    Holiday Moon

Mmmm, Holiday Moon. At first, this is strong, sweet green tea. After a few seconds, I get the tartness that so many of you have mentioned. That stays dominant for a few moments, then the whole blend settles down marvelously, I think because the oude comes out just slightly to ground it? This is so unusual and so lovely... and both the throw and the longetivity are way above average on me. This is a definite keeper.

    Budding Moon

Oh, this is so delicious on me. The plum blossom and peony are dominant, and the ginger is staying quiet -- and since ginger run amok tends to ruin most ginger blends for me, I am very pleased about this! I am not getting any green here -- it's all peachy-pink on me. In general, the sweeter lunar blends tend to work best on my skin, and this is no exception. I am really loving the Asian-themed lunacy blends so far... and after trying this one, I can't wait for Peony Moon!

    Pele

I'm having the same issue as many of you with my skin eating this right up! In the imp, I do smell the soft white flowers... but when I put it on, the flowers immediately go away, leaving only the barest hint of suntan lotion in their place. The same thing happened with Sudha Segara on me, so I am thinking that Beth's creamy/gingery blends may be problematic with my skin chemistry. No fair! Dumb skin!

    Mistletoe

This is a beautiful, crisp, and very real pine scent, as others have mentioned. I don't get any other notes, besides evergreen, from this at all. I have had it on for about two hours now, and it is strong with a lot of throw. Unfortunately, something about it (maybe just the sheer strength?) is giving me a headache, so I think I will try to find my bottle a better home!

    The Star

Swapping "citrus" for "coconut" in Penance's post sums it up for me. I really like Spooky, and I was really looking forward to trying this oil, as I was thinking that it might be a summer equivalent... but unfortunately, on me the coconut amps way, WAY up and, yes, makes my stomach flip a bit. Very odd, as I have never had that kind of physical reaction to any other oil I've tried! I did like the citrus/mint notes... but the overall blend was a bit overwhelming for me.

    Pink Phoenix

Oh, this is so nice. Wet, all I get is sweet pea and pear. Dry, the strawberry and vanilla come out, and a yummy cloud of sugary fruitiness (but without any hint of bubble gum, like some of you are getting) envelops me. If I put my wrist up to my nose and inhale really deeply, I get a teeny tiny bit of the plasticky note that ruined Midway for me. But the throw is strong enough that I can enjoy it from afar! I'm so happy to have this one.

    Black Phoenix

Ah, what I would give for some of the almondy/amaretto notes so many of you seem to get from Black Phoenix. The scent loses all traces of sweetness when it hits my skin, becoming very resiny and woody. It reminds me a lot of how Aureus dried down on my skin. All in all, it's too dark and dry a scent for me.

    Numb

I really, really like Numb, which is not surprising since Beth's violet is probably my favorite BPAL floral note, and since I am a big fan of clean-and-fluffy scents. I get a cool powdery scent immediately upon application; after a few moments, I'm left with a lovely blend of sweet powder and soft violets with a dash of clean laundry. I wore this out to a restaurant the other night and the server said I smelled "intoxicating" -- so I guess that Numb is a "sexy grandmother" scent on me
