This was the convergence scent I was most interested in, and I'm glad I got to try it. Frankly it's one I'll keep in the Hoard but probably not really wear though. It starts incredibly strong, and has a cologny kind of smell to it in the vial. On my skin it had the overwhelming 'cologne' smell when it was wet, then dried down to a powdery floral incense resinous type thing when dry. People have commented on it being musky and I didn't get that at all. It lasted all day on my skin. I didn't expect it to be like that at all. It was a light scent the entire time on me, and I love my deep dark scents. It threatened to turn to powder, but never really quite did, which makes me wonder if there wasn't a touch of Dragon's Blood in it, as that's my usual reaction to it. A few people have compared it to Smut, which is one of my favourites and to me they were nothing alike, so maybe that is the source of my disappointment. I do find it comprable to Gypsy Queen, which was never a big love of mine, if that gives you an idea of it. For some reason I can't help but think the Voodoo Queen should have been a little bit nastier, this one was too nice for me.

A very tricky kitty, indeed. Used most often as a key to bringing back the joy one needs to have in life in order for living to feel worthwhile. Brings back a sense of delight in simple pleasures, and creates a surge of childlike curiosity and a youthful sense of fun. This blend can also be used to reverse troublesome lesser crossings, create a playful air of catlike sexuality, and, because cats will be cats, it can also be used to throw minor, irritating or bothersome hexes, causing small amounts of chaos and disruption to your foes. Powder, developing into Spicy Powder. A very dry and sharp scent but not unpleasantly sharp, just clear. Oddly enough I put some on a friend and it smelled much sweeter on her, slightly citrusy and I could make out the mint as well. I got no rose from this whatsoever, how strange.

I'm so pleased I decided to ignore the reviews and grab a bottle of this. It's lovely. I ordered one of each of the scents released at the anniversary update and this is the absolute winner. In the bottle it smells like grape... and pear, even though that's not meant to be in it. Fruity, but crisp fruit, not sweet fruit. Slight woodsy background notes from the bottle as well. On it smells like fruits and the wood and moss notes come up as it dries down. There is the animalistic note to it always, which I guess is the civet, but it isn't unpleasant. Even though I tend to like musk (I haven't has much experiance with civet before now) I expected this to be heavy and possibly a bit cloying, and that was my biggest surprise, it isn't at all. The fruit notes give it an overall crisp, sharp feeling, which is fabulous. I don't know how to really describe the civet. I expected it to be musky, but it isn't, where musk is heavy and foggy the civet note is quite high and sharp. It is animalistic, kind of feral, but in a feminine way, whereas musk is quite masculine. It's aninteresting choice for the blend, as Puck is male, generally quite androdgynous, but definately male. I didn't get much berry from it though, and I couldn't really pick out the sage, I guess that just sort of blended in with the overall earthy feel of the scent. [Edited to add this paragraph] It did morph a bit on me after a few hours. The berry came out more and the fruits faded. As the fruits faded the civet note became more dominant, there was a period where I kept sniffing my wrists trying to decided weather it had turned totally nasty or not. But I decided not, I had that same reaction to Geek, which is now a favorite of mine. It reminds me a bit of the 'feral woods' smell of Geek in general. That's about the closest approximation I can give, a fruity, crisper, version of Geek. I kind of wonder if Beth changed the blend for the resurrected version. Toned down the civet a little perhaps. It seems to have gotten more positive reviews since its re-release. I'd love to try some of the original to compare. I'm really curious as to how this one will age.

This one is amazing, it's in my top five list easily. It smells like cinnamon, a yellow amber and other spices, it's a very dry scent. It makes me think of a lion stretched out with their pride on a hot summers day. It isn't too strong for eveyday wear, but still has a beautiful spicy kick. I think this will go great in an oil burner as well, my house will smell fabulous. Unfortunatly I have to wait until my next lab order for that. The imp I've got has to last until then. This has to be one of, if not the worst BPAL scent I've tried. It smells like fake pumpkin flavouring in the bottle and burnt plastic when I put it on. Such a shame. I got no nutmeg, no spice and no butter at all, just super strong fake pumpkin smell. I'm quite nervous now as well, I have a Pumpkin Patch set on the way at some point. If they're all with the same pumpkin base I'm going to have problems.

How sad, as usual with blends containing Dragons Blood I can barely smell anything else. And as usual it has turned to powder on my skin almost instantly. I wish that note would love me, but I guess it's just not meant to be. I applied about two hours ago, and it was powder within 10 minutes and hasn't since revived even the slightest bit. Although the smell is quite strong still so I guess on most people this would last well and have fairly decent throw. I can't really get anything else out of it, and I'm sure it's not working as intended either, since I'm here reviewing instead of writing the paper I'm meant to be working on.

I love this. Aquatics are normally terrible on me, but I've finally found one I like. I'll be wearing this regularly. I didn't find it overly masculine at all, it isn't feminine, neutral is probably accurate for this one. In the bottle there's a sharp smell, which stays for the first ten minutes or so once you put it on. But then it mellows and gets smooth, someone described it as 'silky' above, and that's the best word I can think of for it. It reminds me of like deep, cold water. There's a hint of green in it, which makes it a touch more complex, but not overly so. I get no florals at all, for which I am thankful. In general I'm just amazed, this one really loves me. I'm tempted to start hoarding bottles of the stuff.

Lovely when I put it on, mostly musks with a sort of spicy kick from the dragons blood. The musk notes change and mature as it dries down. It's very deep and strong and quite sexy at first. But alas, it smells powdery on me within an hour and I have to wash it off. Such a shame.

I'm in love with this. I normally avoid florals because I think they're too feminine for me but this is beautiful. In the bottle I could just smell the jasmine, but when I put it on I got mostly honesuckle. It's a heavey, humid scent. It reminds me of hot summers days when I was younger. I could swear I also smealt frangipani in here, even though I know it's not there, which just added to the heavy tropical feel of it for me. The only problem was that the 'decay' element was so subdued that I could only ever get hints of it after dry down. It's still a beautifly scent though. I think I'm going to invest in a bottle of this one.
