The woods are a strong on my first sniff, dry and the faintest bit sweet. After a moment, the pepper kicks in as well, with the other notes lending smoke to the blend. This is pretty, a light and freshly-cut wood scent.

On first sniff, this blend reminds me of a garden in the rain. On second sniff, of a very fancy bath gel. Hm. I think it's the combination of jasmine and verbena. It's pretty, florals and fresh rain, but very soap-like to my nose. After a bit, the soapiness becomes a sleepy note, gray and misty. There's also a downy note I can't identify, the faintest bit of warmth through the rain. The florals fade far into the background. In the end, this is a pleasant rain to my nose, clean and sweet. Lovely.

On first sniff, this is dry and a little...astringent? I think. Woody, definitely, and after a minute, resin notes jump out at me. This scent reminds me of a cello, polished to a deep shine. There's an aquatic, ozoney note in the background, but for me, the resins stay dominant in the long run.

On first sniff, this is cologne to my nose, reminding me of incense and astringent. The incense note(s) get stronger over time. After a while, however, the cardamom and saffron and musk come into play. This ends up being sweet and a little spicy, but in a woodsy way, instead of foody. Complicated and gorgeous. I like it!

This is oranges and tea on first sniff, mellow and sweet. As it dries, I start to smell deeper notes, dry and dark and a little woody. Oddly, I can't smell the vetiver at all. Instead, I get smoky spice. This is a well-balanced blend, and definitely a melancholy one. As it dries, however, I get an unpleasant musky note. Off to swaps with this!

Honey, cassia, and sickly cognac. Wow! It's spicy and swoony warm and dark gold. The cognac fades, but leaves an unsettling note in the background, of much too much excess. For the most part, however, it's a gorgeous honey and spice blend, sensual and occasionally overwhelming.

I can't quite pin this scent down, it's so well blended. The wood is definitely there, but the other notes are perfectly balanced. It has amber's warmth, and after a while I can detect the vanilla and the florals. Actually, this reminds me of Clio, the way it's almost brittle in its dryness, but sustained by the other notes. This strikes me as a very sophisticated, very learned sort of scent. The violet emerges after a while, and lends this a feminine note. Beautiful. Complex.

Oooh. I had high hopes for this one--I'm actually very fond of vetiver and leather together--and this scent didn't disappoint me. The leather and vetiver are the dominant notes to my nose, along with a sprinkling of the pepper. As the scent dries, I'm better able to detect the musk, and a hint of something greener, sweeter. It's a very earthy and masculine scent. Over time, the blend warms and sweetens--not a lot, but enough to temper the faint bitterness of the other notes. The leather and vetiver mellow, though the pepper stays prominent. Overall, this scent is smoky and sexy and clean. I love it.

This is very, very, very green on first sniff. "Crushed green stems" is exactly right. I can barely smell anything else, though after a moment, I catch a hint of something floral in the background. This is so fresh-smelling, I'm tempted to sneeze. After a while, I start to get an odd powdery note--it's quite clean, especially mixed in with the greenery. Overall, it's a calming and clean scent, but not something to which I'm particularly drawn.

I hadn't planned on reviewing this yet, but I decanted an imp and there was a drop left in the pipette! I couldn't let it go to waste. On first application, this is a bold vanilla and patchouli. It's very earthy but doesn't scream patchouli, you know? After a while, the vanilla fades away on me. I'm left with a pleasant blend of leather, patchouli, and a hint of florals. There's also a faint aura of musk that's really nice. Overall, this is a sensual blend on me, deep and lingering sweet. It's not as strong as I expected it to be, what what I end up with is really gorgeous.

This is an almost transparent scent, fresh but elusive. It's like sweet grass and pale flowers, but the scent is carried on a breeze. Pretty, but insubstantial.

Huh. I want to say this is a floral scent--the ylang ylang is very evident--but something in this blend keeps me from pinning it down. The background is very cool and sweet. In the foreground, however, is something sharper, and a little bit sour. Metallic, even. There's smoke in it, as well. As it dries, the sweetness gets a little sickly, but not overbearingly so. Neat!

At first sniff, this reminds me walking through a forest as summer turns to fall, leaves and bits of wood moldering to dirt underneath my feet. It's not a live scent, but it's a fresh one, if that makes any sense. As it dries, I get more of a dry cedar note from the blend, but it's still grounded by the moist dirt. It's very earthy, very soothing to me.

Definitely a golden scent. This is gorgeous, sunshine and open fields. It's very much a clean scent--I agree with those who mentioned a linen note. It is revitalizing, in a way, like a long summer afternoon condensed into scent. Lovely.

This is sweet and haughty rose to me on first application. I'm not familiar with narcissus, so I can't quite tease it out of the blend. As it dries, however, I do smell a floral note other than rose, a little sharper, a little fresher. Overall, it's a very pretty scent.

This is a sweet aquatic on first application, cool and a little wintery. As it dries, the winter notes get stronger, pine and ice and chill green. It reminds me of Talvikuu, of a forest on the edge of a harsh winter. After a while, the greenery really comes out--it's still cold, but there's life in this, trees and grass and a hint of flowers. Gorgeous.

Wow! Guava is a strong note in this one, and I'm definitely getting the kiwi and apple as well. Yum! After a while, I'm able to discern the pomegranate and the pear, but everything's blending together so deliciously. It's a gorgeous scent, summery and light, but with a decent amount of throw. Delicious.

On first sniff, this is actually a sweet, buttery scent, not foody, but definitely rich. After a minute, the smoke and leather of the blend comes out--I get the impression of smoldering wood chips, a hazy, pleasant drowsiness. It's not masculine itself, but speaks of a comfortable, masculine sort of environment, if that makes sense. It's very warm, and though I don't love this flavor of smoke, it's comforting, nonetheless.

This smells so odd to me at first--a murky swirl of rose and cherry and lavender. It's cool and almost creamy, but the cherry spikes through it every time I sniff. As it dries, the rose eventually disappears, and the cherry fades. In the end, this is a quirky lavender scent on me, with the barest hint of musk.

Yum! The vanilla cake bursts out on first sniff, but the tartness of the currants sneaks in quickly. After a while, however, this morphs a bit, so that it's more akin to fluffy vanilla frosting, swirled with a bit of berry sauce. And yet it still smells dry, not at all creamy. The throw isn't strong after a few minutes, but what sticks around is delicious.

Wow! Creamy vanilla with a hint of dry spice, and a breath of cold behind it. This is gorgeous! Creamy vanilla scents often go plastic on me, but I think the sandalwood in the blend has tempered whatever does that. After a minute, the amber warms the blend nicely. On me, the sandalwood amps over time, and I end up with something that's like a less intense Baghdad. I don't get any sweet pea at all.

Hm. On first application, I get a bright and sweet orange, but that's quickly overtaken by sharp bites of pepper. It's interesting, because every time my nose settles on the kumquat and orange notes, the pepper intrudes and tumbles everything about again. It's a neat scent, but uncomfortable for me. And I'll second the review comparing this to Fruity Pebbles, as well--the sweetness of the blend ends up becoming very sugary.

Wow! This is lovely, tart and sweet on first application. I adore mango, so I'm glad to see it pop up in another GC. This blend is delicious fruit tea to my nose, so close it makes me thirsty.
-
To my nose, this is resin and confection, tart fruit boiled into a warm syrup. There's musk, I think, something that lends smoke to the blend, and something that's between herbal and floral. It's warm, but it makes me think of the sun setting. Interesting.

I get ozone and citrus from this. It's nice, but reminds me very strongly of dryer sheets. Strong and sneeze-inducing, but also clean and pretty.
