and gently accompanies the other two notes. I never can pinpoint the grapefruit, but there's a crispness about this scent that I am guessing must be a result of the grapefruit. The other three notes combine to create an almost leather-like scent -- a dark brown, worn, leather shoe type smell. It smells really, really good. I do love a good vetiver scent! It's a bit too masculine for my taste, however. The throw is really strong -- I put on a tiny drop while testing and 30 minutes later, I was caught in a gust of wind, and wow, you should have smelled the air around me. It was as if every molecule of air in that wind gust absorbed some of the Rhinotoros fragrance. It was the sexiest wind gust I've ever been caught up in! :D Really, really nice vetiver scent. Too bad my husband can't wear fragrance. This would be a nice one on him.

  18. Doodad - Will wonders never cease -- another foody blend I can wear! Sadly, I only have a few drops of this. :( It's GORGEOUS. I don't smell much in the way of nuts in this...which is good, since my skin doesn't generally like nutty scents. I smell yummy sugar cookies drizzled with a cherry cordial creme on top. This scent opens up with a huge blast of juiciness along with the cookie scent, but it doesn't have that cough syrupy scent that certain cherry scents have (e.g., Kabuki); rather, it's more of a creamy cherry, like we found in Bloody Mary. The overall scent is rich and buttery, loaded with sugary baked goods and that cherry creme glaze. Wow, this is delicious. It's making me hungry. Want more. Want cookies...

  19. The Witch's Repast - This smells soooo good! I don't smell any meat at all. Rather, I mostly smell the honey and bread and lots of juicy berries. Mmmm! It's very boozy and sweet and fermenty and bready when I first apply it. A good 8 hours later, I can still smell it on my skin, but what's left is mostly a rich honey-bread scent at this point. I really love this one and am just amazed that I can wear it so well since I don't wear foody very well, but this foody is one that works on me. Delicious! The Witch's Repast - This smells soooo good! 20. The Zadok Allen Vineyard - Holy smokes, folks, this is amazing! I ran a decant group over on LJ, and the whole time I was decanting this, I was kind of grossed out by the uber-wine scent, and so, when I had a partial bottle left over, I sold it. Now, I'm kicking myself for doing that. I wish I had more than just a couple drops left! This is gorgeous on me. Yes, it opens up with a BLAST -- a REALLY HUGE blast -- of wine, but that quickly settles down and behind comes the dark juiciness of the plum and cherry, as well as the faintest hint of rose, which is very soft, gentle, and slightly powdery, and then there's the smoky wood and dark, heavy incense and the faintest coppery tinge of blood running through it. . If I wouldn't have seen the scent description, I'd have guessed there was dark myrrh in this, which must be the sweetness of the blood combined with the black incense. I will be buying a bottle, and I can totally see this becoming my go-to scent when I want something dark, heavy, and very sexy. Throw is about average and it has higher-than-average longevity.

  21. Lovers in a Ricefield - I love this scent when first applied. It's a burst of slightly spicy, juicy sweetness. The plum is rich and ripe and soooo sweet and juicy! Right behind it is the soft, almost-powdery scent of wild rice. The fruitiness fades almost as fast as its juiciness bursts out upon my skin initially, but as it fades, the vanilla sandalwood becomes the dominant note, with a hint of the plummy goodness in the background. It's gorgeous, but within 5 minutes of application, it has become a skin scent that I cannot smell at all unless I practically press my nose to my skin. An hour later, I can barely detect it, and by two hours after application, there's not the faintest trace of it to be found. I think this would smell much better if I used it in an oil burner to keep the scent bright, bold, and true from beginning to end.
