I was gifted with a half-imp of this, and it's really delicious. But weird. There's the sugar skull aspect, and the fruity aspect, and in my nose they're two entirely different things in one imp. It just doesn't mesh together in my mind- it's two distinct threads, one darting purple, one sticky languid gold. In fact, if I could find a scent that was just the floating blackberry bit without the heavy sugary business, it's be in heaven. Still, a lovely scent, I'm very glad to have tried it.

Honey and Jasmine and I do NOT get along. So why is honeymoon so beautiful on me? There's definitely honey there, but it's a woody, herbal honey (thyme?) that just smells fresh and dry. There's also a dry hay in there, too. It makes me think of summer, a green-yellow scent that's so NOT what I was expecting that I'm unsure how to describe it. It's quite long-lasting, though when I wear it in my hair it turns into pencils. IT ends up smelling like my second-grade pencil box, with the pencils that had a hint of some kind of scent clinging to them (remember those?). It was supposed to be strawberry or bubblegum or something, but it ended up a pencil-scented kind of generic sweet. I love honey moon for that mental image alone...

In the bottle and immediately on: WOAH dryer sheets! Yup, this definitely brings storm moon to mind! Bright, effervescent, clean! 20 min later and 15 hours later: anyone else getting a Buck Moon vibe from this one...? kind of a soft, clean woodsy, hint-of-citrus kinda scent? I'm not that great at smelling musks so I can't tell if has any, but without being able to dig through my imps at the moment for a comparison this really reminds me of Buck Moon. It lingers, hoo boy! Very, very pretty. I bought this on a whim and am very glad I did.

I expected to sense the tall, black goddess with the necklace of skulls and many ebony arms, but this was the nondescript matronly woman in the red sari described in the book. Her scent was warm and sweet, though I didn't get any florals like others here have. A lot of cardamom, and in the drydown she smelled very similar to the saffron-sandalwood of Scherezade. Lovely, lovely scent.

my first review here ever! but Nancy made such an impression on me that I had to post it: Oh, Mr. Nancy...Beth nailed this scent. It's the same caramel that's in Red Lantern, Miskatonic University, and (as far as I remember) Sugar Skull. On me, it smells like pancake syrup, and lasts for days. But he's a tricky little spider. I decided to give him a chance, even though he was loud and a little embarassing. At first he behaved himself, and I smelled sweet key lime pie complete with a graham cracker crust. But then he started flirting with the Indian goddess Mama Ji, occupying my wrist. She tuned him out, but Robin said I was smelling very strongly of garam masala as we walked out the door. He was still paryting strong when Mama Ji had left the builing. So I thought I'd try to drown out the noise with some Abhisarika. Nancy and the First Face of Ashtanyika made sweet love for awhile, but Nancy wore her out. He was still singing karaoke solo when the bar was closing around 10PM, so I tried to make Obtala kick him out. They didn't get along at all, and in the morning, only Mr. Nancy was left standing, winking cheekily at me and smelling innocently of vanilla and snake oil. Now his garam masala scent has escaped from his bottle and has scented my entire bedroom- Mr Nancy will NOT be forgotten. That's one hell of a scent, right there.
