    Danube

Wet, this smelled of rhododendron and something watery. On, the something watery is stronger, almost brackish except not, because it isn't a salt smell... it is sharp though. There's a hint of some other floral in the background, which my uneducated nose guessed as buttercup, but is probably the bellflower. I also guessed "lilac", not because it smells anything like lilac, but because it's a very "blue" scent (and I've only one other time ever gotten a color from a smell). Blue Danube, indeed! After an hour the sharp note calmed down and the rhododendron and other notes played nicely together. Lots of waft but not overpowering. This is very long lasting on me! At about 9 hrs I washed my wrists before bedtime because I sleep with my hands near my face, and I was getting tired of smelling like SN Rhododendron by then. A day, a shower, and testing Jack on my arms later, and I can still smell a bit of Danube on my wrists. I like this scent, but I get tired of it before it goes away. For once I wish for something to be not so long lasting! My childhood home had rhododendrons lining the walk to a huge tree (cedar, maybe... something coniferous with peeling bark) that I used to play under all the time. I may keep this imp until Yew-Trees arrives... if they layer well, this would be the scent of my childhood playtime. ETA: My first lab order got here the same day I posted this, and Danube was the frimp. Now I have a pristine one to swap, and one to save for Yew-Trees experimenting.

    Kitsune-Tsuki

This is my first review, so please forgive my uneducated nose. Wet, Kitsune-tsuki is a light floral. On, it was richer and more complex, but still light. I hadn't re-read the lab's description before trying it, and alternately thought I could smell orange blossom or maybe peach, and in retrospect was surely the Asian plum. It briefly reminded me of a fruit Chapstick, but that passed quickly. After 10 minutes it had sweetened further, really nice without being overpowering. At 1.5 hrs the smell was still very consistent with the 10 minute mark, and it lasted a total of about 6 hrs on me. It never got to the vaguely yucky, generic "perfumey" smell that's the final stage of many florals on me. This doesn't sound particularly compelling, but I just HAD to leave a review because of how this scent made me feel. I tested it on the first day of my period, figuring I'd just try it again in a few weeks if it seemed wonky. Well, it was fabulous! I felt a bit like a rapid cycling manic-depressive... feel gross and uncomfortable, sniff wrist, instant happy! Conclusion: one of my favorites so far (I've only tested 2 dozen or so). Definitely a keeper!
