Oh. My. Gods. This is one of the most lovely scents I've tried, and I've had the luck to try many already. In the bottle: It's sweet without being candy, and warm without being cinnamon. I love it. I think I'm going to have to buy much of this, it's that lovely. I simply can't wait to try this one on. Wet: Oooh. I definitely like this one. It's a seductive blend, though I can't quite pick out any of the notes. It's warm and spicy, and sweet at the same time. Positively delicious. This one makes be want to eat my wrist. Wearing: Oh. Lovely. I can't think of another more perfect descriptor. This is just a wonderful, warm and lovely scent. It's fading rather fast it seems, though that may be because I was rushed putting it on today. I can smell it in like a cloud around me though, so it's wafting well. This one invokes the image of an open-air market in a Middle Eastern nation, in the early morning when things are just getting warm, and they're baking fresh goods for the morning so there are lots of fresh spices filling the air.

I think my previous orders were sent to cupcake@blackphoenixalchemylab.com on paypal, as at oone point this was the into I had. Are they alright, or should I add that to my email to Nella?
-
*chomps on fingernails* Nella, I mailed you a couple days ago with a quick question .. but .. it's a bit more imperative now. Just need to know if you got the email. It'd be from taniaallen @ comporium . net Damn vacation planning and stupid community mailboxes!

Best BPALs for SUMMER - is it hot, sweltering, sticky outside?

My 'cool' scents right now are Old Shanghai and Embalming Fluid. Anything else is just too cloying or sweet, and some are downright oppressive. I look forward to trying Ultraviolet though .. sounds delicious. I like the mintyness of Mad Hatter so I'll have to try that one. -
jj_j sent us a diluted roll-on of this, but I got an imp from clover in a swap, so I can get more of a feel for it now. In the bottle: Kinda green to my nose. I can sniff out some cherry, but this oddly smells green to me, not red as I expected. Wet: Where'd that rose come from? Wierd! It smells like roses, but there's not roses in it. It calms down pretty quickly though, which is a blessing. I had lilies in my wedding bouquet too, but they never smelled like this. Wearing:This softens nicely. It's a very 'pretty' smell, and while I don't want to smell 'pretty' a lot, I can definitely see myself pulling this out of the box to wear when I'm in the mood. Wearing a flirty sundress and heels. But it's wierd that it still smells like roses to me.

This was one Jason wanted, but he hasn't tried it yet. (It's been sitting in a cute little box in my purse .. thanks astarte!) I sure hope one of my buys likes it, cos it's certainly -not- a feminine scent. In the bottle: I can barely bring myself to sniff this. It kinda smells in the bottle like Cheshire Cat does on me. And it's not pleasant. I can only guess that's the civet. If that's the case, I might do well to avoid civet in the future. Wet: Still that funky-strong odor (I can't quite call it a scent). There is hope it might mellow, but I can't bring it anywhere near my nose. Wearing: Oddly, this wafts with the grape popsicle smell others have mentioned, but if I put it near my nose, it's back to that unpleasant odor. Definitely an animal smell. I can kinda see how some would get 'foresty sex' from this, but it's certainly not a scent for me.

I realized that though vaniclion's already posted his review, I hadn't done mine. And since my Bruja is finally worn off (24 hours later, with only a small touch-up before bed!) I can try it now. In the bottle: I do smell the grape kool-aid if I think about it. To me though it's just a yummy smell. Sweet wine. Wet: The wine mellows rather quickly on me, leaving a musky rose scent that has just a hint of wine in it. Wearing: The musk really comes out on me. Lilith likes me, that's for sure, though I really shouldn't be surprised about that one. The wine comes out more again now, and there's just enough rose ... rich red lush rose ... to make it perfectly lovely. To me this one speaks of something older than Roman baths, something older than Egyptian Kings and Queens .. it speaks of the First Woman. A woman of passion and power .. who would not be commanded by Man.

Where is my order? What is Click N Ship? How long does this take?

*howls* Lord, magpiedee ... you kill me. *grins* -
If I had the capital, I'd gladly start that. Oh yeah, and the skillz Beth and co. have.
-
The CC Now 'shipped' status only means that the lab has taken the order from them. It still has to be processed by the lab staff, which right now is perilously small. Have faith .. it'll get there soon. But I'd still give it two weeks before you start to worry. *hugs*

This one I traded with northernminx for, mainly because I wanted to at least try it. I have to say I wasn't too sure about smelling like chocolate, but y'know, you can't rule out any of Beth's scents before trying them. In the bottle: Yup. Chocolate .. a nutty kind of chocolate. Smells like I imagine the chocolate river in Willy Wonka's factory smelled. Wet: Still chocolate. This one doesn't seem to change much from the bottle smell. While that's not a bad thing, I'm just not sure I want to smell like chocolate. But I'm going to give it a try, at least. It kind of reminds me now of chocolate-chip cookies. Almost exactly. Wearing: Still that amazingly perfect chocolate smell. And again, not a bad smell in the least. just .. not one I would wear as perfume.

Hush girl! She's already working on enough! *grins*

Only if I get to be a charter member! Cos .. lord .. I'd have to deplete my savings for that.

If you use internet explorer you need to click on tools at the top in the menu bar. Then click on Internet Options. In the window that opens, in about the middle of the screen, there should be a button that says 'Delete Files'. Click it. In the small window that comes up put a check in the box that says 'Delete all Offline Content'. Click OK. Your mouse pointer will turn into an hourglass .. for a long while if you've never done this process before. When it turns back into a regular arrow you can close the windo by clicking 'OK'. Close IE, go back to your desktop. Empty your Recycle Bin. Restart. If that doesn't fix it, PM me and I'll try to work you through it another way, as there are a few other things that could be the problem.

That's why I order through paypal, and check with the lab folks first. *grins* However, this time around, with our whopping order, I'm just going ahead and doing a separate order. Not going to hurt us to get them separate .. even if it takes another month. I'm just so excited to be getting so many more delicious scents!

Hey! No fair! Astarte gets her own oil!! *winks* Oh .. wait .. yeah, I got Tigerlily. That's good enough for me. *purrrrs* June 7th. June 7th June 7th .. *chants*

*sings from 'Wicked' .. because Leslie put in in my head* "And nobody in all of Oz No Wizard that there is or was Is ever gonna bring me down!" Okay. Done now. Order being placed for me, salice and vaniclion. *bounces*

Sure. tygher3. I'm up, and bored, and got quite a little giggle over your horrid night, may I say.
-
*snugs Beth* No hurry, darlin'. I know what that's like. It's gods-awful work, proofing. Especially something you wrote yourself. I'm horrid at proofing my own work.
-
Methinks the Beth-goddess isn't done yet. As for CCnow, it went through to secure checkout for me. Probably a cookie error ... even though I'm off work tonight, if you tell me what error, I can try to help you out.
-
I despise CCNow, but I'll run through it quickly to test, since I'm up and doing nothing ..
-
With mine, I combined the shipping for the two when I made the second, though I really don't care how it gets here, so long as it gets here.
-
I have, in the past, emailed Nella to ask to combine orders when I placed them close together, and I've emailed her to ask which would be easier for the lab in this case, since I just ordered about 8 days ago.

Circe was one of salice's picks, but also something I was wanting to at least try. I'm glad he got it last order, definitely. In the bottle: Very sweet. Not the honey sweet of Dragon's Milk or O, or the cloying cherry/almond of Eclipse ... but a very floral sweet. It's almost, but not quite, honeysuckle in the bottle .. I'm guessing the ylang ylang, though I don't know that note enough to pick it out. First 10 minutes: Very floral, but I do get the aquatic nature of the scent. I feel like I'm drifting along in a tropical sea, with crystal blue water beneath me, swathed in hundreds of blossoms of all sorts. Oddly, I also get where jj_j finds the 'white'-ness of this scent too. It reminds me of the gardenia bush my in-laws have .. how those blossoms seem to permeate the air forever. Wearing: This seems to have staying power, actually, and I'm rather impresed, as many of the lighter florals I've tried haven't stayed around. It still is giving me that gardenia/honeysuckle blend that's surprisingly lovely, considering how overpowering they both can be. I can also occasionally catch a fruity smell .. and I still get a 'blue' feel from this. Tropical and delicious.

Oh, no, it's not just you. Jason and I haven't played .. well .. we haven't played since before we quit smoking I think, and that's been a year and a half? Wow.
