I wore this yesterday. It was a freebie from the lab, but I'd been thinking of trying it. I don't quite know why I decided to wear it to work, either...it' very, very sexy, in a powerful woman way. It was leathery yet feminine, with the sweetness of the amber underlying it. I can't think of what myrrh smells like off the top of my head, but nothing smelt funny to me in this blend at all. Just very sexual and yummy. The boy liked it too. Definitely a keeper for me, especially when I want to feel hot and sexy, as opposed to slinky and sensual. I might try it on the hubby, too - it might work really well on him.

In the imp, this was way to manly for me, and I like the boy scents. So, I put some on my husband. Wow. I'm in lurv. Vanilla and wood, and a little leathery undertone. It's very sexy, especially on sleepy boy. Dread doesn't wear much in the way of scent, but even he really liked this. I may have to get him a bottle. It makes me want to rip off his clothes and be late for work, which is a very good thing. (I agree with the poster who wants to get in the Antichrist's pants....rawr)

Yummy. Initially, this smelled like an orangy-chocolate-y baked good. Some kind of cookie or biscotti, less of a cake. Now, about 3 hours after application, it's warm and orangy. It's masculine, but not overly so. It's making me hungry. Oh yes. The Great Sword of War is a tasty snack, indeed.

Chaos Theory II : The Butterfly Effect
salamandrina replied to harlequin's topic in Limited Editions
I picked up DXLVII from the lj forum. In th bottle, it's eucalyptus/herbal with a strong coconut smell...at least to my slightly congested head, and to my sniffy-impaired hubby. I've worn it twice, and it's the same - stongly herbal - with a minty-eucalyptus quality wet, and as it dries, it's a sweet, toasty coconut, kind of like macaroons. I really like it, surprisingly. It's more "perfume-y" than the other oils I've tried, but not in a bad way, just in the way that I'm wearing a scent, rather than something that feels more natural. Hubby says I smell nice when I wear it, so I'll keep it, I think. I'm looking forward to being able to be a little more discerning if/when my sinuses decide to start behaving again. -
Wet, this is some scary strong, medicinal cinnamon. It's almost overpowering, but it fades quickly. For a while, it's a nice spicy sweetness, and my husband got something smoky out of it. I do like the way this smells on me - the fruit is there, but it's not overpowering. It doesn't last very long, though. I applied at abou 830 this morning, and it's totally gone by 11a. I don't really mind - I'll just bring it along with me.

I love this. It's everything I've wanted in commercial perfumes, but couldn't find - feminine, sexual, dark and complex. Wet was all cherries and honey - so much honey I could almost taste it in the back of my throat (weird how smell and taste are so combined). As it dried, it was vanilla sugared cloves, like kissing someone after smoking clove cigarettes. It was fabulous, and it made me feel slinky, like a film noir femme fatale. I could smell something darker and gritty in the background, but it didn't overpower on me, just grounded the other scents, and kept them from being cloying. Definitely a going out scent, but too much to wear to work.

This was a frimp in my first order. It isn't something that I would've ordered on my own at this point, but I'm glad I tried it. It starts off so sweet and juicy, and it dries down into something that smells like sunwarmed skin. It's really clean and alive smelling on me. I'm not getting a clear scent of leather or smoke, but it's very, very comforting. It's also the first oil I've tried that made the beloved growl happy at me. For all his professed love of vanilla and spicy scents on me, he loves it when I smell like a sugar sweet girly girl. I like this a lot, and I'll probably try some of the other dragon's blood blends. This is something that I'm comfortable wearing to work on an everyday basis - it's not overpowering or crazy sensual, although it doesn't seem to last that long, either..

Warm, glowing, and yummy. I feel like a baklava. Yummy and sweet. I don't get my concieved notion of sexiness from it, but it made my husband grab me and not let go this morning, so he liked it. This is an everyday wear kind of scent for me - it just smells good. I might actually layer it with a little Snake Oil - I almost want something darker to cut the sweetness of the honey.

My first review (and my first yummy smell) In the imp - It was strong and indistinct, but yummy. Wet - My initial impression was of the scent of an Indian clothing store. Spicy, a little dusty, and not a whole lot of vanilla. It was nostalgic for me, and comforting. I'm not getting sexy, although it is exotic. Somewhere at about an hour, a close up sniff made me go "Hmm....bandaids?" It was a weird, medicinal, iodiny smell that I've occasionally gotten from red wines that want to breathe before you drink them. It wasn't disturbing, but it also made me realize that I was very, very cold. After about 2 hours, and a snuggle with the kitties, it was warm, smooth, spicy vanilla. Yum. The hubby said "Yum" It smells wonderful, although I get comfortable and warm, not sexy from it....its safely exotic to me. I think I'll be getting a bottle of this - it just seems to meld into me without being overwhelming.
