ZOMFG how gorgeous is this!!! It starts out very creamy warm vanilla on me, ding ding ding we has a winner!!
That is enough to sell me on it. Heh.
I sniff something green here too, and very light white flowers. It's not faint though, wow love this one.

Just throwing my 2 cents in for the long lasting, for me it's Avenger, and Josie (OMG Josie... heaven...)
For my DH it's WILF, 12 hours later, and smelled like, surprise! Snake Oil. Very fabulous...
-
I second the nomination for the Wiley Grasser, off the hook.
Also, Samhainophobia is just fantastic.
Love The Nymphae Avernales, but it is powdery (which I love)
The Zoom. Love love love this. Limey and Dragon's Blood-y.

Beth, you need to stop. How can you take pine and cotton candy and make amazing? For heaven's sake. I almost inhaled my arm. Please send me one gallon of this...

This went right up to a big bottle. My favorite of the III series so far.
Rose haters stay away, this is a sharp beautiful rose, it reminds me of the sharper rose that is in Dawn, not the rounder sweeter rose.
Love this.

THE ZOOMLime juice, bergamot, Himalayan cedarwood, helichrysum, and dragon’s blood resin.
This one goes to eleven.
Lime, and Dragon's Blood? Delicious. Fresh. Salty. Really good. Very bright and round, great for daytime. This is a nice DBR, it gives me the scent without being too New Age Bookstore. Not that I am opposed to the New Age Bookstore, it's just that I like to pretend to be sophisticated every once in a while.
This one will get some back ups.
Oh and I don't get the wood very strong, which is good, as I don't really love smelling like furniture.

The patchouli definitely bites in this one, and it's that wonderful dirty earthy one. This one has a dark feel to me, with roundness from the vanilla honey and musk. Ten out of ten.
-
Just got my 2011, had a hard time keeping my bottle as I thought my BFF was going to inhale it, in it's entirety. Needless to say more is coming.
Deep dark rich with that dirty hippie patchouli. Yum.
What is the phobia called when you have a fear of running out of Samhainophobia?
This is perfect for me, because there is nothing I hate more than the scent of pumpkin, so I had phobia of Samhain. Got it?
-
This one is nice, strong, and very musky. Win.
And what I forgot to say was the sharp fruity is the overwhelming part of this one, supposing that would have to be the black currant. It's lovely, and round, if that makes sense, after the first fruity stab. Fine for work, and I work very closely with humans.

Very very soft, and pretty, a real "lady" scent. I wore this to church today, very quiet...
-
Fabulous. This smells like fabulous. At first it's cake but then the drydown is so much more.
-
For the first one I would do Ghosts in Love (new Weenie) just for the name, or Santa Muerte, just for the feeling of it, and the scent.
1950's housewife?? Hmm, that's harder...
-
The best rose scent I have ever smelled in my entire life. I need a Hudson Sprayer full of this.
-
Did anyone add Omen? I don't see it. Also Perversion. And Debauchery.
-
Love this. I get no leather though, maybe when my big bottle comes it will come out.
I love the tonka, but it's more complex. This is what I wanted Liz and Illustrated Woman to be. Vanilla but more intricate, and less fleeting.
This also has the burnt sugar of L'Heure Verte.
Heavenly, sweet but with a bite.

Holy moly getting this RIGHT AWAY!
This smelled very much like an older Guerlain perfume to me, Mitsouko, but richer and better. More rounded.
It had the same depth as Caterpillar, but softer.
Coming to my house right now...
-
I wouldn't go for aquatics, I would try some nice "boy" things, I would recommend Hellboy, it is a really nice manly scent without being so um, Axe-ish.
I also love WILF, my 21 year old son loves that, he also was weaned from the Axe.
-
OMGosh why have you people been hiding this from me!! This is mouth watering orangey orange blossomy goodness!
At first I though it might have Dragon's Blood, it had the same sort of feeling.
So good, I know this is a big bottle. It smells almost salty? It's fantastic.

As far as effective goes I give this one 5 stars.
As far as scent goes, this one goes to eleven.
Cherry heaven.

Tombeur is the surefire way for me to get compliments.

Dawn: Mother
in Dawn
This is very beautiful, softer than Priestess to me but similar. Love this.
Dawn has become another favorite hang out for me here.
-
I thought I would love this, I love anise and I love cherries, Red Queen is one of my most favorites.
However, with this one the gorgeous cherry was there just till the dry down and then it was Licorice Candy. Bleech.

Emma
in The District
This is a mystery to me. I was sure these notes would be fantastic, but all I get is a puff of powdery WTF is that? which is gone in like 15 minutes. To the back of the cabinet with you! Will try back later...
So after letting this bottle sit, it's become glorious. And substantial. I smell the flowers less than the bourbon, but they give a nice sharpness to the early phase of this. After a few hours it drys down to mostly bourbon. I love this, there are some days when I really want the sharpness of this.

Lulu
in The District
I love Lulu. Very happy about loving her, as Emma and I are currently not on speaking terms. Lulu was the completion of my District hoard, I mean collection.
Lulu to me is very green, like the smell you get when you first walk into a florist's shop. The feeling is like walking down the street in early autumn or late summer on a cool morning, and you can smell someone has mowed their lawn a block away. It has nice throw and lasting power, and is not headachey or soapy in the least for me.
Fresh and gorgeous.
This is so garden rich, and there is nothing else like it in BPAL, but it does have the freshness and green for me like Ya Te Vo, but a bit more girly. Just a bit though, I think this would be fine on a boy too.

After a week or so I have to say the one I am going to need back up for most surely is Incubus Leaving Two Sleeping Women. It feels very much like this years Thirteen to me. Not really feeling Muse of Night, I am letting her sit for a while, and Triumph of Death and Samhainophobia although excellent are at the Boy side of the cabinet now.
Muse of Night has made herself at home here, I am loving the fruitiness of her. Expressive Head although not a weenie? is a hit, kind of boy but kind of fabulous. Batty is awesome. Very kind of cake that turns into boy cologne.
