This was another extra from Beth, and another that seems to have been made for my twin sister instead of me. It was very cloying sweet on me, heavy vanilla and almondish almost and was just not for me. My sister loves it.

Another extra from Beth...another scent which she must have known my twin sister would love. On me, herby coca-cola gum (anyone remember cola flavoured Hubba Bubba? That.), very sweet and overpowering, and not to my taste. On my sister it smells much better, her body chemistry seems to have an affinity to those kinds of scents. The blend hits everything that she loves, so you have a happy camper there. ------- Kate http://www.amberdragon.ca

This was an extra that Beth tossed in. I think that Beth was thinking of my twin sister with this scent (as an aside, pretty much all the extras she tossed in suit my twin exceedingly well, so I have passed them all on to her). I decided to try it after reading all the reviews. I am not a vanilla fan, nor do I really like food smells or sweet smells so I wasn't expecting to like this one much, and I was right. On me it was overpoweringly sweet fake vanilla, with a cloying spice overtone. I waited for a while and it did morph a little, but my nose started to get cloggy feeling and it was just too sweet for me. My husband didn't care for it much on me either. So my sister was over for a visit and she walked by and said "What is THAT??? I LOVE IT!" so I jumped in the shower to wash it off (normal scrubbing had no effect) and on her it was a wonderful light vanilla spicy smell. Exactly her cup of tea, so I quite happily passed it on. --- Kate http://www.amberdragon.ca

This was an extra Beth tossed in. On first smelling in the vial, it was very verbena and green tea, with a bit of the honeysuckle in the background. Very nice. My mother was up for a visit over the weekend and she really liked it. I put some on today to test it, and it first was very tea and verbena on me, which I really really liked. I have an Earl Grey green tea blend I love to drink and this smelled very much like this, but lemony rather than the orangey bergamot. After a little while, those notes dropped right out and then the honeysuckle came in and it turned very generic floral on me, a bit too sweet for my tastes. 2 hours later, it is almost gone. It's a very nice pleasant light scent, but I don't think it is really me as a body fragrance. I will probably use it in a sachet to scent my guest linens. I think it would work really well for that. ---- Kate http://www.amberdragon.ca

I ordered Hermit just because the name appealed to me. I am quite a hermit and relish being alone, and I spend a lot of time thinking, and living in a little world pulled back behind my face. I am happy to report that in this case, I seem to have found the perfect match. This scent is wonderful. I wish I could know what notes are in it. It is in turns spicy, sweet, warm, but not intrusive at all. I have tried several other scents and noticed that it took some time for me to get used to them, but with Hermit it was perfect from the moment I put it on. It smells a bit like carnations, but not as clovey, but with a sweet base that isn't sickly sweet or foody at all. There is a herbal undertone to this as well, it's almost like Hyssop or something. It lasted the whole day on me, and never once did it make my eyes or face feel itchy or my nose feel cloggy (my problem with department store perfumes). I love it and am definitely buying a large bottle. This perfume is me. ----- Kate http://www.amberdragon.ca

My order just arrived (a re-send from a March 24th order that went astray). So generous, and Nella was very kind and quick to answer. Yay! Thanks Elizabeth, I can't wait to try all of these out. __ Kate http://www.amberdragon.ca
