At first faustus is like frankinscense in your face, this is wet of course.I didn't want to like it. After it dries the violet softens it dramatically.I don't really smell any cinnamon. Usually violets make me think of old ladies and grandmothers, this scent does not.I can relate to the description,I want to keep smelling myself,I smell good.

This blend is extremely pungent! At first sniff from the vial and on my skin it is very strong rosemary and the other resinous scents are very prominent. It dries down very quickly, thank goodness, but i never did find the lemon.Alas,my search for the perfect citrus scent continues! If you revel in the smell of very strong smelling herbs and trees, this is for you.

Wrath in the vial is hyper cinnamon, reminds me of cinnamon gum or toothpaste. As it drys it is more reminescent of some cinnamon candy,it becomes sweeter. After being dry for a few hours it is very sweet and much softer, the cinnamon is gone completely. The dragons blood and violets must come together for a very softly lined dragon's nest.Any initial wrath is gone. Violet often leaves me with an old lady grandmother feeling, this definitely does not.I can't say I love it and will buy a bigger bottle, but I will hold on to the imp. OOps,there's no violet in here, just very soft dragon's blood.

This is a very dark and sweet scent as noted by many past reviews. The cherry is very evident upon first opening the vial, mine was an imp.Unfortunately,it reminds me very much of Red Queen, which nauseated me when I wore it.Not sure what they have in common other than the cherry.Other cherry scents seem very nice.I have a feeling I don't like vetiver, but to be honest,I'm not sure what that is.I'm just beginning to get an idea of particular notes that I love and those that I hate.I must pass on this.
