Patchouli and Cardamam. As it dries, there are subtle hints of cinnamon. Suprisingly this is VERY foody on my skin.
I smell like the kitchen at an Indian Restaurant. To me, that's a heavenly scent, but Alone is such a strong scent, it was making me CRAVE Chicken Korma
Overall, I love this blend. Never in a thousand years did I expect a patchouli blend to make me smell like food, but the Lab never ceases to amaze me!

Al-Araaf is gorgeous. Sadly I would need to bathe in this scent for it to last more than a few glorious but fleeting moments.
The gentle florals remind me of a field full of spring wildflowers with honeybees buzzing around. Sweet, crisp, fresh and clean.

I was worried based on previous reviews that Antique Lace would be far too powdery on my skin. Baby powder is a scent that makes me queasy and I was really afraid that this is what it would turn to...
Thankfully it's nothing like baby powder. Powdery, yes; but not baby powdery. It's a fresh powder like in face powder. Sweet, but not overly sweet.
The vanilla note is soft and complex, I haven't smelled another BPAL where Vanilla was such a powerful yet subtle major note.
This was a pleasant suprise!

Black Opal is my favorite vanilla blend! A subtle smokey note keeps the sweetness of the vanilla from turning foody on my skin.
This is a sparkling, light vanilla that reminds me of my grandmother's opal ring. Mysterious and lovely.
Sadly it fades too quick for my taste, but despite that I still love it.

Oooh Thank you SO much for the suggestion!

I had such high hopes for Alice after reading the glowing reviews. I love honey notes, and this seemed like it would be perfect on me.
At first Alice is gorgeous on my skin, but sadly a disturbing, plastic note surfaces... the honey remains pleasant, but fades far too quickly.
After only 15 minutes Alice smells like plastic bags, faint floral airfreshner and sweetness.

Thunderbird... I'm at a loss to describe this one.
It's started out fresh and woodsy. I like it so far. Warm and outdoorsy... reminds me of hiking through pine forrests in the springtime.
There is an awkward note I can't really put my thumb on... maybe laundry detergent? One of those cheap "mountain fresh" scented dryer sheets...
Thunderbird is real nature meets synthetic perception of nature... awkward and unsetteling...

Prague
in Wanderlust
I bought this imp just because it was called Prague. I LOVE Prague. It's one of my favorite cities... Blind imp buying never ends well for me...
This starts out as a pleasant floral, but all florals go soapy on me
After this turned to soap, it began to smell like sunscreen... creamy, sorta rancid sunscreen.
*swap pile*

This has quickly become one of my all time favorite BPAL scents! I love warm rich red wine notes.
Combined with a sweet citrus note and a hint of spicey cloves... Perfection.
The wine note isn't boozy at all, which is a plus when wearing this to work (don't want the boss to think I'm drinking on the job like the time I wore Jolly Roger!)
-
Yummy!
Brown sugar, honey, sticky maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Wet this smells like maple syrup, but as it dries, the rich spices really come out.
I also detect a slightly boozy note in this, like a sweet bourbon or dark sugar-cane rum.
This is fun, festive, autumn scent!

This is a great thread... I'm looking for a blend to give my sister-in-law. She's due with her first baby any day now, and I think a BPAL scent that's comforting for both mom and baby would be a great gift...
Any suggestions? (She's having a girl if that makes a difference in suggestions)

Crisp Lemon-lime citrus notes, fresh zesty green herbal mint sprigs, sweet vanilla-sugar and creamy raw coconut!
Wow. I didn't think this would be a scent I could wear, but yet again... the lab amazes me.
The only note that really carries after it dried was the coconut and vanilla. The sharp mint and citrus faded quickly. This is so unique. I love it!

This is a really masculine citrus... odd combination. Fresh fruity grapefruit and warm thick musk.
On my this turns to a soapy, citrus note, but on my boyfriend, this is heavenly. It's light and fresh but manly. Reminds me of a sexy springtime romp in a citrus grove...
-
Queen of Diamonds is a light, tangy citrus and floral scent.
It's very soft and feminine like Neo-Tokyo, but with more emphasis on the florals notes.
Sadly this went slightly soapy on my skin after 30 minutes.
-
DCXXXIII- Strong, wet and floral. Yikes
DXLVI- Cherry cough drops!
-
Khephra is such an odd yet delightful scent... Lavender and cinnamon! It's comforting and refreshing at the same time.
I really like this, but it's so complex on my skin. Lavender notes are always amplified by my skin chemistry, and the cinnamon is a crisp, warm foody note.
Very unique.

Yummy... Musk and Vanilla! With just a hint of floral sweetness.
My skin LOVES musk, but hates all things Floral, so I was a little hesitant when sampling this imp.
The Vanilla note wins out over the floral in a big way. Peitho is quickly becoming one of my top 10 BPALs.
ADDED Dec. 1:
Bourbon, smoky Vanilla with a trace of slinky jasmine flowers.
This is a sweet, seductive scent. Rich and complex, but not overpowering. The smoky vanilla mellows the Jasmine note and sweetens to overall scent.
This would be a perfect " first date" scent. Feminine, sexy and flirty.

I'm so glad I got a bottle of this.
Warm tobacco leaf, smokey vanilla and roses.
Normally rose goes all wonky on my skin, but Love In the Asylum's rose is lovely.
It's a similar sweet rose like in Seraglio, combined with one of my favorite notes, tobacco.
-
Gardenia and Honey. This is very sweet and uber feminine.
The honey fades to leave a delicate, floral meddly.
Very pretty.
-
I was hoping for a nice fruity scent with Yerevan, but on my skin this turns to soap and apricots.
The apricot note is really lovely, but somthing in the florals is turning into a soap note.
off to the swap pile.

For some reason this scent reminds me of visiting old plantation homes along the mississippi.
Dewey wet moss hanging from ancient oak trees... sweet star jasmine flowers and crisp southern breeze.
This is really lovely.
-
This was pure woody cinnamon bark on my skin.
Very pretty, but not something I would want to wear. Maybe burn in an insense burner.
This is fresh cinnamon scent, not the foody cinnamon found in christmas scents.

Bengal
in Wanderlust
Bengal smells exactly like homemade chai tea. Not the cheap mixes from coffee houses.
Warm spicey cinnamon and hints of sweet honey.
This is a very exotic yet comforting blend.

Warm, buttery homemade gingerbread cookies in a bottle. *hugs* to the lab for creating the ULTIMATE comfort blend for me!
This scent brings back so many happy childhood memories of baking gingerbread with my grandmother during the holiday! Cinnamon, buttery ginger and sweet foody-vanilla!
