I LOVE this!!! If you are a foodie lover, pounce on this!! In the bottle.... it is a chocolate cookie!! SOOO good. I have been waiting for a chocolate based HG and this is amazing! In my damp hair... it gets better! I get the marshmallow and chocolate with the perfect crust!! To me, this is like Boo, Bliss, and some Chocolate Espresso Gingerbread had a naughty three way and this was the result of a careless night! This is totally back-up bottle worthy. It is sweet but I love it that way!!! Update: Been a couple hours and this is still going strong!! Don't think I need to put on any perfume to be honest!! I think I need to try the perfume oil in this though, but yeah... I can smell this all around me still!!

Got a decant of this.... sniffing, I, too, get the cocoa and sweet fig. Smells great! However, when I apply it to my hair, I am guessing it is the copal I am smelling, not sure what that actually smells like, but I also get no fig or cocoa anymore. It almost smells like a real nice cleaning product. It isn't bad, but a bit too masculine for me.

In the bottle: I get a real awesome chocolate note... this is different than other choco notes. This one seems extra creamy. They mostly seem to have a powder type smell to them, but this one doesn't! On Skin: I am always worried about any honey note, because they just don't work on me! But this is very sweet, but it is....balanced! That's the best I can come up with. All blended real well, and no problems with the honey note! Dry down: This has a medium throw on me, and this is really pretty!! If you are worried about overly foody blends, this isn't that. It has a subtle sweetness... it's present, but it isn't cloying!! I detect the chocolate and it stays real creamy and sweet!!!

Agree fully with what Absinthetics says... sniffing it in the decant, there is a warm, spicy carnation. But to me, it is very nice as I am not a fan of any kind of floral notes, this is a beauty! Sprayed, it does warm up and I get that soft boozy note, and I almost get something that is almost cherry, but the hearth wood spice balances it out. I love this! Almost wish it was a hair gloss!!

Our boots and clothes are all in pawn! Go down ye blood red roses, go down! A Little Pirate’s indulgence: rum cupcakes and vanilla ice cream with a hot toddy. Can't compare this to the perfume, since boozy scents seem to not work on me, but I had to try the HG! In bottle: Buttery rum cupcakes! YUM! In damp hair: This is actually quite a light scent... I get the rum and cupcake scent right away! I detect the smallest hint of coconut, but that might just be my brain wanting to connect rum with coconut! I don't get "toddy" out of this, but the vanilla and rum cupcake, YES! Very little throw, but it yummy nonetheless! This, to me, would make a great summery HG.

In the bottle: Yep....a blast of Irish Cream! Reminds me of opening a bottle of Bailey's! On skin: Mmm...I am always a bit leery about any booze scents, but Irish Cream is one that I always thinks smells great, and this, so far smells great. I get the Irish Cream and it warms up a bit and I detect a hint of cake behind it. I am not getting coffee cake out of this, but there is that sweet cake note mixing nicely with the Irish Cream. Dry down: I really like this! Might be the cake note, but it gets a bit powdery on me, but not bad...low throw on this one and I can tell it's already fading a bit but this is a keeper!! I am looking forward to seeing how this might age!

In the bottle: VERY yummy ginger-y chocolate! Very sweet and festive! On Skin: I get something ginger-y/orange-y out of this immediately. Not getting a lot of chocolate out of this on my wrist. Drydown: Stays the same...medium throw, but very holiday to me. This is yummy, but doesn't seem to last long on me either. Will see if this gets better.

Fresh out of the mailbox!! In bottle : Very beautiful leather.... it is soft which I was hoping for. Also that hint of ink. I love leather scents, but if they are too overbearing, then it borders on too masculine. On Skin : This warms up nicely and I get the ink, leather, and manuscript. Not notebook paper, but like someone said above, it has that old feel to it. Dry down: Stays true...ink gets a bit pale, but it's present. I get the leather bound smell. Amazing how Beth does it. It has low throw and stays close to the skin. It is a lovely scent. I think this is unisex, but a hair more towards for the guys. I don't get "ghostly chill" out of this, but it is a lovely, old leather bound pages. Almost like the smell of a worn leather wallet!

Hanerot Halalu - olive oil, beeswax, and smoke Protagoras - smoldering scrolls and melted wax tablets The Manuscript - (this is now available) - leather and paper and splotches of ink Burning Book - no notes on this one.

In bottle: Yep, that does smell like The Other Hot Chocolate. On skin: Very creamy, marshmallow topped hot cocoa! If I remember, TOHC on me was sharper.... more powdery cocoa. This is tame and light. Think the marshmallows "mellow" it out. Not that usual baking cocoa I usually get with chocolate notes. Very nice! Dry down: This is so yummy and cozy. Very creamy and soft hot cocoa! Glad it is more of a true milk chocolate than the powder cocoa. Up above, someone mentioned that there were "flakes" in the oil... I don't have that. Clean and clear. Medium throw on me, and I love this!! If you are one where choco notes go "baking cocoa" on you, try this!! This is perfect warm, milk chocolate! Straight up, with mini marshmallows! No puddles detected on me.

In the bottle: OOh... a wonderful vanilla/coffee scent. Creamy and comforting! On skin: Don't know what more I can add, but this is so amazing!! Very wonderful coffee. Very warm...rich, but not sharp like some coffee notes can be. I get the vanilla note out of this without losing the coffee!! Dry down: Stays close with good throw.... If you love Bah! (and I do) this reminds me of it's softer, mellower version. If you love coffee/vanilla notes, you have to have this. I can see this getting better with age! A winner for sure!!

I fell in LOVE with this... for about 45 minutes!! In bottle: YUMMY yummy spiced pumpkin!! On skin: This is amazing... it is a perfect pumpkin spice cookie! In fact, it is almost like gingerbread to my nose, but it has a great throw!! Dry Down: ok... so, this stayed the same for about 45 minutes and then disaster!! This is a heart breaker for me, like another pumpkin scent I got, it ended up turning more of a vegetable like pumpkin!! Don't know if there was some new ingredient in this year's pumpkins, but they aren't working on me when they usually ALL work great on me. So so sad!!!

In bottle: Yummy pumpkin cream!! Very delicious!! On Skin: Hmm... get no pumpkin at all! It is heavy on me.... lots of throw, but it is a very smoky vanilla. I also get no honey, which is ok with me. Was nervous about that note because we don't get along. Dry Down: Stays a heavy, smoky vanilla. It is real nice, but was hoping for more pumpkin out of this one.

In the bottle: Hmm....at first sniff, I get a buttery, vegetable-like pumpkin. Hope it doesn't stay that way!! On Skin: Get more of the spice coming out... still a hint of butter....could be the cream cheese, but not as sweet as you would think. Still get a bit of the vegetabl-y pumpkin out of this. Dry Down: It gets a bit spicier...not a burning spice, but a nice baking spice. I don't get "cake" out of this yet, but I do get the spice scent IN a spice cake. Still the hint of buttery, vegetable-like pumpkin, but not as strong on as it was sniffing it. Low throw surprisingly.....stays close, but a nice scent. Wish it was a hair stronger and less buttery, but that is the way of BPAL!

In the bottle: Like above, not sure what a candied apple should smell like, but this is a very wet apple scent to start... like sniffing a glass of apple juice! On Skin: Straight up SWEET and sticky apple! Definitely a red apple under the goo, but not sugary sweet. Just sweet! Dry down: Softens a bit but stays the same.... very pure, juicy, sticky covered red apple. Medium throw on me. Not sure if it is for me, but I will wait and see if it changes at all.

In the bottle: Yep, a crisp apple.... seems to be a green apple to my nose. It is very sharp, but in a FRESH apple way...not cloying that some apple scents have done to me before. On Skin: It immediately warms up and softens, a bit....can detect a hint of the clove....a hint of vanilla. Not getting any blackcurrant as of yet. Dry down: To me, it almost smells like Pure Applesauce, but without that tar or tobacco note. It has a low throw on me and stays close to the skin. Seems to be disappearing pretty fast... might let this one sit a while. It ends up being real soft, barely there kind of apple and warm vanilla. Perfect for those who want an apple scent that isn't strong. It is nice.

Can't really add anything different than what was said! In bottle: very creamy milk chocolate!! Can smell the butter-creaminess of it. Like frosting as someone mentioned. On skin: Stays true....gets a little "dry" smelling, but in a good way. Seems some chocolate notes do that to me. Dry down: Low throw on me, but never changes. Pretty much as it says it is. Creamy buttercream chocolate!! Edit to add that I think this would make a great layering note as well, as it is simple and lovely.

In decant: I smell resin and a slight touch of the honey. Could be the dragon blood too...that always smells a bit incense-y to me. In hair: WOW!!! This is so gorgeous... it is a very soft amber/resin that I am getting. I don't get honey or anything nutty, which is good. I was nervous about the honey note. After a few: This has low/medium throw and I love this! It is the perfect incense/amber! It isn't heavy and it isn't just gone that some incense blends can do on me. So glad I got a decant of this!!

This is just a guess, but I am sure you will be fine. Especially if you are driving. I think crossing the border into the states, they just worry about how much alcohol yo would be bringing or cheap meds. I think the perfume will be fine. BUT that is just me.... Just make sure you have your passports up to date, but thinking it won't be an issue.

In bottle: Oooh...lovely apple!! And yes, I agree, it is more of a green apple. So crisp and fresh!! On skin: YUM!! I instantly get the mashed honey apple scent. It is great... the honey note worried me since that note always turns to a dust smell. But not here!! This is such a great apple scent... it is so very Autumn! Dry down: Medium throw and it is a nice, spicy dry apple... in a good way! I don't get tar or tobacco out of it, but maybe that keeps it smelling warm and cozy! If you love apple scents or trying to find that ONE apple scent to make you go WOW.... this is it!! So glad I got a bottle!!! Edit for update: Been a little while and I can't stop sniffing my wrist! It dawned on me, this reminds me of Beaver Moon 2012... but without the "gooey" note! Loving this!!!

In imp: Yep...definitely a "weed" or strong hemp smell. On skin: Oh wow... this warms up immediately on me... I get the smoky vanilla with the hemp and it is gorgeous! Creamy and sexy too! Dry down: Ok.. I need a bottle of this!! If you like the Revenant Rhythm items, you will love this. It is a perfect balance of the hemp and vanilla. This is coming from a person that despises anything hemp/patchouli smelling, and if I love this, just think how it will be for you patch lovers!!! Mmmmm..... perfect! Medium throw and not overbearing.

In the bottle: I can see where some people say "spice" to it. I think that is just the nature of how bittersweet chocolate can smell. I love bittersweet/dark chocolate better than milk chocolate (to eat that is) and this smells just like a good, higher priced chocolate/cocoa to me. On skin: I almost get a peppermint smell to this right away, even though it isn't...but has that something sharp, but just for a second. I get a hint of the cream note and can smell the amazing chocolate in this. Like was said above, this is a sexy kind of chocolate! Dry: It has a medium throw to me and yes, I get a creamy chocolate with something else in the background. I don't know what it is. Maybe a hair of something cologn-y, but it isn't at the same time. It is very amazing and I think this will age nicely! Update: So, after a few hours, I could still smell the cologne-yness about it. Sad because it smelled so good in the bottle and on my skin for a few minutes. Might have to swap away.

Also, the BPAL Halloween scents (or as we lovingly call them, Weenies) will be out sometime soon, so there might be some dirt/leaves scents there as well. Also, check out Black Phoenix Trading Post.....they release Weenie scents too!!!!!

Well, out of the few I got to test, I LOVE Western Diamondback and Boomslang the best!! W.D.. to me, is a beautiful, soft suede scent with a hint of Snake Oil. Very unisex! Boomslang is more of a thick and yummy chocolate scent, and that too, I only get a hint of S.O. I have never gotten any bold S.O. scents out of the snake pits....it's there, but not prominent. I would go to the review section here and read the reviews on the Snake Pits. Might be more helpful.
