I don't think it's being overly sensitive to cringe at derogatory remarks, no matter what group they are flung at. *gets ma old lady panties in a bunch*. I do believe that ageism is actually against Federal laws, yep that is correct. And that's because, it's not right. It's also a little hurtful for those of us who are

A. Ladies

B. Maybe not so young (PS I am 50. Whoa. So old)

C. Powder lovers.

D. Rose lovers.

In any case, it's funny because when I was in my twenties, I wore Ombre Rose all the time, which is heavy powder and rose. So when I smell that I think Ahhhhh! Oh no! It's the eighties and I am hungover and making poor dating decisions! Heh. I still love those type of scents, when someone says Yeech powder, I am right on that.

I really hate that "old lady" description, akin to the Eww Baby Powder one. Sigh.

I really love the old fashioned type scents, Wicked is one for me. Haunted another.

People say "Old lady" as if it is some type of horror, like "Eww, smells like a Felon or Child Molester"! "Gross, Garbage Dump"!

I am all for Banning The Old Lady Moniker as I find it horrible. How about Classic, or Timeless or Old Fashioned, or Anything Else But Old Lady.

Umm, lets see, all of them? You do not want to know my Yule orders. Yes orders. Two already and more to come. It's terrifying.

Don't love this one. Thank goodness I don't smell pot, bleech, but I do smell dirt. And just dark browns and dark. Not love.

Edit : So. I went back to retry this one, and I admit I layered it with the gorgeous Vampire Bride, but I did test on it's own and hot damn. It does smell like pot. But not unpleasant. I think it needs a sweet/citrus to keep it from being so rough. I kind of like it now...

Like many other BPALs, when I first opened this I went Bleech! WTF! But now I wear it, um, everyday almost?

Strangely to my primitive nose it's all tangerines all the time. Then after about two hours it is something sweet, like a gorgeous flower. I get no dust. It's almost mouth watering, very nice. Strong too, do not slather...

*edit* this may be one of two (the other being the amazing Wiley Grasser) back up Weenies for me, this is amazing. No other BPAL is anything like this, it's true love.

This smelled like rum to me, which BTW, I hate. Straight up booze and boy, two thumbs down for me.

This is fantastic, flowery, citrusy heaven. so happy I ordered this one, it's juicy and heady, love it.

Edit * My husband got in bed one night and I said "Oh my! What oil are you wearing?" And after some reluctance he told me it was this Lady. It smells fantastic on him. I had thought it was a bit "boy cologne", but I like that for me or for him.

I keep coming back to this review because every time my husband wears this I think OMG the perfect scent for him. It's just gorgeous, all men should smell like this Lady. Literally the perfect scent on him, spicy, incensey, bergamot ish, I don't know just heaven.

I have sort of a Lyrics Tourettes, meaning some things make certain lyrics jump into my head, and then I have to play the whole song. For instance, my imp of Zombi over here, so happy to get this frimp, I have been wanting to try it! I will have to retest, as I did not get the dirt thing, just flowers, flowers, and more flowers, and a bit of that murky thing like Bayou and "Do you like to take a yo yo for a ride? Zombi I can see you're qualified, you Zombi be born again my friend, won't you sign in stranger" curtosey of Donald Fagan et al.

Hmm, what about Nightmare? It's very light, and has that "linen" smell. It's a Weenie though, you would have to order before December 13th. I thought of it because it is very airy, but still has a great non irritating smell. It does not smell like a nasty dryer sheet either lol.

And it has no ginger or anything else you said he does not like.

Fantastic. Absolutely the best "foodie" scent ever. And for me, it's not faint or fleeting either. This is a warm spicy delicious one, that I keep in my pocketbook and slather all day long. Just enough spice to temper the sweetness.

Holy crap this is gorgeous. Very very smokey, from start to finish, with woods and resins and lots of "stuff". Not too masculine, not too sweet.

Really really heavenly, Big Bottle of this will be on the next order. So happy this is wonderful (foodie haters stay away), as I love The Philippines, and anything Filipino. Including this weenie.

I would like to start this review out by saying I tend to back off from anything apple or apple cidery, and the other Apples that I tried from my Weenie decants were simply vile, for me the Apple Hater. This one however is so fresh and real that I found it quite appealing, and wearable.

I just put in for a bottle of this with my Yule Order of Doom. If you had told me that I would be ordering anything with "apple" in the title before I tried this, I would have said you were nuts.

This is so gorgeous though, very feminine and not like a fruit salad.

This is kind of a Perversion with something deeper for me, I get a heavy burnt sugar from this. Love love love this, not sure if it's BB worthy, I will be trying the imp more in the next couple of days.

Got my big bottle, and I figured it out, for me this is Perversion plus Snake Oil. It is pretty perfect, so happy I did get the BB. Snake Oil fans, get this now!!

Lasts all day besides!

This is fantastic, very evocative of a cool autumn day. I was so scared of the dry dead leaf thing, I don't like that smell IRL, but this is fantastic. One large bottle coming up...

When I first got this one, I thought it was a ghost, as I could hardly smell it, but a couple weeks later it has turned into a gorgeous light floral. So glad I have a big bottle, it's lovely.

This is gorgeous. It's a nightime scent for me, light and lush. Very sexy and lady like. Yes, ladies can be sexy

It does remind me of being in those Asian tropical places, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam. I know that I lived there in a former life, have been lucky enough to do a bit of traveling and living there, amongst the wonderful smells...

Ok, so I am a supporter of the protests, I bought 3 bottles of this, wanting to be supportive, and as a bonus, I love patchouli, to the point of when I read reviews that say "ewww gross dirty stinky hippie patchouli" I usually push that scent to the top of the Must Have Now list.

This is not disappointing, it's a very nice patchouli, but strangely there is something very luxurious to me here, um, very furry. Like a furriers shop. Like Marilyn Monroe's mink coat. Really. I feel like I am breathing into fur. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad thing for me...

Strange, nobody else gets the fur thing, maybe it's just me...

Got my backups yay, I put this one in my hair everyday, I adore it, and hope it's energy gives Power to the People...

Gruesome. Absolute furniture polish, which I did not love, as I am not a hutch or a teak piano. That said, it was very pleasant and somewhat intriguing.

I gave this one away to my friend who loves lemony even Lemon Pledgey things.

Don't get me wrong, no lemon here, just Pledge, and maybe some (shudder) apple. I don't like the smell of apples.

This is such a cute one. Very chocolate like the one in this years 13 at the top, changes to a nice cologney thing, very wearable.

Well I am not going to jump totally to conclusions, but I may have found the perfect BPAL scent here.

This is Caterpillar-ish, but so much more feminine and less like a wizard shop.

It does smell like Lush's Turkish Delight, those reviews are what got me to buy this. Heaven.

It's always worth it to dig up some good cherries.

IMO : The Red Queen, and Hideous Heart. Also Bat of Wealth. I know I know, no cherries there, pomegranite, but smells suspiciously cherry-esque to me...

OMGosh the Sleeper Hit of the Autumn BPALs!!!!!!!

I have never had so many people grab me and say "What are you wearing, you smell amazing!!!" Including my friend who is also a BPALer who said "and if you get back ups make sure I get one"...

It starts out WTF is that heavy sort of burning smell, but that is quickly replaced by incensey vetiver not too heavy on the patchouli perfection. Heaven. And long lasting.

Athens was totally Fig Newton to me. I think I sent you some Vanilla?
