Very interesting! In the bottle, this smelled quite astringent... astringent to the point it hit my nose and I couldn't identify anything else about it. As soon as I put it on, however, the smell turned very, very green and tart... lime like the others have been saying, but it reminded me of lime rind more than lime flesh. A lovely smell. If it stayed green and limey, I'd be happy, but it starts fading and the lime and green are overtaken by a soft rose. The rose is warm and gentle and not bad... but not me. I like aggressive, bitchy roses like Whip. This smells young and innocent. I am neither. Still... a lovely smell. I might keep it around to use for that once in a blue moon.

So nice! Rich, churchy incense deepened by a gloss, the faintest hint of fruit. It goes on pale, but stretches into something strong and piquant as it's warmed by my skin. Makes me want to loll around in my sheets all day. Although I don't think this smells "masculine," per se, it's definitely something that a man could wear as well. Beautiful.

Fig, fig, fig, and rice flower. Mid-range throw, but fades out very quickly into almost nothing. A faint hint of rice flower remains which is not my favorite scent. I was excited about this one because I like herby scents, but I didn't catch them at all. Even if it remained figgy over rice flowery, I'm not sure I'd dig this. This particular fig seems fussy and over-sweet to me. Not my favorite in the Last Unicorn line (which otherwise, has been a BIG hit for me.)

In the bottle this smelled like straight-up honey to me. Certainly not unpleasant, but nothing that wowed me, either. After I put it on, and it had a chance to warm up and react with my body chemistry, this turned into a warm, honeyed, musky vanilla. I've read through some of the other reviews, and this doesn't smell like sex to me (other than being musky). To me it's sensual rather than sexual. It beckons and envelops and entices. I really like it. It's the kind of smell that I'd enjoy on my sheets as I curled up to read a book in bed or to cuddle with Husband. I'm probably not going to order a big bottle of it now, but that's primarily because I'm a N00b, and I'm still working my way through the catalog of BPAL scents. I could very easily see coming back around in six months time and adding this to my permanent collection. Edited to add: After wearing this for about four hours, the smell is starting to bother me. It's changed further, and has become flat vanilla candle. Not bad, but not for me.

An unexpected winner. The first time I wore it, I liked it, but wasn't very enthusiastic. It goes on like a Christmas candle or potpourri. Saddened, I washed it off and tried a different fragrance, sure that SDPU1 was going to be a swing and a miss. Luckily, I tried it again. I put it on right before going to work, and within a couple of hours, the strong pine had mellowed, and let the spice and plummyness (?) come through. It's so enticing. Me and my husband can't get enough of it. By hour five, it's warm and glowy and sexy. Sadly, it's not a permanent scent within the BPAL world. Just a sample from a trunk show. I snorfled up a second bottle, just in case. Anybody know of any similar scents in the BPAL catalog?
