I was fortunate enough to get this from an Ebay auction that I won. Bottle, this smelled wonderful. Of mints and chilled air. Wet, the same as it was in the bottle! YES! I love mints and it tends to love me back in a big way. Drying down, this smooths out and becomes a more creamy mint, with a splash of eucalyptus and florals, I'm guessing the lunar oils coming out to play since I smell them in every Lunancy blend I've tried. This stays fairly crisp and clean hours later. I was typing and was totally absorbed when I caught a whiff of something that was really nice. It sort of brings to mind a bit of Nuclear Winter. The way it's a chilled scent. I sort of crave a mint martini in a frosted glass now. It's wonderful for those clear nights where you go stargazing with a loved one. It's a bit cool outside and you snuggle closer, content to let the silence and the beauty of starlight wash over you as they twinkle down and the city lights blink.

Mmmm....My Birthday Moon . I just had to have it! And the label art is absolutely adorable. It makes me wish I bought a Holiday Moon tee. In the bottle, GREEEEEEEN! Like...sparkly, citrus-y HI I'M HERE sort of green. Wet, Mmmmm...a burst of tea and more green with lots of zesty and happy notes. There's something in there that is reminiscent and familiar. I don't know what it is but it's very lovely. Drying down, it smells a bit floral but still lively and fresh. I keep getting flashbacks to my childhood days when I got to play hide and seek in the bamboo patch in my godparents' backyard. I think that reminiscent scent is bamboo. And it smells so good on me. It almost makes me wish I bought a second bottle. I think I'll just scoop up a few more imps since this is definately one of my favorite scents!

I just had to try this out the same time as the King of Clubs. In the imp, sweet!!! Wet on the back of one wrist, a refreshing burst of currant and pomegranite!! YUM. Compared to the KoC on the other wrist, the Queen has a lighter, sweeter scent. Almost dainty but still regal. Drying down, the florals come out and balance the berry scent which is making me love this scent more and more. I've been wearing it for over 6 hours and I keep catching wafts of it that makes me smile, straighten my back, and sniff my wrist. Definately one of my top favorite LEs!

I was fortunate to get this from someone in alchemylab on LJ. In the imp, musky!!! I get some berry hints but a lot of musk! Wet, WOW. This is a strong, in your face scent for all of a minute. Then I get a burst of figs and berries, and musk. Drying down, the leather and vetiver notes come out to play. Vetiver and I get along but it was the first time I've tried a scent with leather. Wow. It's such a masculine scent on me (I'm more of a florals/aquatics person) but this scent is very sexy. It makes me wish I had a boyfriend to put this on and then ravish. After a few hours, the leather scent is the most prominent and makes me want to layer it with a floral to sweeten it up. It's a wonderful scent but definately one I forsee being layered or swapped.

The last of four imps I bought from someone on the boards (whom I can't remember off the top of my head. :-( ) In the imp, strong citrusy scent. Wet, whoa! A huge burst of musk and vanilla. Drying down, the orange note hovers under the many layers for me. I think my skin tends to amp up amber and musk but this scent reminds me of Sol which I love. It's very resiny and musky and quite warm. I think I would love wearing this when I'm off snowboarding and getting whiffs of this to warm myself up while waiting for the ski lifts. The rose never appeared and my skin adores the rose scents, so I'm a tad disappointed with that. It truly is a beautiful blend and smells wonderful on me. I'm just not sure if I would wear an entire bottle's worth. I think I'll just treasure my imp and maybe hunt down another imp down the line.

The second of the DiMV that I've tried. In the imp, Mmmmmm.....dreamy white flowers! Wet on the back of the wrist, a heady shot of lilies and tuberose. Very strong and intense! Drying down, after a few minutes, the intensity calms and develops into a beautiful, beautiful floral blend. The tuberose is still strong on me but it's being balanced by the lilies. The musk comes out to play and softens everything up some more and just makes this a gorgeous, gorgeous scent. Looking at my collections of scents, Dreamland is most likely the one scent I would wear to my best friend's wedding (as I'm her bridesmaid). Must get a bottle of this asap! p.s. I wore this before going to bed and I woke up after the most refreshing sleep ever! And I'm currently recovering from a bout with a nasty flu so this scent totally made my night!

This is one of the first DiMV scents I rushed to try. In the imp, it smells very floral. I smell lilies and sweet pea. Wet on my wrist, it's a burst of sweet pea and something green underneath. Drying down, the scent is absolutely lovely. A bit powdery but I guess that's the peony? But I love the scent of sweet pea that's bursting through since that is one of my favorite floral scents. The throw calms down and I keep getting whiffs of it as I work and shuffle papers and grab books which makes me smile despite fighting a nasty flu. It lingers too. Mmmm. Definately keeping my bottle of this! I can't wait to wear this in the spring!

What a wonderful thread! My best friend's younger sister is going to be married at the end of April '06 and I'm in the wedding party. I would love some advice as to what to get the beautiful bride. I wanted to get her several bottles as part of a wedding gift and perhaps give imps as party favors for her bachelorette party (in which we're doing a spa day and a tea party, complete with hats, for her bridal party). Her wedding is going to be at a small bread & breakfast and full of pretty spring flowers and fruit, decorated in Tiffany Blue and a light pink. So I'm thinking...Rose Red? Antique Lace? I know she likes the lighter florals so I may also get her a bunch of imps along with the bottles to try. What scents do you think will fit? ~ jemz

I recieved this as a frimp and it was one of the scents on my wishlist. In the imp, I smelled a fresh, dewy floral. So far so good. Wet, a strong burst of florals came out. Carnations and sweet pea....and a bit of lilies? All the florals I've tried love my skin and this blend was no different. Drying down, the initial burst of scent had mellowed out and dries into a cool, soft scent. It reminds me of those early morning walks that I used to do in the springtime, when the sun began to rise and everything was wet with fresh dew. A beautiful, innocent, scent that lingers. Definately a scent that I'll be wearing when spring comes again or when I'm off to tea parties with my young nieces. Not a bottle for me but I'll enjoy the imp.

This one I got because I remember the days of waking up early to watch my cousins tease their hair upwards towards great heights with large amounts of hairspray. Plus, I was curious to see how champagne would smell like on me. In the bottle, WOW. I get Aquanet and more Aquanet! Wet, still more Aquanet! But hints of musk, ylang-ylang, and fizzy champagne comes out. Drying down, it's more effervescent and filled with lots of bubbles before slowly fizzing away to a sweeter, heady floral. It settles into a more powdery floral after an hour. Very nice. Dry, it's settled to a retro sort of perfume. Definately reminds me the 80s and the era of strong, floral perfumes that waft after a person. I only dabbed it lightly on the back of my hand and it's still going strong several hours later. So the throw on me is amazingly long. I'm used to reapplying my scents after 4-5 hours since I tend to wear lighter scents. This scent is definately heavier than I would normally wear and is utterly perfect for a glitzy, glamorous night out on the town. Definately something I would wear if I was going to parties in limos, drinking expensive champagne, and dressed in something tight and slinky. I look forward to wearing this on New Year's Eve!

Ahh...the first catalog scent I tried. I recieved this as a frimp when I was purchasing a lunacy blend. In the bottle, it smells intensely berry and a slight hint of green foilage. Wet, it's bursting dark, red berries on my skin! yummm! Drying down, the intensity of the berries calm slightly when I start smelling some greenery coming out. While wearing this, I had this vision of dark, ripened berries nestled against dark green leaves that was waiting to be plucked. Hours later, I still get whiffs of the sweetness of berries. It's still dark and intense but I love it. Definately a bottle of this for me.

Lick It starts out with a huge burst of peppermint on me. I adore mints and this blend was no exception. It dried down to a creamy vanilla mint that made me lift my arm to smell every 5 seconds. I'm sure my family thinks I'm going bonkers but this scent is just wonderful. I don't think I can add anything else that hasn't been said. Definately am getting another bottle of this wonderful Yule scent!

Nuclear Winter was one of the few I was eager to try when I received my order. In the bottle, it smelled very icy and aquatic. Wet, I smelled a burst of mint and a bit of ozone. Very cold but calming. Drying down, I love the way it dries. It's like after an icy blast of wintry coldness was being tempered by the recovering earth. I smell a bit of woods coming out, calm and serene. Hours later, the scent has amazing staying power. It's soothing and I get wafts of smelly goodness that makes me crave more. All in all, this is a scent that I MUST have more bottles of and is one of my favorite Yule scents by far.

heh. My first review. Pink Phoenix is something I was iffy on trying since normally I'm an aquatics/florals sort of person. In the bottle, the word PINK jumped out at me. Wet, it smelled of strawberries. Pure, sugar-covered strawberries. I think I smelled a bit of pear in there as well. Drying down, the strawberries calmed down a bit with the vanilla making it a bit more creamy. I'm not very good at picking out scents but the scent mellowed out to a sweet pea sort of scent. I adore sweet pea and I was excited to smell the sweet pea come out to play. Hours later, the scent still wafts up to my nose as I'm working and is absolutely wonderful. The throw (I think that's the correct term for intensity...??) is quite nice on me. Not too strong but not too faint. Definately a keeper!
