Wet: This reminds me of that pink hand soap that is always in truck stop bathrooms. Very fruity with a creamy aspect as well. It smells like fake strawberry perfume. Like something that would scent a strawberry shortcake doll or something. Dry: As it dries the smell doesn't change much. I guess it smells good, but I can't get the idea of it smelling like hand soap, or cheap strawberry incense, or some generic strawberry air freshener out of my head. This is probably an imp I'll swap eventually. I can't see myself wanting to wear this more. About 30 minutes later: I had to wash it off. I scrubbed my arms twice and I could still smell it. On me this smelled exactly like a really strong strawberry car freshener with a generous dab of sleazy thrown in. This is the only bpal I haven't liked so far. At least I have seven more imps waiting to be tried. :-0

I got this as a frimp and was happy to try it because I'd noticed it mentioned a lot in various reviews. Overall this scent was nice and I can see why it's so popular. To be honest though, the softness of the musk paired with the citrus tang kind of gave me a creeped out feeling at one point which I believe was due to the mental images the name of this scent conjured. I did think this scent to smell very commercial as others have said. Basically, on me Embalming Fluid is the scent of lemon-lime gummy worms but in perfume form, if that makes any sense.

In bottle: Rose scented nail polish remover, with a juicy cherry scent that appears in the back of my nose when I pull the bottle away. Wet: Still a bit like nail polish remover, then it changes to a red lifesaver type scent. The pom is most likely the juicy candy part, the rose must be the nail polish remover smell which quickly is taking over. Dry: I don't know, smells nice, but not quite as I expected. My time of the month chemistry could be affecting it. As I write this the pom is emerging more, these scents work well together. I might like this. It's definitely juicy and rich. It almost has a faint cinnamon smell hiding within. Okay, really starting to like this . I'll have to update once I've worn it awhile. The next day: I had everyone telling me I smelled good yesterday. My daughter came down the stairs and was all the way across the room and said, "did you get a new perfume?" And kept sniffing me and saying it smelled so good. In the car her friend kept saying, "what smells so good" and my daughter told her, "it's my mom!" My son even told me several times, "you smell beautiful." (he is four:)) So persephone is definitely a win for me. I love it. It makes me feel womanly and happy and luscious. I figured out what the wet smell of it reminds me so much of too; green apple jolly ranchers, only better!

I received a bottle of The Mouse on a swap and I have a feeling it's been aging for quite awhile because the swapper had to make sure she still had it. It was recommended to me on the sweet and innocent thread and I am so excited to try it! In bottle: a creamy, somewhat lemony sweetness. Wet: A sweet smell, reminiscent of those smarties candies. Dry: Oh wow... This is so...precious. It is totally sweet and cute. It smells like childhood innocence, cozy, loving memories. This is one I could see making my little ones want to curl up in my arms and cuddle on me. The sweet pea is not too sweet , but just there enough to give off a somewhat tangy scent. vanilla and amber gently wrap themselves around it, creating an aura of softness, and the sandalwood is barely there, just enough to keep this scent somewhat nobler. I think someone said it smelled like expensive powder and I totally get that, only it's not powdery, but airy and light. I definitely see the fuzzy reference. I want to hold this cute little mouse against my cheek. . This is not an intense bubble gum type scent like I thought it'd be. It's more the smell of a newborn than a child. About an hour later: Hello sandalwood! It has totally taken over and I am definitely understanding the nag champa references. I have memories of my mom burning nag champa in her old apartment so it made me feel a bit nostalgic. However, my main goal in trading for this was to smell more innocent and less "headshop"because my husband doesn't like me smelling like incense. Fortunately, by the time he got home that powerful sandalwood phase had already morphed back to what it had first smelled like. When I asked him to smell it he said, "that's much better." Not the best reaction but an improvement at least:). This lasted on me. I put it on around 1pm yesterday and it's 11:30am today and I'm still getting whiffs of it that smell really good. Update: I just wanted to update since I've been wearing this a lot. So far I haven't had the weird sandalwood explosion I had the first time. When I wear this it reminds me most of two things; clean pink flushed skin, or a bowl of cream of wheat with a generous among of sugar dissolved into it. The other day I had it on and my husband told me I smelled so good he wanted to eat me and my 10 year old has become an elbow huffing leech that I practically have to beat to get off my arm. This will forever be a favorite, anytime scent for me. I'm so glad I have it!

In the bottle this smelled very much like lemon-lime soda. Wet on my skin it still smelled like lemon-lime soda. As it dried the lime began to fade and it became more like the smell of sprite or one of those clear citrusy sodas, until finally it was dry and the lime smell was practically hidden behind this powerfully soft cloud of woody sweetness. The longer I wore it the more powdery it became, but not in a bad way. It definitley has some good throw. Without the lime this would just smell like a cozy, woody scent, but the lime makes it more playful and alive. I'm pretty surprised by how good this smells. I didn't expect to like it. My husband hugged me when he came home from work and said, "You smell...decent." Which was a compliment in a way because I think my fragrance oil obsession is getting on his nerves. He then added, "You still smell like a headshop though," because that is what he thought the Snake Oil I'd tried yesterday smelled like. If I was into the richer spicier scents I'd probably be interested in a bottle of this but as of right now I'm more looking for the sweeter scents so I've already made plans to swap this. Edit: This is weird but I'm really bummed I swapped my imp of this. I REALLY liked it and I should have gone with my gut and kept it, but alas, I didn't want to be called a headshop so I gave it away. That's what I get for listening to someone elses opinion instead of sticking with my own, because I seriously haven't stopped thinking about how good this one smelled since then. I didn't expect to like it, I wish I didn't like it, but I do, A LOT. I think this will very likely be a future bottle purchase.

I had read coyote was a masculine type of scent in some of these reviews so I let my husband try it. The first night he put it on I thought it smelled nice. A bit like a soft cologne. Warm and fuzzy like fur but with a little sweetness to it and some kind of barely there musk in the background. The next day he wore it for me again and it seemed much stronger (maybe he applied more). I could smell it easily just by standing within a few feet of him. For whatever reason it ended up smelling very sweet on him the second time around and I told him not to wear it anymore because it smelled a little girly. Lol. I have not tried it myself but it's not really my type of scent so I probably won't bother.

I was so excited to try this! At first sniff in the bottle (I automatically ordered a 5ml) I thought it smelled like old man cologne. Not the best first impression but I was still optomistic. When I first put it on my skin it smelled just like coca cola or Mr Pibb but only less sweet. Once it dried it smelled like a beautiful cloud of spice with the slightest tease of vanilla hiding behind it. The spice scent, as some others noted, is not sweet, but rather dusty and heady, like tobacco but not as sweet as tobacco. It is a very empowering scent. It definitley makes me feel sensual and also cozy. If you could liquefy the husky voice a woman might use in private, it would smell like this. The unfortunate thing is that my husband doesn't like it :'(. I handed him my wrist after it had dried and he said, "Smells like incense," to which I replied, "You like the smell of incense," and he said, "Yeah but not on a woman.". Then I asked him to smell it again later because I was hoping he would change his mind and he said, "You smell like a head shop." It was about 4 or 5pm when I put the oil on and when I woke up in the morning it was still going pretty strong on me. The weird thing was, I had put dabs on my wrists and inner elbows and when I awoke my wrists smelled like sweet vanilla and inner elbows like pure spice. I then tried to wash it off so I could try a new oil and it took two washes with heavy duty face soap to get it off. The following day I kept noticing the smell on stuff I had touched when I wore it, such as the throw pillow on the couch, and it made me sigh happily . I have not yet worn it out of the house but I will update this post if I get some interesting responses.
