Lilithlefay was kind enough to pass her unwanted bottle on to me. Lush! I recognise a bouquet of flowers that are found in Danube, Bayou, Beltane and Amsterdam, what I would call succulent, bulby sweet floral notes with a greenish spike. It's very wet, fresh and vibrant, like a vase full of spring flowers cut just as a downpour starts, raindrops, stems and all.

Velvet, Centzon Totochtin, Tezcatlipoca and Intrigue are all dark and not sweet. Look at the other notes and see what appeals to you most, or order samples of all four!

Unhelpful to say so, but Mi-Go smells /exactly/ like I had imagined it to from the description and other peoples' reviews. The only thing I wasn't expecting was a piquant *tang*, which I'm attributing to the pineapple. It cuts through the sweetness of the jasmine and other notes very joyously indeed and gives it added 'I'm a refreshing summer drink - drink me' bonus points.

Oooh this is heavenly: rich, deep and dark. In terms of chocolate, it's like Green & Blacks' compared to Bliss' Cadbury's Dairy Milk. The most striking note is powdery cocoa, the same note from Velvet. Behind the cocoa, linking their arms together as back-up, are patchouli and leather; a decadent, sultry and gorgeous combination. I'm not usually keen on leather, but here it just adds extra oomph and sexiness. The flowers remind me of Kali's and add lightness, stopping this blend becoming overly masculine for me. The incense may or may not be there, to be honest - my nose isn't sensitive enough to pick it up or differentiate it from the Patchouli. This is a blend, for sure! I'm very glad I got a 5ml unsniffed and may even go for a 10ml in future.

Hmmm... I can only detect Dragon's Blood in the Ace of Wands. Perhaps there's an inkling of spice, but very little. I'm not really a fire type, and don't feel much affinity for this oil.

Oh good! I'm glad I'm not the only one who got patchouli from Judgement! This is a lovely sweet, resinous floral patchouli blend, not unlike Vixen. It's very warm and comforting and I would wear it as a perfume as well as for meditation.

Wet, the first note to hit my nose is the earth, quite damp and mixed with almond. As this dries, it's like leaf mold in a decidious wood, friendly smelling and full of life. There's a medicinal note at the back somewhere that I think is the patchouli mixed with pine, which gets sweeter as the scent dries. It's a lovely representation of earth, warm and inviting.

I just received The Sun as part of a swap, and I've had a big jolt of recognition! A good few months ago, before The Lion was released, I bought a rollerball of what I (and the seller) believed to be The Lion prototype. I was confused when I read the reviews for the prototype of The Lion, since I could not detect any cinnamon in my rollerball and it just didn't seem to match other people's descriptions. I have since bought and enjoyed The Lion. When opening The Sun today, I immediately recognised what was in my rollerball: warm, orangey amber. The citrus is not sharp in any way, but round and full and the amber rounds it out and smooths it further. I still can't detect any cinnamon! I'm sure whoever sold me the rollerball did so in good faith - I'm just pleased that this little mystery has been solved!

Utterly beautiful. I've been wearing Nuit tonight, and have been totally captivated by the ethereal yet heady glow I've felt smelling it. I don't often discuss chakra correspondences in my reviews, but my reaction to Nuit was so strong I can't really omit it in an honest review. I felt such a strong opening of my crown chakra tonight: I felt ever more dizzied and entranced with every whiff that came from myself as I sat opposite my boyfriend listening to him speak. I felt like a receptacle for love and belief and goodness and it was wonderful. Nuit feels like diamonds and silk and purity and sparkle and light and total unity.

My first impression was that Hanging Gardens was not as fresh-smelling as I had hoped, it's more dried fruit than anything else, but the fruits are sticky and still lush, very rich. After a couple of hours, the floral notes start to come through - I think it's gardenia, and it's giving a pleasant lift to the heavier fruit notes. Hanging Gardens is truly a bonteous scent - both for wearing and as a room fragrance.

I would definately definately suggest Silk Road!

I've got mixed feelings about Beltane. In the bottle, its a fabulous mixture of many different flowers (I can pick out bulb flowers and blossom in particular) and greenery and it reminds me a little of a favourite Body Shop perfume called Focus, or Demeter's Wet Garden. After about a minute, it dries down to quite an aquatic floral scent and it reminds me of the drydown of Danube, Bayou and Amsterdam but with jasmine as the strongest note. I wish the initial lush and varied stage stuck around for longer, since the dry scent is rather less interesting, and a bit too cloying, although still quite pretty.

Absolutely delicious. I didn't wear this as a perfume, but squandered the whole imp in some showergel that I used both last night and this morning. It's exactly what I look for in a bathtime fragrance - deeply woodsy and penetrating. The earthy notes simply grounded the scent rather than featuring prominently, and the rose just gave a pleasant sweetness rather than a distinct note as in, say, Zombi. It was so beautiful to stand in the shower inhaling this after a long day yesterday - I felt soothed and grounded and reassured. I'm kicking myself for using the whole imp up now & will put a 5ml in my next order.

I second Snake Oil. Always.

A lovely high, creamy and sweet musky scent straight off, blending really well with the dragon's blood resin. I agree with jj_j: it's a much less cloying take on Dragon's Milk and I think more sexy.

This starts of as a pretty straightforward dragon's blood scent, kind of soapy. Drying down, the leather and smoke come through subtley - this is quite dark but still clean smelling.

Crikey! This scent totally knocked me out, and not in a good way! It smelt just like one of the leather shops in Camden, or the inside of a new shoe. Very very strong, and disconcertingly 'wet' smelling, as if the leather was very fresh and new. My boyfriend tried some on his hand and we both agreed it wasn't really wearable outable. But then we live in the city; perhaps such a raw smell would be easier to wear in the country.

I'm enjoying this oil. It starts off very berryish, and dries to a red vanilla-musk scent. It very much reminds me of a (cheap but still very nice) perfume my friend used to have when I was a teenager, I think Charlie Red? It's sweet and quite sexy.

Like others, I chose The Hermit because it is my soul and personality card, and because I relate to the archetype it conjures. I also love the image of The Hermit in the Thoth Tarot. Straight off, there's a really strong alcoholic note here, like a herbal tincture. The herbs are bitter and greeny brown, although I can't really identify them. Basil? As The Hermit dries, the scent becomes lighter and greener, although the herbs still seem preserved rather than fresh. This 'preserved' aspect makes the scent seem much more inward looking. It's a very interesting scent, and one which will be great for meditation or study.

My experience agrees mainly with saorise's review above. Kether has a pleasantly sweet note that blends with the cinnamon and the deeper woods and resins. It's the kind of scent that I can't breathe enough in of at once! It reminds me of an aureveydic herbal/spice tea that is really well blended. As with Tiphareth, I'm really glad I bought a 10ml of Kether straight off. ETA: I'm testing it on my knee, and as I sniff it, I'm (pleasantly) reminded of the smell of antiseptic ointment that would be put on grazed knees when I was little. It's definately got a medicinal quality.

I agree with most of the reviews here: this is a deep woody resinous incense spice oil thats so deeply calming. There is a sharpish medicinal note which tickles my nose a little, but I actually really enjoy medicinal notes and I am so glad I bought a 10ml unsniffed.

While cinnamon feels warm on my skin, I find that almond *burns* like mad - you may well be reacting to only the almond, and not so much the cinnamon.

Woah! I think I got the hippy version of Chaste Moon! It starts off, yes, all light fluffy buterscotch with crisp floral/greenish notes, then on my skin it goes Whoof! Incense! Kind of nice incense, like sandalwood incense, but incense nonetheless. So not really a spring morning scent like I wore it first of all, and certainly not quiet (on me), but still very nice!

Nope. Still waiting on my Chaste Moon order from around the same time. I'm in the UK.
