    Envy

This smells like spearmint and eucalyptus on me. I get a hint of lavender in the background. This is a refreshing and relaxing scent, and could definitely work as a sleep oil. I like this but I probably wouldn't wear it as a perfume. It's something that would smell great as a bath oil or shower gel, I think I'm going to add a few drops of this to my next bath.

    Ravenous

This was a frimp from the lab, I tried it on without knowing what was in it. It turned into a soapy, powdery floral on me. After seeing that it has orange blossom in it, I can see why because orange blossom doesn't work on me at all. I don't get any patchouli from this at all.
  3. I second the recommendation for High Strung Daisies, that has to be one of the sweetest scents I have tried. I find the Knave of Hearts and Tis the Voice of the Lobster to be quite sweet to my nose too. I have also found the 13 from April and Pink Moon 2012 to be sweet, I think it's because of the white chocolate.

    Kubla Khan

Through sunlit caves of ice, roses unfurl amidst dancing waves of serpentine opium smoke and amber tobacco, golden sandalwood, champaca, tea leaf, sugared lily, ginger, rich hay absolute, leather, dark vanilla, mandarin, peru balsam, and Moroccan jasmine. I can smell the mandarin, tea and ginger in this - there is a slight hint of florals in the background. I really like the ginger note in this, it's light and not overpowering like it can be in some other blends. On me, this is a fresh, clean scent. I don't find it masculine at all. I like it, but as it dries down there is something in this which smells slightly like plastic on me - not sure where it is coming from, perhaps its the leather.

'Tis The Voice Of The Lobster

This was a frimp from the lab. I tried it on without knowing the notes - this starts out with alot of watermelon and what I thought was a woodsy note. Not sure where that is coming from. It turns into a light watermelon scent, as it dries I can detect the gardenia which doesn't work with my skin chemistry at all. In this scent though it is mostly overpowered by the watermelon. Overall, this is a fruity, summery scent. It's a bit too sweet for me though.

I have been looking for a magnolia scent and I have finally found it. This is a very heady magnolia on me. At first I got alot of honeyed peaches and I was worried that this would be too sweet for me. After 10-15 minutes or so the magnolia really comes out and the peaches move to the background. I think this smells better after it has been given a bit of time to settle in your skin. This reminds a bit of Hells Belle - because they both have magnolia.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

At first, I get alot of sandalwood from this. As it dries down the vanilla and amber come out, I don't get any sweetpea (one of my favourite florals) at all. This is very subtle and pretty. A mix of sandalwood, vanilla and amber. The amber doesn't turn powdery on me either. I can imagine wearing this often and I think that it would work as an everuday perfume. This could quickly become a favorite. ETA: The longer that I wear this, the more that I can smell the sweetpea. All the notes blend together perfectly.

    Ceanothus Silkmoth

Even though I generally dislike citrus notes, I wanted to try this because I like everything else in it. From start to finish this is mostly jasmine on me, I get a hint of orange in the background. It works well with the jasmine though because it adds freshness. I find the jasmine in this to be quite delicate and soft. Overall, this is really well blended. I wish that some of the other notes came through in this blend for me like the vanilla, but the jasmine definitely dominates the other notes. This reminds me of hot, summer nights. I really like it

    Poisson d'Avril

On me, this is a classic floral - the sugar and honey are really just a touch in this blend for me. I can detect a hint of honey and sugar if I press my nose up to my wrist, otherwise this is all spring flowers. It is perfect for spring and summer, very light and feminine. I find that it reminds me of a department store perfume that I used to wear, I just can't remember which one! This tends to fade quite fast on me though. Overall, I generally like florals and this one is no exception.

    Scherezade

This is all red musk on me, much muskier than I expected. It's a spicy kind of musk, but it's not heavy. It's actually quite light and I could imagine wearing it in summer - it's warm and exotic.

    Haunted

This is really lemony! I can see how other people can compare this to Shalimar because they do smell similar. I like Shalimar so this is ok with me. It dries down to smell like lemon and amber, with a hint of musk. I expected this to become less lemony over time, but it stays. I like it though, and I think that it will probably grow on me even more. I'll be interested to see what this is like aged.

    Sheol

This is a strong, heady scent. It starts out quite floral and then as it dries I get alot of the labdanum, which has a tendency to be quite sharp on me. I find this scent to strong for my tastes - but I am happy that I tried it.

    Against Idleness and Mischief

I get honey and chamomile from this. It starts out with mostly honey but the chamomile comes out more as it dries. It starts to smell quite herbal after a while. On the dry down it becomes a clean, green scent with a hint of honey. It's quite refreshing but starts to become powdery and fades quite quickly on me.

    Lady Una

Honey musk, green tea leaf, blackberry leaf, vanilla bean, and fae spices. This is really lovely. It's mostly honey, blackberry & green tea on me. I was nervous about the tea because it often doesn't work on me but here it is balanced by the sweetness of the honey. This is light and fresh, it seems like quite a summery scent to me. I get the slightest hint of spices and vanilla. The vanilla comes out more as it dries down. Lasts for quite a while, but stays close to the body. I really like this and think that I will be wearing it alot Edited to Add: I wore this yesterday and it lasted the whole day - the final dry down of this is one of the loveliest vanilla's I have smelt in a long time.

    Osun

This is all honey and roses - and maybe something fruity. As it dries down it reminds me alot of Persephone. I really like this when it is first applied and I can smell the honey, it becomes a bit too sweet and powdery for me as it dries though. Overall, its nice just especially at first it just becomes quite sweet over time.

    Hunger

This was a frimp from the lab, I was a little hesitant to try it because orange blossom is one of my least favorite notes. It has a bitter, soapy smell on me and my skin amps it. Initially, this reminds me of Vixen but without the patchouli. The orange blossom is definitely the most dominant note on my skin. However, the soapiness is toned down and softened by the vanilla. I think that they make quite a complimentary combination. I'm not sure what black Narcissus smells like but I am mostly getting orange blossom with the slightest hint of vanilla. Overall, this was better than other blends that I have tried with orange blossom - the vanilla tones it down and stops it from smelling overly soapy. This would probably smell great on someone else and people who like blends like Vixen might also like Hunger.

    Love Me

Love Me was so different from what I was expecting. It sounds like it smells really different on me from the other reviewers. I get alot of Patchouli and Sandalwood from this, I don't get anything sweet or spicy or vanilla-ish - I don't even get florals like other reviewers have. It smells really dry and dusty on me kind of like saw-dust. There is something in this which doesn't agree with me at all. I had to wash it off.

    Languor

An opiate torpor, soporific, trancelike, and sublimely languid. A poet’s morphine dream, a listless journey into a gentle dream and the precipice of intoxicated madness. Paperwhite and black narcissus, three lilies, black poppy and tuberose and a hint of hypnotic opium den haze. Languor starts out as a dark, heady floral. It reminds me alot of Black Lily. There is something quite sharp in this at the beginning - perhaps the Poppy or Narcissus? As it dries down it softens a bit, but it still remains quite a sophisticated blend. I can definitely smell the opium in this, I think that my skin amps it.

    Bengal

I can't believe how much this smells exactly like chai tea! This starts out pretty strong - with a dry kind of cinnamon, and drys down into a chai like scent. It's nice, I like the smell of chai But, I think it's a bit too foody for me to wear. I will hold onto it and test it again, there might be certain times when I am in the mood for wearing this kind of scent.

    Seraglio

This started out as a very powerful almond scent. Completely changed in the dry down though. This is a blend that turns powdery on me. The orange peel and roses take over as this drys down. Seraglio is a very exotic smelling blend, it definitely changes over time.

Ginger scents & the different types of ginger notes

Likewise, I love Ginger Essence too From BPAL you could try Siren: Bewitching, tantalizing and dangerously seductive. A thrilling, exotic blend — deceptively sweet, but spiked with malice. White ginger, jasmine, and a touch of vanilla and apricot.

    romantique delicate flower bouquets

From Ars Moriendi. Eternal: Stephanotis, cyclamen, heliotrope, white rose and gardenia. This was almost my perfect floral, but I just can't wear Gardenia. You might like Queen of Hearts: Lily of the Valley, Calla Lily, stephanotis and a drop of cherry. it's one of my favorites. You might also like Lillium Inter Spinas: Hibiscus syriacus, white sandalwood, lily of the valley, apple blossom, and green fig. London: Venerable Victorian Tea Rose… twisted, blackened and emboldened with wickedness. I like florals too (as longs as they don't contain Gardenia!)

    Honey and Floral Blends?

For sweet florals I would recommend Titania and La Belle au Bois Dormant. She might like Persephone or Kitsune Tsuki If she likes honey then she might like Skuld: Ylang ylang, honey, Egyptian and Arabian musks and labdanum. I just tried it and it's a sweet, clean honey on me.

When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

Thanks for the suggestion, I will have to try it. Amber sometimes turns powdery on me but it sounds really good

    The Knave of Hearts

This starts out very, very sweet. Luckily, the sweetness fades a little bit. As it dries I can't believe how much this scent actually resembles pastry and roses. It smells like real baking! A strong scent that lasts for ages, and very true to it's description.
