In the imp the Queen of Hearts does smell very cherry-ish and cordial like, but it changed once it hit my skin. The florals from the Lillies came through much more and while the cherry is still there it moves to the background and becomes much softer. It turns into a really pretty, elegant and soft scent. My only issue is it's lasting power, it fades quie quickly but I've found putting a small amount into the ends of my hair makes it last longer and gives it better throw. It's the perfect scent for the Queen of Hearts, without the cherry in it the florals could become soapy and powdery but the cherry adds something extra and makes it quite unique. I loved it so much I ordered a bottle.

I am starting to realize that fruity florals from BPAL work well for me I love Persephone, in the imp it smells sweet - like roses and candy, but in a grown up and classy way. On my skin it doesn't change much. When first applied it smells like a rose in full bloom mixed with the sweet, fruitiness of the Pomegranate. It lasts quite well and stays like this for a few hours, after that the fruitiness fades and the rose stays. I find it quite an energizing scent, one that would be great for a hot summer day but I can imagine it would be great all year round. Overall, very nice and I am seriously considering getting a bottle.

So far I am figuring out that foody scents do not mix well with my skin chemistry and my skin amps up any kind of spiciness. It smells wonderful in the imp - like a winter pudding/dessert with caramel rum sauce - very yummy. Hellcat somehow goes a little wrong on my skin, and smells quite sickly sweet ... I'm not sure if there is any spice in this but it dries down to be a mix of ginger/caramel/cinnamon but not combining together in a good way. A little too foody for me. It's a very rich, strong scent with good throw and good for winter, it has the potential to grow on me. I gave the imp to my mum, who loves it and it smells perfect on her - I asked her what she was wearing one day and it was Hellcat but it was unrecognisable compared to the way that it smells on me. On her it smelt warm, soft and creamy. Oh well, at least it went to someone who loved it

In the imp this smells very woody to me, I can also smell the musks coming through and the sharpness of the mandarin, its definately very dry. This softens once its on my skin, and becomes slightly sweeter with the honeydew coming through. It still smells dry and desert-y, with the wood and musks being the dominant notes for me. I find that this dries down to smell very similar to Shedonism by Origins. But shedonism is slighty more floral and has some coconut in it. Overall, nice but not for me and smells too similar to another perfume I have.

The Red Queen really doesn't smell good on me, at any stage. It starts out with very strong cherry. After 10-15 minutes the woods start to come out, but they are quite dry and dusty on me. I generally find that wood notes don't work on me. So, in the end I get the smell of strong, dusty wood with a hint of cherry. They make an unusual combination I have heard that this is really nice aged so I will hold onto the imp and test it again in a few months.

Alice was one of my first imps and it is a very pretty and soft scent. In the imp it smells like lollies combined with flowers and almond essence. When first applied it has a sweet but spicy scent, I don't get any milk from it ... but definately the bergamot and tea. When it dried down it became even softer and the rose came through more. It is a pretty and innocent scent - exactly the way that I would imagine Alice to have smelt. ETA: Alice has become one of my favorites and gets worn regularly. Over time, I don't consider it to smell as young and innocent as I used too - it smells more womanly to me now.

I tried Defututa today and I thought that I would really love it - the honey, cinnamon and vanilla sound warm but soft at the same time. When first applied to my skin all I can smell is cinnamon, a hot peppery kind of cinnamon - that is really strong. After about 1/2 an hour the main note is still cinnamon but the vanilla and honey are coming through to add a bit of sweetness and the sandalwood is adding a really strange element in the background. It had really good staying power and I could still smell traces of it on my skin after my shower. Overall, the cinnamon in this is way to overpowering on my skin. I like warm scents but for some reason the cinnamon becomes too strong and almost medicine like on me. I can imagine it would be nice in an oil burner around winter because it is quite warm and spicy It's a nice scent but I think that cinnamon does something strange to my skin.
