Hmm! Loved the description though. It just made me want to see what all these crazy notes are about. What I get is, A very masculine blend. Slightly ozoney and slightly citrussy. A bit of a dissapointment really. It smells quite generic. Like one of those kinda imitations you get in certain shops. Oh dear sorry...not loving this one. The dry stage makes me think slightly of Obsession by Calvin Klein, but only when it's really dry. Other than that? Not very special on me at all!

The wet stage of this reminds me so much of whatever the note in White Rabbit & Ichabod Crane is. I just looked over the notes and it must be the ginger but I can't see it somehow. It's more of a creamy, milk? smell. This scent is very faint though and I really have to sniff to get any joy out of it. The scent of the weird milkiness dissapears and this becomes a lovely soft pretty floral. It's just barely there though... I'm not sure I get the whole...tropical vibe from it. It smells kinda generic but pretty all the same. I'm not going crazy for Pele. Sorry.

This smells like alot of dark, tart, purple fruits. Grapes being the strongest. The wet stage is completley taken over by the grape vibe. This is the first time I've like the grapey note from the lab in a perfume though so I'm pleased. It changes quite quickly though and becomes...deeper I would say. I think this is probably where the plum is becoming more noticable. It's very very "Purple" as alot of people have said. The grape note reminds me of...grape soda or...grape sweets. It's very noticable. But the plum is here too and it's darrrrrk! The other notes come forward a bit further on in the drydown but not so much that they overtake. That grape note is holding on with it's teeth. It's now a purple floral wit a bit of Myrrh. It's much nicer in this stage than the screeching strong grape note of the wet stage. Dry stage - Hmmm finally the grape is fading, to let the others have a turn. I can't tell the difference between the floral elements of this blend but, the Myrrh is here a tiny bit and it's now become more "Grown Up". Where the wet stage was a whoosh of fun bouncy fruit grapes, this is like a Boquet of purple flowers with purple fruits intertwined. Like the wet dry stage much more, and I'm glad I didn't fall in love with this very rare oil. Phew!

This is the first and only Salon scent I've tried. I was attrcted because of the Red Musk & Saffron. So...hmm...at first this smells like alot of other things I've smelled. Like some of the Wanderlust scents. Namely Baghdad. It's not doing anything special for me on first application. It smells of Frankincense & Myrrh and just a bit generically incensey. Then the Amber comes out a bit to give a softer more powdery feel. There's not really much throw to this, that I'm aware of anyway. The dry stage howver is much more to my liking, it's much more what I expected from the notes. It's more of an interesting Incensey blend now, I can get the Red Musk WAHEY! and it's much more of a scent that makes me think of faraway places and spice markets and incense filled streets. I see the likeness to Scehrezade & Snake Charmer but it's not in their league in my opinion. The honey is sweetening the blend ever so slightly. I like..but nothing to rave about. I really want to try more Salon blends though!

This is really thick this oil! I thought there might be something wrong with it but...now I see the first review I see I'm not the only one! This oil...unfortunately just smells like wood. And that's pretty much it. Like a plank of wood. Not much throw...not much else.

Wet, this is the most green, leafy, herbal Dragon's Blood ever...with some Cedar & Lavender thrown in for good measure. The peppermint is completely lost. It's so different from the last Dragon Moon, this is darker..makes me think of forests. (In the wet stage of course). This becomes much more resinous on the drydown though, I'm holding the frankincense responsible for this, it turns much more floral too..and sweeter, blends ALWAYS go sweeter on me drydown and when they're dry. I swear I can pull vanilla out of a blend that doesn't even contain it! It's now a fuzzy well blended mix of sweetness and the whole thing seems to have come together to form a perfume that is completley different from the wet stage. It's more rounded and the notes are hard to pick out. Smells like a pink floral.

Wet...WINE! Red Wine. Smells spicy too... and reminds me of Blood Pearl. I'ts like a winey grape with some spice. The leather comes forward once the initital burst of grape/wine fades, nd now my wrist smells like a leather jacket, with a bit of fruit in the pocket. Then the leather dies down and it becomes much more sweet, the flowers are making this turn much prettier, there is still a tiny element of the fruit and the barest hint of leather. But it's now more like pink petals that are the main note. Not really too much a fan of this, it's a bit strange.

I love this stuff! It's dreamy!!! The lavender & chamomile are prominent but I've never smelled lavender blended like this, it's stunning. This is easily one of my favourite lunacies. Yes...there is a soapy kind of element but it's different it's hard to explain. This oil has a kind of oriental feel to it, which I'm supposing is the bamboo. (I really need to smell bamboo on it's own because I'm not sure what it smells like). Where can I get more of this?? this imp is not going to be enough. The girl who sits next to me at my desk is falling asleep as it's wafting haha. The throw is good...it lasts a long time and is just made of win. Whatever the magic note is in the wet stage of this blend dies down after about 15 mins. (I want more of this note...it makes my nose dance hehe). And all the notes fuse together in a soft sort of fizz. It's a bright, fun scent now. Kind of like Budding Moon. It's like it's turning pink! It's just getting better and better! *goes on the hunt for bottle*

Hmmphm. Im not really to fond of aquatics but I'll give it my best shot! Wet this like aquatic pine/fir. That touch of greenery with the aquatics of " Sea of glass". Then literally the fir dies and leaves behind the aquatic...I'm still waiting for the flowers. Hmm...this blend does turn slightly sweeter eventually, but mainly just remains a run of the mill aquatic on me. I just don't think they like me very much!!

This is gorgeous this stuff. But at the same time the throw dissapoints me majorly! This is very different to alot of BPAL oils and I was expecting the labs "Milk" note as in Milk Moon and the like. No siree this is not that note at all. It's effing gorgeous. There used to be a lush bath bomb that is now discontinued and I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. It was white and it foamed instead of fizzed and it had Pettigrain in it! This oil smells like that. YUM!!! I would slather myself in this if I had a 5 ml but the throw isn't enough to warrant it. It's smooth, creamy with a slight something behind that doesn't smell like ginger to me, it's a teensy bit floral. It smells strangely plastic too but in a good way and I'm loving it! The creaminess fades after a while and the note that was lurking has come forward...god knows what it is but it's nice. It's slightly fizzy...maybe floral..this is driving me mad! This is one of those hard to describe oils..but it's amazing. So different and odd smelling but gorgeous all at the same time!

This is all treacle on me when it's wet. Like someone said before it's almost got a nutty sort of vibe. It's musky too and dare I say this...It reminds me a little bit of the wet stages of Storyville on me. I get that same impression. It's definately a foody sweet blend when wet. I'm waiting with baited breath for this smoke because right now I can't see it happening. So far there is no..Beer or anything like that.. Oh yeah...the throw on this stuff is pretty strong too.. Hmm not much changes in drydown or when it's dry..it just gets less sweet, a little less musky and just is more of a faint treacle/brown sugar scent. I wanted smoke..

This si very pretty. It's soft...light....delicate...golden and yes...does bare the resemblance to a posh perfume but..nicer. I'm getting a slight hint of vanilla, I can swear there's White Musk in here and Amber. And a sort of golden dryness. There is an incense element and a minute ago I was huffing and it was so strange I got whisked back to my holiday in Bali in 1996..where the incense flows through the air in the street outside every shop as an offerning to the gods...mixed in with he searing heat. I'm not even sure the smell is THAT similar but sometimes smells can do that. (That was a rare moment) *rememebers some cool stuff* Ok so..yes...there is a definate sophisitication. As it dries, the amber comes forward a bit more and gives the blend that powderyness. And I also think there's alot more musk showing itself in the dry stages. I can also detect a slight animalistic note too. This is a brilliant and interesting blend for me. It's a clost-to-the-skin scent. The throw and lsting power is nearing zero on me though. I'm gonna have to slather.

I get a big whoosh of Bergamot at first from this..yum! I love Bergamot. But it's gone in a flash and this scent turns very spicy and plummy. This reminds me of more of an Aromatherapy oil than a perfume. or something you would put in a burner. Don't get me wrong...I really like it but...the spicyness and the fruit is reminding of like a candle or something. Anwway...that's the wet stage. The fruit fades a little on dry down, and it's turns slighty more spicy, with a plum undertone. Then the fruit fades more and this scent becomes like a faint spice...

This is so strange. And I don't mean strange smelling. I mean strange in the way that I'm not getting ANY of the notes listed. This smells like sweet plasticy fake fruit. Which I don't mind at all. It's like a Strawberry Shortcake doll. But not Strawberry. It's like a Berry Shortcake Doll. No morphing, not much throw..I have to reapply lots. Love the smell but..it's not strong enough.

This queen is powerful!!! Deep red berries and and Apple and Orchid is what I get first with a POW! Lots of throw to start with and she's making a statement. I'M HERE & I MIGHT BITCH SLAP YOU IF YOU ARGUE WITH ME!!! Yum...this is cool. I never like florals really but this is cool! It makes me feel posh and powerful. The dry down stage is different, much more green and mossy, the greeness of this is the same as that lovely light green I get from "The Fairy Market". Delicate grass and green things. That's the undertone...there are still powerful florals on top and the apple blossom is still really prominent. It's like there's fruit somewhere in here that's encomapssing the flowers too but not overtaking them. Like it's giving them a cosy hug. I am LOVING this dry down stage. The dry stage is greener still and probably my most favourite. I somehow is still reminding me of Fairy Market. It's like a sweet greenery that I can't stop huffing! This is one of those scents that I think is brilliant!! But I know I'd never reach for if I had it in 5ml so..I'm happy with trying out the imp.

Ooooh Indian Musk = It's a pity it's not there very long though. It fades quite quick and I'm left with a masculine, fresh and kinda watery/aquatic blend. Not too in your face masculine though. It smells familiar for some reason but I don't konw where I've smelled it before. A girl could definitately wear this..but I think it's tipped towards the male side more. The really dry stages are the best, it's becomes very clean smelling and masculine. Like it, but not my favourite, I wanted the Indian musk to kick ass but it didn't really.

The wet stage of this is really similar to Blood Phoenix on me but much darker. It's grape grape and dark red fruits. Like they've beel cloaked in black velvet. There's other stuff going on too...it's slightly incensey too and there's a sharp floral in there. I really wasn't a fan of Blood Phoenix...and this I'm still on the fence..it's definately better than BP but still that overbearing grape note that's risking becoming headachey is turning me off! Let's see how the dry down goes.. Hmmm ok so the grape scariness is going a bit, it's more floral with some fruit. but it's not the grape. It's more pleasant in this stage and still a deep dark red scent. Not going crazy for this one though..

This changes a hell of alot on my skin from wet to dry. The wet stage is deep rich red fruits and lots of flowers (I'm terrible with picking out florals). With an undetone of incense. I can't really detect the red musk and that was the note (together with the plum) that drew me to this scent in the first place. I can just about smell the beeswax underneath too. But it's mainly a rich incensey floral with a bit of plum. It does remind me of another BPAL scent...what is it now....Ah...The haunted Palace. The wet stage of this is kinda like the dry stage of The Haunted Palace on my skin. But less floral! It's just that kinda smell that is very deep and red (As I said before hehe). Ok so the dry stage is a hell of alot different, it's much softer...much sweeter and it feels like there's just the tiniest drop of vanilla in there. I think this is where the beeswax is starting to shine a bit. The mad florals are still there but they have calmed down alot. It still holds on to it's richness but it's more rounded. One of the florals has come forward too and it's gorgeous! It's the same as one of the florals that's in The Unicorn...*Goes to check*...damn..they're not listed. But there is one floral in here that's lovely and soft and sweet!! As it dries further it becomes more and more soft, the incense is dissapearing and it's turning into a gentle scent that's very very nice!!! There's alot going on in here! I much prefer the dry stage of this oil, it's yummy!

Spicy carnation tea! It's light...bright...feminine and fresh. The tea and carnations are most prominent. The white tea makes the carnations very fresh and sparkly, but they still retain some of their spice!!! This is really nice for a floral, I'm not too fond of them that much unless they are really special. But this one is cool. This would be nice for summer, as a maybe a body lotion or a face spritz. A clean crisp tea with a slight spice of carnation.

oooooh so pretty! Can't wait to get it!!!

Yum! Of the 20 something fruits that are in here I'm getting all the tropical ones most and lots of peach! It's such a massive blast of juicy and it's cool! It's like a swirl of fruity goodness that's tart and sweet and fizzyall at the same time. There are so many fruits that it would be impossible for me to identify them all. It's very berry dominated when it's wet for a brief time, then the tropical bunch of fruits come out with kind of a dusty peach note that's quite strong! This is such a fun bright scent to wear and would be brilliant for a hot summer day. I'm gonna save my imp and have a fruit blast when the sun comes out in London. *bounces away*

Gosh...lots of flowers. I'd discovering quickly that any kind of Jasmine just doesn't really like me, and unless it's blended with something sweet it's not something I'm too fond of. It overpowers this blend so much. when it's wet, maybe just a tiny bit of ylang ylang there aswell. Let's see how it goes from there............. Dry down is still a Jasminefest! There are some other elements coming into play though but still be ass whooped by the Jasmine. There is a darkness to this from the Frankincense. And I was really hoping for a more prominent Blackberry vibe... This scent is not for me!

Oooh I do not like this at all. This smells like a chocolate liquer with some coffee and something else not very nice. It's kinda foody but not in a nice way at all. It's very bitter and strange. Get it off get it off!!

Very excited about this one...very excited was I!!! The notes listed are some of my favourite excluding sandalwood. On my skin this is GORGEOUS!!! I knew I'd like it. I think the Mad Tea party collection is fast becoming my favourite bunch. All of the scents have something special about them and this is no exception. Yes..it's vanilla but it's a sweet pea infused vanilla. It's very sweet and feminine but there's just one problem. Where is the throw? arrrgh! This scent is light...very pretty but light. This scent has a creaminess to it that's gorgeous and I can't smell the sandalwood at all yet. When it's dry the sandalwood still hasn't made an appearance on me and the vanilla has backed down alot. (So strange for my chemistry) It's still giving a sweetness to the blend though and the sweet pea is just GAWWWWJUSS!! I lvoe this blend so much and I think with a few applications to build it up a bit the throw would be lovely. It's a nice subtle very very pretty blend that would be lovely for day to day wear at work. DING DING WINNER!!

2007 version (Just for the record). Hmm what can I say that hasn't been said before. The first thing will be that this blend proves how much of a true master Beth is at her passion! This is the realest red rose, the perfect balance of flower & greenery. It's like stems and petals and it's brilliant. It's not something I would wear often which is why I just hunted down an imp to smell this talked about blend! It's very true to it's description...genius...
