Sed Non Satiata Well..... What can I say that someone else hasn't said already... Nothing really. To me there is definatley a nutty undertone to this scent! The honey and the nuttiness are underlying the whole time with this gorgeous complex smell on top! It's very hard to pick the notes out, I can't smell patchouli or geranium at all. This is another scent which has changed over the weeks that I've worn it. At first there was a definate stronger nutty tone, that has calmed down a bit and my body chemistry had balanced things out a bit! It's very sexy, It kind of reminds me of a mix between Snake Oil and Skuld. Very nice and I've had loads of Compliments at work about it! ETA: 11 months down the line, I have recieved another imp of this. I've completley fallen in love. This is going on my bottle wishlist and into my top 10!!!! It's Gawjuss! It's like sexy nuts. haha.

Firstly, I just wanted to comment on the amount of Throw this oil had on me, WOW! It literally lasted all day and night from one application. It's the first oil that's done that. So ok, When it's first applied, I get Gardenia and The leather I think. I don't get any rose at all, while wet or when it's dry, or the cinnamon. When it's dry that's when the vetiver and Jasmine make an appearance. It's very strange smelling when it's first applied, almost medicinal or something but that changes. LOADS of throw, I was very impressed with how long it lasted! I wouldn't buy a bottle though, There's something quite odd about it.

Some of your UK cohorts can probably answer more specifically as to what specific wait times have been like lately, but generally, I would guess that an order placed late this month would likely be in your hands by early February. Of course, as you can probably guess if you read through this thread, a lot can depend on other factors, such as whether there is a component issue with anything that you order, whether there is an update around the same time (Beth's been making some noise about squeezing another installment of the Carnaval in before the end of the year, so a crush of orders around the same date tends to slow things down by a week or so...but I wouldn't guess that absent some bizarre curcumstance you would be looking at more than 4-8 weeks. But that's all unofficial like. Thank you very much! Oooh it's my first order, way excited! I'll just try to forget about them (if that's possible) and get a nice surprise when they arrive!

Hello all you lovely helpful people... I'm gonna place my first order on the 22nd of Dec, now, I know this is way close to Xmas and don't expect a fast turn around, to add to that I'm in the U.K eek! Will it still be around 2 months or am I looking at waaaaay longer do you think? Sorry if it's been asked before! x x

BLOOD Well...... Lovely! In the imp and when first applied it's Cherry Cherry Cherry with a bit of Dragon's blood and the smallest hint of clove, I don't smell myrrh at all. The cherry Dissapears really really quickly for me, shame, but it doesn't go completley, it leaves behind a tiny bit of sweetness but not too much. What's left is a really nice soft, sweet version of Dragon's blood, Still no myrrh and the clove has gone now too! It's really nice, but wouldn't say it's my favourite Dragons Blood blend.

Black Lotus Eeep, this one is a strange one!. When it's first applied, it's sweet like berries (kinda like blackberry I think), It's sort of nice, but something is ruining it. When it dries a bit, it's still sweet like berries, but there's something really bitter behind taking away the sweetness, it's still ruining it for me. It's trying to be sweet but something dark and sinister is winning the fight. It's like trick bubblegum or something. And it's really off putting. Only when it dries can I smell the sandalwood which is pleasant but.... I had to go through a lot of unpleasantness first. I definately don't like it! Sorry black Lotus... it's not often I find a scent that I don't like, but you are indeed poisoness to me!

Penitence Well firstly, just wanted to say.... I did love this oil before an evil bouncer in a club took it off me at the door, claiming I wasn't allowed to take any liquid into the club! Argh! I only got to wear it twice, but how lovely it was. This smell is so Christmassy, and boy did it have alot of throw!. The frankinsense was the predominant note for me, with a bit of spice which was absolutely beautiful. Such a shame it was snatched from my grasp so early on. Not really much else to say, sorry, Ouch!

Dreamland Hmm well.... unfortunately for me (And you I suppose) the only note I would have been able to recognise would have been the Carnation, and I can't even smell that!!!! This is another one of those scents for me.. that is very smooth and doesn't morph at all during wear. Having said that, it's really nice actually. It smells yellow to me (if that makes sense) Yellow flowers, and it's very creamy and musky and light. I suppose it is a kind of dreamy smell, quite comforting. Also like a few people have said, there isn't much throw really, it just kinda fades after a little while. Overall, A nice fluffy floral that I can't pick any notes out of (sorry peeps) I wouldn't buy a bottle, it's very feminine indeed, but people at work seemed to say it was nice on me so... I suppose that's something.

So So So nice!, God I didn't expect this to be this nice. Someone near the top said it smelling like a more complex Snake Oil and I wholeheartedly agree! It's very very soft with a beautiful spicy edge to it. A bit more masculine than Snake Oil definately. Unfortunately I can't pick any notes out individually, but there is a very sharp citrus smell when it's first applied (Probably the neroli or Bergamot) Then it's just gorgeous all the way until it fades. Try it if you like snake oil! X X X X

RAKSHASA Well I kinda have a few different things to say about this scent, but before I say about the smell, I just wanna say that after wearing this for a week, I now truly believe that a perfume/oil can actually morph to your body chemistry, It's kinda like it get's to know you! I thought this happened with Cassanova, but wasn't sure if I was going mad or not! Ok so anyway, When I first applied (before the strange morphing) I get an orangy rose scent, The orange is more like orange blossom than orange the fruit, I think it smells like "Jaffa Cakes" (not sure if you guys get them in the US but hey! This stage is beautiful but unfortunately it only lasts for literally 10 or 20 seconds then poof, it's gone, my body must just eat it! After that the sandalwood starts to come out almost immediatley, with only the tinyest hint of Patchouli, and it kind of stays like that until the end. HOWEVER............. After about 4 days of wearing it, it changed. I still get the beautiful orange blossom for 20 seconds, but after dry down... occasionally, and only very occasionally (almost rarely lol) I get this lovely incensey note that comes out of nowhere. I wish it stayed more like this for longer but nevermind. This is when I actually understood the whole, Indian Demon relevance, because it did occasionally waft this indian incense smell! YAY! The one thing that is bad about Rakshasa is it has absolutely no throw on me whatsoever, had to re apply about every 45 minutes! Bum!

Sugar Skull This smells exactly like brown sugar on the verge of being burned. Gloopy, sticky brown sugar that's stuck to your fingers. It's extremely powerful. I don't get any candied fruits whatsoever unfortunately, shame because that could have been interesting. It's a lovely sweet smell but not something that I think should be worn as a fragrance, maybe in a burner at christmas or something. Sweet Sweet Sweet x x

Czernobog Hmm..... Wet, this is not very nice at all, smells alot like disinfectant or something, but when it dries, there is this real musky smell that has this animal edge to it with a bit of fire also. It's horrible to say but it's almost like animal sweat or something! This scent should have been called wolf's sweat or Stag or something along those lines. Hee! It does dry quite nicely though, after a while the animal sorta smell goes away and it's just very musky and calm. But still not a blow you away with gorgeousness kinda thing. It's definitely masculine though, which is probably why most people here are not too keen! I would not buy a bottle of this at all.

Well what can I say? This is absolutely gorgeous! It seems to me by other peoples reviews, that this is a scent that's gonna love ya or hate ya. IT LOVES ME!!!!! A colleague of mine did try it also and it smelled like urine on her (So weird) On me though.......... At first the ylang ylang is the most predominant note with the honey behind. Sooo nice. Like a honeyed flower. But after about 15 minutes it turns into such a comforting smell it's unbeleivable. It's like a lovely feathery soft, honey musk. I can't believe it smelled so horrible on my friend. It's almost edible to me. I can't understand how some people got a grape scent from this, it's crazy hehe! Maybe I'm the odd one out. Isn't body chemistry a funny thing? X X X X

My review completely agrees with yours, It's stuck between being a fruity smell and a floral smell to me. It gives me such a headache when I sniff it. This is the first BPAL scent that's been too much, even for me. It does smell like a department store perfume, almost like the scent of them all together. That smell you get when you walk into a perfume shop. I did get the incensey note that some people have mentioned, but it was only once and for about five seconds. If that had stayed, I would have changed my mind, but no, it just keeps on being a pungent, nose burner. The only other thing I would say is that it does not evoke the image of Baba Yaga who lives in a crazy chicken house thing in the forest. It's more bright than that. Maybe this is why it was unreleased! Mine's been given away to a friend.

Ok, Kathmandu for me was a bit of a dissapointment. When first applied, as many have said it defiantely smells like Vicks Vapo Rub. But this quickly fades away completely on me and morphs into a very light woodsey smell reminiscent of Cathedral and Midnight Mass. It doesn't really change much after that for me unfortunatley, it just stays smelling like a gently wood. No incense at all, but this happened with Cathedral too, maybe incense doesn't like me which is a shame because I want it to . Shame, glad I got to try it though!
