Fourth-ing Lemon Scented Sticky Bat. It's lemon and sugar with a hint of crust/cookie - it really reminds me of lemon bars. If you're up for trying non-BPAL scents, Starring Fragrances has a couple good foodie lemon ones - Lemon Chiffon Crème is my favorite.

Lots of sweet fruit (fig!) with a hint of bread. No booze here, strong throw. I generally like fig scents, but the sweetness is a tad overwhelming. I wish I could smell more of the spices (cinnamon, clove, ginger).

Nero used to work pretty well for me. The pine+lemon used to cut through the nausea and after several whiffs I'd calm down pretty quick. This was the nausea I got from my period, though - the kind right before you throw up - which is probably different from what your son is feeling, but it might help. Snow White/Lick It/Snowblind and most of the cold blends never really helped- probably because they were sweet. I remember thinking Ice Queen was ok, and maybe Snow Flakes? But both of them were just tolerable, not the kind of "settle down" trigger I was looking for.

Anyone know of any BPAL that smells like LUSH's Demon in the Dark Soap? I love the scent, but it disappears so quick (like most LUSH soaps ). Someone recommended Juke Joint, which is super minty but is all booze on the drydown for me. Are there any other matches/similar ones?

There are definitely a lot of vanilla+mint blends, and Dorian is a good vanilla+tea one, but none that I can think of with all three... Maybe try layering? Green Tree Viper has a lot of mint, lots of vanilla, and then try adding Dorian to it?

When I heard that Geek.Goth was like Sprite/Mountain Dew, I had to find a decant. I love all the fizzy scents I've tried so far (The Hamptons, Polynesian Pop, Golden Wave), with the exception of Twenty One, which was more gin/dry liquor on me than anything else. Geek.Goth starts off with a sharp citrus kick, just shy of cleaning fluid combined with that wonderful fizzyness. It's similar to Polynesian Pop, but the citrus is much sharper, and there aren't any other fruity notes in the way. The drydown softens the lemon until it's just lemon+fizz... whoever said Sprite was dead on I'm not getting the sickening sweetness I usually associate with Mountain Dew, it's actually more like The Hamptons with the lemon from Embalming Fluid. It's got a good throw while it lasts, but it doesn't last too long - maybe 2 hours or so. If I didn't already have a bottle of Polynesian Pop, I'd go on a hunt for this one, but I probably don't need both.

Just got this in the mail! My review might change (I've only been wearing it for 30 min), but here it is for now: Preconceived notions: None! Bought unsniffed, yay for impulse purchases I should note that I am not a fan of heavy florals, unless they are rose. I should also mention that I'm a newbie, and half the time I don't know what I'm smelling I'm definitely in need of some courage and energy at this point in my life, and it would be nice if this TAL could help. Wet: Magnolia. With some green-ness. Not too strong, more like one or two magnolias rather than the whole tree in bloom. Drydown: Still magnolia, but with a hint of some other floral behind it - maybe jasmine? 30 minutes: uh... this might be scent association, but I'm definitely getting a little bit of incense (jasmine, incense, and sandalwood are a little intertwined in my mind). The magnolia is pretty much gone, but there's a hint of another floral undertone, that I want to say is jasmine, but I'm not sure. Conclusion: Can't say much about whether Benevolent Triple Conjunction does what it's meant to yet, but I do like the smell. Florals are not something I usually reach for, but this one is pretty and not an in-your-face floral.

Zephyr was all musky florals on me, after a first flash of citrus, but you might have better luck. I second/third/fourth the vote for Lemon Scented Sticky Bat, I think it's the closest you're going to find to lemon curd. It does get a little sharp towards the end, like Purrsnikety mentioned, and slightly shortbready too, but it's the sweet sort of lemon that you're looking for.

anyone have any recs for nausea? I tend to get very nauseous, just shy of throwing up, during that time of the month, and I've been trying to find a good grounding scent. I've tried all the mint ones I have (Lick it one more time, Shattered, Snow Flakes, Snow White, Cold Moon) with no luck so far. I'm thinking something metallic might work, or maybe even woodsy? I tried Nero the other day and all I could think about was how I smelled manly so maybe not. Any suggestions? TIA!

Incense+Florals is not something I normally look for, so I'm sure someone else will be able to give you good recommendations, but I did happen to try one the other day that was a light white floral+sandalwood in the beginning, and then incense all the way on the drydown- Ronin. Incense isn't one of the notes, and it might just be my skin doing weird things, but I just wanted to throw it out there because it matched your criteria of "floral but not rose" Good luck on your search!

Prior notions: No clue what amber, labdanum or oud smell like, but I love citrus and cedar's definitely a friend, as long as it doesn't get too strong. Wet: warmth. slightly metallic-y, similar to the beginning of Phoenix Steamworks. Dry: hello cedar! extremely strong. After 15 minutes: cedar is still there, not as strong as before, but definitely there. After 1 hour: ...still cedar. If there's something else going on, my nose is too noobish to tell. Conclusions: Aw! I really wanted the citrus to come out. Maybe I'll try it again in a couple weeks, see if things change. I really like the opening note of warmth, I wish it would stick around some more, but if Aelopile is just cedar cedar cedar it's going in the swap pile

I'd love a real matcha note. Ehecatl is supposed to have matcha in it, but it gets drowned out by the lime (which I love, so it's ok ) and the end is kind of a green floral musk on me, no tea at all.

Newbie review here! take that into consideration (aka sometimes I have no clue what I'm smelling ) Wet: floral. Where did these flowers come from? Or should I say flower- it's one note, but I'm not sure what it is, other than it's a white flower. White flowers usually go haywire on me, except for... Dry: lilies. That must be what it is. It's faint and slightly watery now, a good everyday floral scent. Definitely lasts for hours, with a good throw (not too overpowering). Conclusion: I'm not a huge fan of florals, but this one is ok. It doesn't make me cringe like so many of the stronger florals, but I think it's too light and innocent for me to wear on a regular basis. Kinda sad that the salty aquatic notes were missing for me, but it still smells pretty
