    Numb

ITB: violets. On: slightly violet soap. Dry: this is still a bit soapy, but for some reason I get a strong feeling of "potential" from it. I'm going to age it for a couple of month and see where it goes.

    Dove's Heart

This was a lovely frimp from the lab in my very first lab order. In the imp, I get a light floral. On: a whiff of something clean. The only thing I can think to compare it to is deodorizer, but nice. Is that sweetgrass? I definitely can see why this is a calming blend. Very wistful and light. Dry: Florals are coming out more. I'm terrible at individual notes, but I do detect lavender. And while I don't need the soothing right now, I have a very dear friend who does. I will be gifting her with this imp tonight. Thanks labbies!

    Yerevan

ITB: Sweet, with just a hint of florals. On: Florals come to the fore, but I still get a whiff of the fruit. Nice throw. Dry: Nice, medium floral that sort of floats around me. It's pretty, but doesn't wow me. I may have to try it again.

    Silk Road

ITB: Sweetly spicy. I wonder if there is lotus in this. On: spicy, and a bit masculine. Dry: The sweetness is coming back to the fore, and I'm getting stronger hints of the Juicy Fruit smell I associate with lotus. Later, it goes all Old Spice on me, and there's something in there that's making me queasy. Alas.

    Jailbait

ITB: Exactly bubblegum. How does Beth do that? On: Now it's gotten a bit sharper, like that edge that Bazooka bubblegum has, you know, that stuff that comes in the comic wrapper. Dry: Now I get the cherry lollipops, but very softly. Later it morphs into a light floral. Overall, a fun scent to follow as it morphs, but not really me.

    Swank

ITB: I can definitely smell the pomegranate, very yummy. On: The pomegranate is gone now, now I get just the sharp smell of alcohol, then alcoholic soap, then alcoholic lemon soap. Later: Just soap. And soapy soap at that. Gone within the hour. Drat, I really wanted to like this one.

    Ravenous

Ack! Patchouli! Get it off me! Seriously, I had hopes for the bpal patchouli, having heard that Beth's was different. Not on me. Still gag-inducing. But good to know. Anyone want an imp?

    March Hare

ITB: Apricot and clove, just as advertised. On: Cloves, and not just cloves, but CLOVES. Dry: apricot is mellowing the cloves, just a bit. Apparently I amp cloves. I do wish I had gotten more apricot, I might have liked it better. Overall, this very masculine on me. Off to swaps.

    Sin

I smell like the cone incense section of Pier One. Not a good thing for me. Poor little impy, off to swaps to find a better home.

    Titania

In the imp it smells sweet, with just a hint of Juicy Fruit gum. I had previously associated that smell with lotus, but maybe it's the grape. On, it stays very consistent, a lovely sweet scent, but still light and airy. It faded quickly on me, about 2 hours, but I was sparing in applying it, so I will have to try a more liberal application next time. Definitely keeping the imp, but not yet sure if it's a bottle scent.

    Bearded Lady

In the bottle, I smell yummy Stargazer lillies, with just a hint of honey underneath. Wet is pretty much the same. Now that it's been on for a while, I am surprised at the formality of this scent. It's reminding me a bit of Shalimar, though I have no idea if they really smell the same, or if it's just a feeling I'm getting. I'm going to have to compare them to see. This is a wonderful spicy floral which will be perfect for opening nights at the theatre. It does have a nice throw as well.

    Milk Moon 2005

Oof. I almost couldn't bring myself to try this one on. In the bottle, it smells very sour milk to me. I braved the curdled smell though, and I'm glad I did. Once it dried down, it bloomed into a lovely soft floral, with just a hint of spice and cream underneath. It reminded me of lilies, but softer, like I had a bunch of Stargazer Lilies in a vase last week, and the scent has lingered. I'll need to test this one again to see if I like it well enough to endure the sour milk drydown though. ETA: So I tried it again. This time, the sour milk smell was much reduced, and I got a lovely soft floral. My son, who is two, has developed an interest in Mommy's new sniffy hobby, so he asked to smell my wrist. I held it out, he sniffed, and literally recoiled. He said: "Ewww! Mommy have owie?" I have no idea what he meant by that, but I'm taking it as a negative review. Off to swaps it goes!

    The Star

I was very keen to try The Star, because of the reviews comparing it to Spooky, which I adore, but I'll go broke if I keep buying it on ebay. So I was thrilled to get an imp from paperdoll. Thanks! I don't get any vanilla in this at all, which disappointed me, as I was hoping for the yummy vanilla I get from Spooky. However, I have now worn it several times, and I'm beginning to appreciate it on its own merits. On me, it's a lovely light coconut, with just a zest of lime, and is very consistent from imp to wearing to fade. I may just have to put this back on the big bottle list.

    Undertow

Glad to know I'm not totally insane, as I thought I might be last night when I tried Undertow. In the imp it was a sharp mint and camphor scent, then I got a whiff of something sweet and familiar that I couldn't place, but that was gone immediately. I put some on my wrist, and got that whiff of sweetness again, and this time identified it: Juicy Fruit gum. Again, it disappeared right away. Undertow lasted about two minutes on my wrist, then disappeared. I was left with a very faint (as in press my nose to my wrist, then I can barely smell it) scent of ozone. While not the scent for me, because of its transient nature with my chemistry, I am glad I got to try it. It was a fun ride.
